Great hospitality from the owners of a very tastefully decorated and furnished period property.
Located in an extremely quiet area but central for all Galveston has to offer.

It’s a pristine historical place run by Renee and her fiancee, both great chefs with outstanding attention to detail. The breakfast is mind-blowing, making you feel like you're in a Parisian bistro.

Renee, Robert, and Dexter have been such great hosts. Renee’s cooking is out of this world, Robert’s green thumb really accentuates the beautiful scenery in the backyard, and of course Dexter is the sweetest little guy you will ever meet! We enjoyed our two nights stay! I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a historical journey, it feels like we were in a part of Europe with the beautiful view of the pool and backyard space. We can’t wait to return for our next trip to Galveston.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Coppersmith Inn Bed and Breakfast. The owners, Renee Vige and Robert Clarke were simply awesome. The vintage late 1880s look made our stay a memorable one. The two nights we stayed were blissful. The breakfast was definitely in a 5 star category. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

This is an absolutely beautiful property! The main house is amazing as are the grounds, the food and the host! The carriage house suite is nice, but showing a little neglect. Nothing intolerable, but certainly could use a thorough cleaning and a few repairs.

The Coppersmith home was beautiful outside and inside with lots of history. Renee & Robert were delightful hosts and the breakfasts they served were delicious. The house and room we stayed in was clean but the shower should have had more attention to cleaning the floor and drain. A couple of drawbacks for us was all the outside light and hallway light which filled the room we stayed in at night even with blinds closed. It was like having a big bright nightlight on in the room. The other problem we had was the bed in our room was extremely soft and having back problems made it very uncomfortable to sleep on. These last two issues should be viewed as personal issues rather than complaints about the Inn.

My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend exploring Galveston with the Cottage at the Coppersmith Inn as our home base. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and provided us with a spotless and beautiful suite, delicious breakfasts and helpful advice when asked.
We thoroughly enjoyed our gourmet breakfasts and lively conversation with the other guests each morning! It was the perfect combination of privacy and time to reconnect as a couple and the joy of meeting new folks over delicious food!

The property is a piece of history and like walking back in time and imagining what life was like over 100 years ago. You are greeted with warmth and a love of the time period of the inn as well as beautiful Galveston. The breakfast was truly delicious and we look forward to visiting again. Thank you for your hospitality and making us feel at home.

This place is such a hidden gem . Our stay was a five star experience. From when we were greeted , by our host Renee , we felt a calmness and tranquility during the entire stay . Our carriage house room was very spacious and comfortable. The house is well maintained and the decor takes you back to the early 1900’s . For being such an old property, I noted that it didn’t smell moldy or dusty . The breakfast www absolutely delicious and so filling . They made a gluten free version and it was perfectly prepared. We definitely will return again .

Renee and Robert's pride on their home and in their work shows in both inside and outside appearance, delicious breakfasts, and most of all, hospitality! The other guests were lovely! I think that Renee and Robert's pampering sets everyone up to be in a positive and congenial mood!

I invited my daughter on a special trip. This is our last hoorah before her baby is born in June. Such a wonderful stay. Everything here has an elegant touch And we enjoyed e every minute of it. I can’t say enough about the host and her husband. They are excellent chefs, of course, but they are truly passionate about serving the Right breakfast menu And being the most kind hosts. Also she made excellent dinner suggestions. This house Really shows the love and the history of what Galveston had to offer.
