Great property good breakfast pleasant staff

Located just off the main coastal route is convenient but located in basically an industrial area - not scenic. Rooms are clean and functional but although we did not have a major problem ourselves it was obvious that room sound proofing is not the best. I would recommend asking for a first floor room as we had a small herd of elephants above us - luckily they went to bed quickly :)
Dining room was nothing like it looked on the website - fine for breakfast but not an evening meal. We never ate in the evening so can not comment on the food standard. Breakfast was plentiful and adequate.
Hot tubs were present in a central courtyard but not inviting which was a pity.
If looking for a basic pit stop this hotel would suffice.

Nice location in a town with a nice grocery store and close to Hella where we visited the Caves of Hella.

False advertising. Overpriced dated motel in awful location by the road.

Everything was excellent!

Stuffs are not always present. I had to come back for the second time to check in.
Room is clean. It also comes with compliment breakfast. Breakfast is pretty decent.
I would recommend the hotel.

Safe and Quiet place on the way to icelandic attractions

The room was spacious and clean. Comfortable beds.
The front desk staff was very helpful and responsive. Good spread for breakfast. Onsite restaurant was a good option for dinner. Valhalla restaurant right across from the hotel is also a fun place to check out.

The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was good. Big parking area in front of hotel. Limited food options neadby

Handy stopover for viewing waterfalls en route to Vik. Nice hotel with good restaurant. Shop and petrol station close by.

The staff were amazing. The hotel was clean and efficient. The rooms were a nice size for the 3 of us.
4.2
Staff was friendly and accommodated us last minute after the road was closed over night due to poor weather. Prices were excellent, beds were very comfortable. Thank you for helping us out!

Fine hotel at an affordable price. Good service and friendly staff.

The costumer service was terrible.
I forgot my baby mattress and no one let me know that is was left behind. I was in another part of the country when i realized it was gone
My friend went to pick it up at lunch the day after.
My mattress was in the lobby and the staff would not hand it over because they where having lunch.
They made my friend watch them eating a few feet away right next to my property for 30 minutes.
More people needed assistance, the hotel was paralized because it was lunch time.
Beware costumers to avoid this hotel or not need assistance while there, the staff is unreliable and unfit for service work.

Decent hotel, close enough to major waterfall attractions. The room was outdated but comfortable. Breakfast was OK and there was some wifi issues.

Very nice hotel on the way around Iceland ,hot tubes are perfect to relax .

Hotel Hvolsvollur was fantastic. After seeing that check in closed at 10pm, I emailed to inform the hotel that we might be a little later than 10pm due to picking up our car rental and being new to the Icelandic roads. The hotel were very accommodating and emailed back quickly to say they would stay open for us. We really appreciated the hospitality after such a long and tiring day! The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable bed! We also enjoyed our breakfast in the morning which has a nice variety of food and drinks. Over-all we loved this hotel and would stay again!

Very nice place to stay. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good, especially the chocolate chip muffins.
4.2
Spacious and clean room, excellent breakfast, outdoor hot tubs are available in the evenings.
4.2
No elevator. Complex shower controls. Soft, very uncomfortable bed. Large noisy groups. Good dinner and breakfast.
4.2
A little gem of a hotel in a little town. Friendly front desk staff, a very sizable room, and within walking distance to restaurants. A dip in the hot tub before bed was just the way to end a long day of sightseeing. Very comfortable beds, very clean facility. Excellent spread for breakfast. My only regret was we couldn't stay longer.

I felt the front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great with plenty of variety. Bed was very comfortable. Just what you like after a long day of site seeing.
4.2
This place was nice however the rooms had a funny smell to them.
4.2
The best price/quality ratio during our trip to Iceland: spacious and clean rooms and excellent breakfast.
4.2
Was alright for a night but for the price it was tired and breakfast was very mediocre. The bar was closing early and the hot tub which we were told was available had no water in it.

Comfortable room, breakfast crowded with tour bus riders eating at once. Nice photos in lobby of area attractions. Good location for many tourist sites along Ring Road. Good breakfast buffet although coffee and juice were weak.

This was a lovely place to stay. The receptionist who checked us in was absolutely wonderful. We came late and he waited for us. He was just lovely and a really nice welcoming face after a long day’s journey. The hotel room is super clean and comfortable. They had blackout curtains which was super helpful in the summer. We only stayed one night and it was a perfect stopover to the glacial lagoon.
