Very clean and cozy room. Loved our stay.
4.1
Room 22's bathroom has a tankless hot water heater supplying neighboring units that roared off and on much of the evening and morning. Poor planning.
Two screaming toddlers were heard via thin connecting door.
There was sand-like grit in the bed sheets
Dirt under the beds.
Sink drain extremely slow.
“Mountain View” is very misleading. It's a busy highway and parking lot.

Property is nice, the rooms were not very clean but scott the host and the front desk gentleman fixed it for us. It’s new management so there were hiccups but Scott the host made sure we were taken care of. It is such a beautiful property and the lake is incredible. Would stay there 💯 again!! Such an amazing time. Recommend to everyone!!

I use to work there and the last owners were difficult to work with but they kept that place clean and nice. Its a shame that our small community lost this paradise to someone who only cares about taking your money.

When I checked in, it was just after the check in time and there were so many people there who had apparently bought day passes that there was nowhere for a paying guest to park. At all. It was over 100° and I had dogs in the car and I had to park out by the road. The person who checked me in was not very nice to me, although he was plenty nice to the woman that he checked on before me. The room was good as far as air conditioning and tile floors. The floors were wet and sticky feeling. The bathroom could have used a deep cleaning as well. a couple hours after I checked in there was a public safety power shut off and the staff did not offer any kind of assistance to anyone. Luckily, it came back on after an hour. And perhaps the most disappointing, there is a photo of a pool on the website. The poo looks like it has been out of commission for at least a year. It has been drained and has a couple of feet of disgusting nasty water in the bottom. The entire enclosure is rundown in a state of disrepair with multiple broken pieces of furniture. it looks awful

Lodge team, aka, Charlie were awesome! Had a great time. Got a bit busy from day pass users, but otherwise a fun experience with live DJ at one point. Will return soon!

This property's website lists it as a lodge. The photos are real but well-edited to give an appearance that doesn't match expectations.
We arrived to find a crowded property with extremely loud music playing. As we later learned, these people were just visiting for the day and paid to access the property. Once the day visitors left the crowd diminished and it felt more tranquil. The pool is closed and in disrepair.
Our room was clean, but dated and dingy. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Wonderful owner!

The staff here are very friendly, the lake is beautiful and the water feels cool and refreshing. We rented kayaks for a couple of hours in mid morning and enjoyed every bit of it. They have tubes to rent, a small beach area and plenty of deck space that overlooks the lake to sit and relax. The room was clean and cozy but our a/c unit was clearly on it's last leg. Upper Lake's conviences are only a 6min drive and Lakeport a little over 20min. There is a small store here next to the lodge. We didn't fish here but saw one jump completely out of the water to catch an insect while kayaking. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay! Swimming in the lake was really fun!

I traveled by the lodge several time a year on my way to my Soul Buddy's farm. Every time I pass it by I tell myself I want to stay there. I am so glad I had the opportunity to stay there with my Mom. Beautiful, and relaxing visit. The staff was over the top ~ I highly recommend you pay a visit and when you do - tell 'em Cookie sent you!

Sweet little older resort. Rooms have been updated and were clean. Our room overlooked the lake. Very beautiful. Management was great, friendly, professional and promptly answered pre check in emails. Do not come here expecting a five star hotel. It is a small country older lodge, with the charm and ambiance of such. A wonderful place to "chill". We will be back.

It was not the same from when it was run by Peter. It’s being poorly managed by a very uncourteous staff.

Is what it is

It’s really nice to have a place like this available, to stay in Lake County! Unfortunately, for the insanely high price, I wouldn’t stay here again. Our room was tiny and it was missing things that we needed. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and was the best part of our stay! I wouldn’t pay more than $200 for a room here, and the price to rent kayaks and boats is double what you would pay pretty much anywhere else. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but won’t return. If they’re going to charge this much, they should back it up with higher quality.

The best place for us for the last 15 years. Very beautiful, clean and comfortable. One problem- expensive.

Beautiful scenery. No shampoo in bathroom.
Room is old.

We had the most incredible time at The Lodge at Blue Lakes. From the moment we arrived, Charlie, the host, ensured our experience was nothing short of exceptional. His hospitality and conversations added an extra layer of warmth to our stay.
We stayed two nights and both evenings, used the barbecue grills to cook delicious dinners. Our favorite part was dining in the gazebo next to the grill, overlooking the lake and taking in the scenery. Also, the lodge hired a DJ who mixed great music into the afternoon right on the patio!
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and had back door access to the patio and lawn chairs. You are really lakefront - it was the perfect nature retreat to unwind and appreciate the tranquility of our surroundings.
We will definitely be back!

Staff really friendly always asking if everything is fine good place to get away in peace

The Manager found out it was our Ann and gave us a free up grade with a jetted tub and lake frontage.

Fine motel. Darker curtains would have been nice.

They wanted to charge me $25 each for my three year-old and five-year-old grandchildren to fish off the banks of the property at the lodge .I was shocked that they would do that. They called into the place rustic but in reality it was old and rundown . The swimming pool was full of green algae. we will never stay there again, and in my opinion no one else should stay there either.

Nothing

The room was small but fine. We were not on the lakeside of the hotel which would have been much better than facing the parking lot. The hotel would be super fun in the summer months. We’ll stay here again and next time get to swim.
4.1
The rooms were unhygienic. Side tables not wiped, floor felt greasy. Water doesn’t drain quick enough in shower and you are standing in water as you bathe.
Not terrible (bad enough that I would stay somewhere else next time) until the electricity and water was cut off at night, due to scheduled maintenance. The cheat who manages the place ran away, nowhere to be found instead of telling guests about scheduled maintenance. Guests left to fend for themselves.
I submitted a partial refund request since the property owner knowingly left guests at a property that had inadequate facilities. The property owner confirmed their bad intentions by refusing to respond to that request from Expedia though. However, I am sure they will claim innocence on a public forum seeing the an unwanted review now.
All the best to anyone that goes there knowingly.

the trip was was not good, we arrived Sunday afternoon, a full raining storm. there was not one there. there was note to call for help. we did and there was not phone service. then I hit a ring phone and I was called back 15 minute . understand it was just a down poor. they gave us a code for the room. went into the room , there was no heat, no tv. I called and could not get a hold of anyone. one hour I called and someone pick up the phone, and moved us , understand were both wet, the parking lot is flood. so we moved. we had heat and tv was working. but we did not get the room we ask for . not of the amenities that were that were advertised that were open. everything was closed. I fell that what they stated was bs !!. My wife has MS ! This truly not was advertised.
we work thru this . I hope someone fix this . I know I get taken. this was my big trip when I retired

Very expensive. TV had no sound. Not enough towels for 4 people or toilet paper.

We had an amazing stay at Blue Lakes. All the staff are so nice and the area it is in is amazing. So perfect for families or a romantic getaway. This is our go to place every year from now on.
4.1
The staff was friendly and helpful. We came here several times before and this time we noticed some slight improvement here and there like we now have a microwave in the room. The place is kept immaculately neat and tidy. Don't expect a first class resort, but it has all the essentials you'll need for a comfortable stay and most important of all, it is quiet, peaceful, beatiful and the lake is refreshing to swim in.
