The rooms are basic but this is expected as the hotel is functional and just to spend the night in while in transit. We arrived late and although the automatic key machine was not working, when we called the hotel we had access to the key through another method.

The guy running the hotel was extremely helpful and hospitable, although he wasn't actually there when we checked in. The whole place was locked up and we had to call a number to reach him (possibly because we turned up n hour later than we had indicated on the booking form). Unfortunately as we were using an English mobile phone, the call didn't connect. It was only through the good fortune of there having been another person also waiting to check in, that the owner came and checked us in. We had had a long and tiring day travelling from Beziers due to a cancelled Flight, so his accommodating attitude and the serving of ice cold beers was very welcome. He also found a basketball for our children to play with. The breakfast the following morning was fresh and warm and plentiful, but quite steep at 25 Euros for 2 adults and 2 children. He also rang a taxi for us. Could not fault the service
Unfortunately the outdoor chairs and tables were dusty and dirty. Although clean, the rooms were extremely small and the beds narrow. The air conditioning unit wouldn't switch off, so the room was also quite cold and the noise it made only allowed me to have 2hrs sleep all night. There was one tiny window with metal shutters, which the rain beat against all night which was also quite loud and contributed to the lack of sleep. Maybe without the metal shutters, the noise would have been lessened? It felt very dated and the price per room per night was not much cheaper than the Ibis Budget hotel, which I believe is a whole lot comfier, as reported from friends who stayed there instead of the FastHotel

Clean linen and towels
No air conditioning, funny smell and a leaking shower in one of the rooms. We were told on checking in that the air conditioning was broken and was getting fixed on the 16th August. I find it hard to believe that every single unit in every single room was broken at the same time. Plus they were storing stuff in front of the units. I was told I should have been emailed about the air conditioning before arrival which I wasn't. It was so hot we had to put cold flannels on our children and we barely slept. Not worth being that close to the airport.

Price and location
Checked in at 4pm and then went to visit the city. Arrived back around 10pm to find room freezing. Heating system was broken. Reception closed at this time. We had to sleep with clothes on. Following morning told receptionist and he said we could have free breakfast and his boss would refund our stay. He lent us a small plug in heater for our second night
and said he had no spare rooms so we couldn't change. On check out Monday morning a different receptionist on duty. He said no to our refund and said we had one free breakfast and that was all were getting.

Car parking was straightforward.
Really disappointed here. 1st impressions were not good with a plaque on the counter declaring "I'm the boss" and even checking in took considerably longer than it should have. I'm not sure what the receptionist was doing but there was no communication with me during this time. External carpet stairwell to the room was matted with what looked like dog hair and filthy. Wooden flooring in the room moved when I moved. Entire bathroom was a tiny one piece plastic module stuck in the corner of the room, something akin to what you would see on a plane. Towels and bedding appeared to be clean but towels had long ago lost all comfort and appeared washed out. Mattress appeared to be sat on top of a plywood box and butted up to the wall with no headboard. Did not feel the price I paid reflected the facilities/comfort of the room. Couldn't wait to check out!

This is a small modern hotel in the ZI, ideal for a night before flying from the nearby airport or for accessing Carcassonne from a nearby bus stop. We were made very welcome at reception and the breakfast of cereal, ham, eggs, cheese, bread, croissants, yoghurt, homemade jam and tea, coffee and juice was available from 7.00 and met our needs perfectly. Everything was very clean, reception, dining area and the bedroom and ensuite bathroom, with a comfy bed. Tourist information and maps available at reception.
The hotel is described as 0. 6 km from Carcassonne airport and therefore we thought we could easily walk there with minimal luggage. However the walk involves crossing two busy main roads without crossing points and therefore was not very safe. Our room seemed a bit stuffy and the ensuite bathroom is tiny, but in fact this is not really a problem for one night only. Despite being advertised as offering food Monday to Friday evenings, there was no dinner available on our Friday evening and also no restaurants open nearby. We had to get supplies from a local supermarket, directed there from reception, again with busy roads to negotiate! Despite all of this, we would use the hotel again.

Breakfast v poor. Tiny rooms - felt like a small cabin on a ship. Hi
