Loved our stay as always, staff always friendly and helpful, lovely food, great room, shame about the fire alarms - beeping smoking in the toilets I believe, hopefully perpetrator has been caught, otherwise wonderful weekend
4.3
Great food, excellent entertainment, staff very friendly and helpful will definitely be back.
Only negative it was very hot everywhere
4.3
Spent one night here. Rooms clean. Very central for everything. Food was lovely
4.3
Just needed somewhere for 2 days work. Very busy with pensioners but expensive for what was available.
Struggled to get a drink with evening meal due to lack of bar staff.
B&B but breakfast didn't start till 0830 and i was in work at 0730, no alternative offered.
4.3

4.3
Wonderful stay everything was perfect the room was clean bed comfortable the food is fantastic the dining room a little cramped but does the job staff very friendly and wool really hard and the entertainment is worth a watch but not everyone’s cup of tea
4.3
Good location needs updating receptionists unhelpful waiting to book in just talking to each other ignored me so went back outside moved car and came back in still talking eventually dealt with me asked about booking lighted tram didn’t now that you can do this so booked on-line myself
4.3
Nice clean room, comfy bed. Bit cosy on the loo between the bath and a wall 😔. Staff friendly and always had a smile. Food was nice. Good entertainment. Funny comedian and lovely singer. Would be happy to stay again.
4.3
The check in was smooth room was on ground floor very clean and quite the breakfast was great big selection and the evening meal was fantastic piping hot, first night had braised steak fresh vegetables second night roast lamb mint sauce and fresh vegetables
4.3
we stayed half board and the food was amazing, buffet starter, plated main with a chioce of 4 dishes and good portion sizes and the desert was also buffet style, so food wise we couldnt fault it, the room however wasn't the best, room 103 had a dingy look of an alleyway and was quite small, it could have done with a good refurb as it was quite dated, it was also very confusing how to get to your rooms, you had to go upstairs, across the landing then down stairs, across another landing then up more stairs to the room. everywhere you went, you saw people looking for their rooms. saying all this, i would say we would still go back to this hotel because the food made it worthwhile.
4.3
Hotel needs a full refurb, damp in the room, all areas of the hotel are dated and in dire need of moderisation, however the room was relativeley clean, the food (breakfast) is good and plentiful, we never ate the evening dinner option, overall 3 out of 5 for me.

Stayed for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. My room wasnt too bad although the corriders and stairs in the building are very much in need of renovation. The food was very good, lovely and hot and fresh. Restaurant staff brilliant. The entertainment Friday and Saturday was incredible. Sunday was just so grateful that Emma Norman was singing as the actual show was nothing like the first two nights. The comedian Lennie needs to get a
some new material. Emma was amazing, how lucky is the Viking to have her on board. The housekeeping of the rooms was not up to standard although the lady on reception quickly remied this. Also I got an early morning alarm call at 7 am Saturday and Monday although I had not requested this. Also housekeeping knocked on my door at 9.30 am and 9.45 on day of departure although checkout not until 10.30 am

Stayed over August bank holiday weekend for our first ever time. Parking was good, only problem here was drivers not parking their car, they just drove it in to a spot, making it difficult for others and very selfish. The staff from booking in to leaving were friendly , warm, caring and excellent. Our room was everything we needed for a weekend break, with tea and coffee provided. The food ( we was half board) I could not fault at all, and again the staff were great. The entertainment, we reserved a table, which was good, really good entertainment room, now I am very meticulous with comedians, I think the main stream comedians are not funny at all. However they have a comedian called Buddy Lee, seriously a very funny character and I will come back again to watch him and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
4.3
The hotel was good value and location. The entertainment which is on nightly was a fantastic show of singing, comedy & show dancers. The compare Buddy Lee was funny and entertaining. The food was great quality and many choices, and the staff service was excellent. The location was easy accessible to trams to visit other parts of Blackpool. Parking on site was great and secure.
4.3
Stayed here a few times and always have a good time. Mealtimes provide plenty of choice and quantity. Entertainment is always good. Staff pleasant and friendly.
Only downside this stay was using the shower in one of the older rooms. The fixed position meant that someone taller than 4ft struggles to get under it.
4.3
Good stay excellent staff thanks
4.3
Need a little revamp in certain areas but clean and beds comfy. Rooms cleaned daily and evening entertaimment great. Breakfast very good.
4.3
Entertainment made our stay good
Hotel dated but didn’t bother us
4.3
The hotel was ok , the breakfast fantastic , When I went down for breakfast , I was to hand a card that was given to me by reception, to somebody at the entrance to the restaurant , there was no one there to hand it to . so i just followed everybody in . picked table , and stated eating , a quest came up to the table and said I was sitting in his seat , a member of staff came over , tolled me to move , she walked me to the opposite side of the restaurant (I had a plated full of food in my hand ) she put a card on the table and said , that is your table .It was so embarrassing . The next morning at breakfast I was putting items on my plate ,Heard a slight noise behind me , heard it again ,I turned around , a member of staff was holding a tray of fried eggs , I was not aware she was , there ,I said sorry , but she gave me such a filthy look , They should treat their guests with a bit more respect and curtesy .
4.3
Location great breakfast great room small and lift very small struggled with 2 adults and a small case and small hold-all
4.3
This's our third visit yes the rooms are a bit dated but clean beds have been very comfortable and do the job shower ok and always plenty hot water .The food is excellent and would definitely recommend the breakfast all you can eat buffet style .the evening meal you have a choice of meals and are excellent Evening entertainment is really good staff are very friendly to .would definitely go back
4.3
it was dirty room ignorant person on reception who just wanted you gone directed to lift which we could not get 2 people in with suit case beds too soft room dirty on entry towels had stains damp in en suite looked like dried blood on door frame to shower carpet thread bare just a throw back room to the 50s hotel was more like a nursing home with poor food and service bars closed early when i asked for fresh towels and toiletries was told to go reception we dont have house keeping on saturdays or wednesdays which is disgusting being stuck at one table was not ideal and the floor was not hoovered the 3 nights we stayed same mess on floor each day only good thing was the view from bedroom window
4.3
Only thing we found wrong was the room was far to warm so trying to sleep and I have breathing problems so combination of both wasn't good x
4.3
Liked the speedy reception booking in, the
meals were delicious with plenty of choice. The entertainment on most evenings was really good. The staff overall were pleasant and helpful.
4.3
Staff all very efficient, nothing too much trouble. Food choice at dinner excellent, quality and quantity both in abundance.
Evening entertainment pretty good with bingo Monday & Wednesday.
Resident presenters funny, comedy turn most evenings, fantastic dancers and good singers.
Room tidied every day with nice clean towels, bedding crisp and white, housekeeping was excellent, however our room was a bit dated with a tiny TV.
Would probably return if allocated a refurbished room.
Overall not a bad stay.
4.3
It was a great stay in The Viking.
The property could do with an upgrade.
The Food and Staff are excellent.
Good entertainment on a night.
You don’t need to leave the hotel if you don’t want to.
It’s ideal if you’re going to Blackpool pleasure beach.
We would definitely book there again.
4.3
Food wonderful plenty to eat good quality. Staff nice and helpful. Entertainment brilliant
4.3
Stayed here four times previously and I believe the entertainment isn’t as good as previous stays except the amazing dancers. Also food not as good as previous stays, bacon a little dried up and some evening meals also.
4.3
Really enjoyed our stay. Food excellent.
4.3
The food was amazing, parking within the hotel is totally inadequate but parking next door is brilliant, we went Friday until Monday , entertainment on the Friday and Saturday in the hotel was brilliant, unfortunately on the Sunday was not very good, if that was my 1st night I would have been finding somewhere else for my entertainment. The hotel bedrooms are a little bit dated, but it’s a bedroom at the end of the day, overall, would I go back again, yes, value for money, great location an as said, the food is totally amazing!!!
4.3
First time at the Viking but definitely not our last. What a lovely place, staff are great room was spotless and an amazing breakfast looking out at the sea. Entertainment was very good.
4.3
Hotel is spotlessly clean, but in desperate need for a refurbishment old furniture and thread bare carpets.and tatty in places.rooms are ridiculously hot and a fan doesn't help.
4.3
Lovely location, lovely food.
Unfortunately it was a hot day and the room was excruciatingly warm all day and night. No air con, no fans, just a small window for air. Didn’t sleep at all really. Mattress also too soft. Such as shame as the rest of the hotel was great. I know it’s Blackpool and not normally hot! But a fan in the room would have helped.
4.3
