It was great in some aspects, but lacking in others. Rooms were clean but room service is slow. Depending on when you go to eat at the buffet, the servers can be overwhelmed with the number of customers and you will have to wait for a while before getting served.
Pools are nice, bur they can be cold and The outside Jacuzzi is not warm

We are extremely happy that we chose this place to stay on our vacation. The pools are beautiful. The beach is wonderful.
The hotel itself had many dining options. The food was very good quality. We were never tired of the food. The staff did a very good job of doing everything to make our stay comfortable. The rooms are super clean, beds are comfortable.
The grounds are beautiful!
We would definitely stay here again!

The entertainment team at Iberostar was really great. We had a great time during our stay. The restaurants, including the buffet were really good with a variety of food and options for everyone. The staff in the buffet were really great as well.
The check in process was ok, but we had to wait 1 additional hour for our rooms to be ready. Then, it took an additional hour for our bags to get delivered, I had to call a few times to inquire about the bags. We also had issues at checkout.
Other than getting our rooms and bags , everything else was really great.

The hotel looks like it was in full splendor in the ’60s. The buildings look like they need more care. It is a big property. The staff, in general, are lovely; they always care for the details. They are friendly and polite. We must mention Kenya, who was very courteous, at the beach all days we were there. The beach location is spectacular.

I have been to at least 10 resorts in Cancun prior to this and let me tell you, this was the worst resorts of all. First when you enter the resort, no welcome drinks, not absolutely necessary but in case of this resort the lobby is so hot that would be a good to have. Staff at the lobby was ok, not the most welcoming. After the checkin they want you to reserve one and only one restaurant (Japanese). The rest are first come and you have to come daily at 5 and put your name on the list or wait 2-3 hrs for any restaurant. At the same time you book Japanese restaurant they will try to lure into their sales presentation. Please don’t fall for it, but to each their own. The bus boys were good and helped with luggage and ride to villas. We requested ground floor as they don’t have elevators and with kids to carry them up and down is pain, but that request didn’t go through. They said the next day we might get one but that too with one king bed. So not very ideal with small kids. Next was the ordeal with the key cards. Didn’t work for first 4 out of 6 days we stayed. I had to change keycards at least 3 times and 2 of those was at 10 pm where you have to walk from the villas to the lobby which is not near by any means and pretty dark. The kids pool and club which was our main selling point was not good. Photos dont give reality and don’t fall for it. Room service was good. Food came in decent time. Food though not the greatest but at least came on time. Their coffee shop was good.

The pros: good amount of F&B choices for being an all inclusive hotel.
The cons: old property, room’s amenity is outdated, room isn’t that clean(you can find stains here and there on bedsheet, etc) and overall hotel staffs’ service/professionalism are lacking

I would like to recognize Yoania and Daniel for their professionalism in providing us with their attention and service, which were exceptional, and to all the staff.

I was expecting the same quality of food as I experienced in Iberostar Punta de Mita, however this was extremely disappointing. I cannot say anything positive about the dinning. Unfortunately we were not able to experience three of the restaurants on the property because they're seating system needs improvement. It was noticeable how understaffed they were in the restaurants. They had plenty of reps in consThe staff on hand appeared overworked.

I like the quietness and not too crowded. I wouldn't say I enjoyed the A/C was broken for two days, both rooms and lobby felt hot and humid. the food quality could be improved

Enjoyed our stay. Fernando, the concierge was excellent, Luis & Manuel in the buffet provided excellent service, and Isabel did a great job keeping our room clean. Not a lot of night events but good for short getaway for family

I have stayed at many beautiful resorts in Cancun with amazing service and food. I wanted to try a different resort I should have done my research. The food was average, drinks were not great. We service was a hit and miss. Erving, Manuel, Lilia, Veronica and Salma were great ! Now that’s service ! The only bad experience was with Leslie from the Italian restaurant she was super rude with a couple of families. I was floored at the lack of service she provided.
The AC broke it took over 24 hours to fix in 90 degree weather. I understand that’s out of the employees hands. However what they can control is how they respond to the situation and help accommodate the guest. Iberostar lost my business.

During the initial check-in process, there were challenges regarding the requested adjoining rooms at the pool/beach villas. Despite prior confirmation with the hotel and Expedia to ensure adjoining or at least side-by-side rooms, the accommodation for such arrangements was unavailable at the time of check-in, resulting in separate rooms. After a lengthy check-in process of approximately 2 hours, which negated the purpose of an early arrival, I approached the front desk later in the evening, around 8-9pm. Subsequently, a courteous and helpful staff member facilitated the allocation of adjacent villa rooms, and an additional accommodation. Overall, the front desk staff demonstrated amiability and professionalism, despite the initial reservation challenges.

Stayed here for 4 night 1st night lobby was hot no air conditioning in the lobby. Upon checking in I was charged $500 for my 4 year old daughter I called the resort few months before I booked the rooms and was told that children under 5 were free that was wrong I mentioned to them I they said it was under 3 gave me the wrong information over the phone. First day there room wasn't ready which we were ok with cause we had arrived at the resort early. Buffet food was cold but ok. Elevator we're taking forever to come down and super hot in there AC same in the roomswaited 45 mins in the room for our luggages never came. The shower door wouldn't close water would get everything on floor Maguey Mexican restaurant only had few items took over hour and half and it was cold and wasn't to great. That night most of our group had more then 5 drinks though out the day and felt nothing the drinks were watered down.Day 2 pool was great. there is a food truck outside amazing chicken bites fries and quesadillas the best I ever had. Drinks outside were little better La Horma Italian restaurant had great food. Japanese (Hibachi) restaurant was ok. American Bistro wasn't the best bland food.Last day there was power outage and we were stuck in the lobby for hours w/o power lack of communication from staff didn't provide water people were sleeping outside on the lounge chairs once the power came back the AC didn't work all night in the room for everyone will not be back $2,300 4 night no thanks

The place is clean, the food is ok. The service is great! Some employees stands out among the rest and have a great energy and willing to do anything to make sure you’re well taken care of. They do have one employee who asked for tip 3 times while we’re still eating because he was getting off work already.

Very poor service both the front desk personnel & the restaurants. The food in the mexican restaurant is terrible. The fruits in the buffet is tasteless. They always run out of food. Personnel were overwhelmed & disorganized. They can not handle groups of 15 like ours.

This is our second time coming to this resort. It’s a beautiful resort with 6 different restaurants to choose from. I love that everything is in walking distance. The pools and beaches are a short walk too. Constant pool activities for your children of all ages. I highly recommend it.

The property was clean and well kept, but we had a difficult time with check-in. I had made a change about a week prior to arriving, had confirmation emails and numbers from Expedia, but the front desk could not find my reservation at all. We waited at the front desk for an hour, sharing and resharing my confirmation, dates, etc. Eventually they gave us a room, but it was rather embarrassing to stand there so long looking as if I had never made a reservation. Even the front gate security was able to find our name to let the shuttle drop us off. Other than this, the resort was very accommodating and a good value, but communication between them and third party services needs fine tuning.

Just spent a week with my family. The resort it's ok. Food and entertainment was great but the rooms was old and not for a five start resort. Staff was great too. But didn't like the rooms and exteriors areas.

The people is really nice and helpful. Everyone we interacted with was very polite and nice. Food is good, nor great, but better than the majority of other All Inclusive hotels we stayed.

It sad to see how foreign visitor, specially young people come to the hotel and leave a mess in the pool and beach are. On Wednesday night we saw a group of young males and females asking for shots and get very drunk, they were moved from the beach are but they went to sit in the pool and they ignored The security guard and started swimming . The security guy better left the area and went inside. That could ended in someone could have drowned. I think the staff should stop giving them drinks and ask them to go to their rooms they were children and families around. I am sure they don’t behave like that in their country.
