This place is adorable. Very hippy vibe. The staff were very friendly. We stayed in the treehouse and it was very cool.

Great stay. Which the Jacuzzis actually worked. Its a water park open to the public so be prepared for it to be packed. Other than that we had a great time.

I stayed there for 5 days. There’s no AC so it’s very hot during the day and you’re freezing at night. The pools are dirty and the jacuzzis even worse. The place needs lots of work. The outside it’s beautiful to walk around, but definitely would not stay here again. The restaurant has decent food, but the staff was not too friendly. There’s no one at the reception after 7pm so if you need anything you’re out of luck until the following day. Towels are only provided if you request them and only one per guest. They were dirty and smelled funny too. If you’re staying here def bring your own towels and extra blankets. The beds were not comfortable and pillows were super hard. I stayed at the tree house. Even though it’s beautiful to look out from the outside, the inside needs lots of work. The hot tub looked filthy.

It was an ok stay, pools and jacuzzi fine, rooms are ok for sleeping only, there were no amenities in the room (just beds and tv), misleading it was said in the description there will be a tub, kitchenette and chemenee

I reserved “The tree house” which is not a treehouse in reality, its basically a two-family apartment which your sleep will be diaturbed because everything is heard from one floor to the other.
There is no staff after 7PM, which means there is no reception, no one to go to for a complaint if there is anything wrong.
The “HOT WATER” only works for approximately 60 seconds. Freezing cold water after that.
The reception young lady with long-black hair, light brown eyes has a terrible attitude.
This place is a terrible mess. Disgusting.

This property was beyond disappointing. On arrival we were told that our nido room was already reserved and that that wasn’t there fault even though the pictures on the reservation clearly show that room.. we were then given the tree house room which turned out to be inhabitable and disgusting!! There were hairs on the walls the bed sheets were dirty and had holes on them the “jacuzzi” smelled like grey water and was filthy! There were cockroaches in the bathroom and the hot water didn’t work!! Our deck was unfinished and under construction..That’s on top of a very unfriendly stuff and most of the “facilities” were shut down we encounter empty pools abandoned canopy bridges and very strange circus like cut outs all over the property... I payed almost $300 for this place and had to leave within the second day I wouldn’t recommend this to ANYBODY! This stayed was by far the WORST of any of our travel experiences!

Overall a good place to stay, especially for the price. There is a lot to do there and I loved all of the nearby hiking trails in a beautiful area. A few downsides, I didn't come across any staff member that spoke any English, so communication was difficult; there is only one on-site restaurant; and the other guests can be loud, and the walls are pretty thin. The reason only having one restaurant was a disadvantage is because have dietary restrictions, which were difficult to work around with the limited menu.

A really amazing family resort with many pools, kids activities, and extensive grounds. Don is just the best caretaker and showed us how to walk to their private water fall. The rest of the staff were ok but not overly helpful. Beds are made of broken springs from 1980s.the tree house is this amazing , but rustic, adventure. Highly recommend getting that room. Hottubs everywhere!

The room wasn’t super clean and it was located right below the restaurant/bar so it was really loud. The beds weren’t confortable. The pools and the hot tubs were great. The staff at the front desk seamed annoyed everytime I asked a question about the surroundings and where I could find a restaurant or something to do in the area.
You get a nice view of San José from the hotel.

Accessibility for handicapped was limited but they did make the best they could by changing our room to an apartment with no stairs or steep inclines and parking next to the room. It is a mountain resort so the inclines are steep. We were only staying a short while so we didn’t try to get to the pool, etc. Nice view!

It’s a great idea, but the execution is poor. The hot tubs and pools are all cracked and dirty. There is no maid service. You have to get your own sheets and towels each day. Breakfast is greasy and expensive.

The location is nice, lots of nature around the property. Staff was friendly, food was OK. However some 'attractions' were closed and it looked like some areas could be given better maintenance. Beds were terrible and we woke up with back aches. There was a sewer-like smell in my brother's room coming from the bathtub drain when it was left uncovered.

I liked the view of the property. Also, the people at the desk are amazing. Everyday we were greated and helped with our itinerary.

Really amazing place. I have been visiting and living in Costa Rica since 2009. Most people think Arenal or Jaco but if you want a really relaxed mountain jungle experience, where your children will never be bored then this is the place. Great water park with great slides plus many hot tub pools for a great view of the sunset. This is a rustic mountain resort with cabins that have real fire places (they even have cut wood in bins for you to use. They have a full restaurant and bar and the prices are amazing. 5 beers and chicken Nachos for $10-12 depending on exchange rate. Owner really cares about you having a great time. I stayed here about 4 separate times and on one visit was not that satisfied with checkin or service. The owner reached out and contacted me and fixed everything. Great owner great place, a must stay for Costa Rica vacation.

It was fun for the kids to stay in this hotel.

From arrival to check-out I was welcomed & cared for. Following a lengthy flight which unexpectedly arrived after the specified check-in time I was a little amped up, but was quickly greeted by security who kindly checked me in and safely showed me to my breathtaking room (WHAT A VIEW!) Don who works on-site is a blessing; showing a real desire to share good vibes & ensure a positive guest experience. Thank you. The traditional Costa Rican breakfast is delicious and lasted me two meals! Visit the waterfall (it's a short hike within walking distance), do everything; pools, water slides, several hot tubs with ample privacy, hiking, zipping, paintball, perhaps there's more ... In fact, I'm considering forfeiting my last night stay elsewhere so I get one more nibble of this beautiful Costa Rican resort - Highly Recommend! Close enough to the airport. Y'all really set the tone here 🌿 Pura Vida

It was ok for one night. 20 mins drive to airport.

Terrible service from front desk check in to restaurant. Food not only cold and disgusting but dangerous to eat spoiled old food. Room are dirty and falling apart. There is a difference between rustic cabin and a getto shack. No hot water cold showers were painful especially for the kids. Water park is ok but very dirty and dangerous for kids to walk, swim and play in. Not enough chairs and tables for people to put their items on and security is poor as you need to watch your stuff at all times so it is not to be stolen. To many people are let into the park as it is opened to the public as well as hotel guest.

I gave a review after my first of two nights stay, in which I gave my comment of the hotel as being 'pretentious.' I still have that view as a non-Costa Rican, but can see its appeal for the local population. Maintenance was poor: we had a Jacuzzi, king bed suite, but how much fun is a Jacuzzi tub which will contain water only to a depth of 3 inches? - as the tub stopper let water by as fast as the faucets could replenish it!! Such matters were so off-putting that we didn't really explore much of the facility. I did observe a number of 'Sky walking' entertainments which, as an engineer, I considered to be absolutely dangerous, and which would certainly not be permitted in the US without considerable additional safety precautions. It definitely wasn't for me.

Language barrier that was not identified prior to booking prior to booking.
(One of my main requirement was that it had an English speaking attend)
(One of my only 2 prerequisites was air conditioning and this also was not available)
To despite all that already going wrong! The staff was rude and not helpful even with my mother-in-law (Costa Rican) translating.

Not as close to the airport as I thought,...but not the worst. Good place to stay for a couple nights. It's great for families with kids since there are quite a few pools/activities to keep them entertained. We stayed in the tree house. It has nice views though our water was quite cold.

What a great place. I had no idea there was so much to do here onsite. Zip line, paintball, waterslides, trail to a waterfall, great restaurant , Jacuzzis...
I wish I had stayed here longer. Good base. Uber to city or airport from here for under$20 .
If you want to see real Costa Rica, here it is.

stayed in "tree house room." Boy do picture deceive. Facility in poor condition, no hot water, no comfortable place to sit on balcony. Overall: Depressing.
