The service was so personal it felt like we were part of their family. We were greeted by friendly staff who immediately took our bags while we checked in. We received private tours to the volcano and waterfalls which are amazing. We got to see and feed some amazing animals. The guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The views from the room are breathtaking. The lodge is pricey but worth every bit of it. The food the atmosphere all the activities that they offer make this lodge a one of a kind. We spent two weeks and traveled from the Caribbean to the pacific and this was our most favorite place. Would definitely come back

My stay here was amazing, it was a bit pricy and I felt that some meals should have been included. The overall experience was amazing and the staff was amazing.

Great location, excellent staff. Property and rooms are clean, but vibe is totally 1970s. Needs to be updated.
Also, animal wildlife sanctuary reminded us of '70s zoo. Enclosures are too small for larger, pacing animals.
They need to update entire property, especially for the poor animals.

Loved all the guides! Knowledgable and fun! Room service was always fast. Room was beautiful. The restaurants onsite - food and service were top notch

We stayed for a night at this beautiful resort on our drive from La Fortuna to Manuel Antonio.
The room includes access to the park and for a small price you can add on a night tour of the frogs and can also feed the toucans and sloths (both rescued) and wild humming birds on the property. The water fall hike and other animals on the property were great.
The room was amazing with two jacuzzi tubs, one on the balcony with a great view overlooking the park and the other in suite with its own water fall.
The restaurants at the resort were delicous with great service.
Will definitely be back for a few nights next time we are in Costa Rica.

This was our second time at the Peace Lodge and we loved it just as much as the first time. The lodge is beautiful and the rooms are incredible. Hot tub on the balcony? Yes please! Each and every staff member went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Special thanks to Pablo, Michael, Daniel and Jose who went above and beyond to make us happy. We could not have had a better experience. The area is breathtaking and the weather, while unpredictable, was a nice break from the heat of Florida. We brought our two kids (10 and 13) and they enjoyed the animal sanctuary many times. We visited the animals every day, hiked to the waterfalls, and even arranged to visit the Poas volcano with a private tour guide. The food was amazing and beautifully plated each time. If you can, catch a trout in the pond and they will cook it for you right there and then! Please take advantage of the animal tours, the restaurants and even the gift shop. We can't wait to come back and see our "friends."

What an amazing time. Being able to experience the animals up close and personal was the best. John was our tour guide and made the experience even better and Freddie at the Fri t desk made sure all went well.

This property was amazing! We were met at reception with a tropical welcome drink. The views were incredible from their deck. The staff was incredibly accommodating. Our room's bathroom was as large as the actual sleeping area. It included a huge shower PLUS a normal sized shower, a two-person jetted tub/jacuzzi, and our own personal indoor waterfall. Unlike some places in CR, you are able to flush toilet paper here. Our balcony had another two-person hot tub, a table, and a hammock in addition to our own well-visited hummingbird feeder. The views from the balcony were breathtaking. Our two children stayed with us, and the staff set up two separate roll-away beds that felt like part of the room. Our room also had a personal fireplace. The animal sanctuary on site was one of the best experiences we had for the duration of our CR vacation. That was partly thanks to the exceptional service of John, one of the staff members. He is the one who picked us up from the airport and drove us to the property (additional fee) and gave us private tours on the property. We signed up for both the nighttime frog tour (so cool! and John showed us all the frogs up close, including teaching us how to croak at one of the toads so it would respond) and the early-morning animal feeding. John guided us in feeding the toucans, the sloth, and the hummingbirds. At every step, he offered to take pictures and suggested the best ways to pose for memorable shots. Book at least two nights. 10/10

Peace lodge was very beautiful . It has so much to offer with feeding the animals they rescued to enjoying the beautiful waterfalls right on the property. The only downfall of mine was they don't have air or a ceiling fan but overall it was a great joy staying here .

The Peace Lodge is an incredible property. The rooms are like nothing you’ve ever seen - the design and thought put into the construction is beyond compare. It’s like something designed by Gaudi. We stayed two nights and enjoyed all of the animals, the waterfalls, the beautiful pools and hot tubs, and our room. The bathrooms are awe inspiring.
My only small criticism is the beds, although beautiful, are on the stiffer side. May be common in Costa Rica though.

Absolutely loved our stay. Staff was amazing and attentive. The grounds are open to people staying after the park closes so it was nice to explore. They offer animal interaction feeding for a reasonable price per the room regardless of number of people, which was great! Had free fishing on grounds which kids loved. Dinning was great. Enjoyed our stay.

I always love staying at this property. It is a paradise dream and I love waking up to the birds saluting the rising Sun. This is my third time staying here at this property. This round I brought my 6 year old nephew who completely loved the animals and the waterfall trails and everything. I always recommend this property to everyone who is planning a visit to Costa Rica.

Exceeded our expectations. Literally felt like a private resort with no one on the waterfall trails and even the gardens were sparsely populated after they closed to the general public. We plan to come back without the kids in the near future.

They had amazing access to wildlife. We had been travelingb in Costa Rica for 2 weeks and had not gotten close enough to a Toucan or Sloth for a good photo. We saw both and so many more birds and animals. The waterfalls were beautiful too!

Great property, staff was amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable. We arrived late for check in, the restaurants where already close. They had some sandwiches prepared for us so we won’t have to sleep with hunger.
Amazing surroundings, the waterfalls, the mini zoo, just beautiful! Would definitely stay again!

The Peace Lodge is such a wonderful place to stay. I absolutely love everything about the room, bathroom and the outside balcony. The La Paz waterfall reserve is a great place to explore. This is my go to spot everytime I come to Costa Rica.

Our family’s first trip to Costa Rica and we were in awe of this property. Everything you could ask for & more! We only wished we had stayed a few more nights before moving onto our next adventure! Highly recommend and we can’t wait to visit again!

Overall, the property is very well maintained except for the Falls Trail. All the other trails are well marked and provide excellent views of the forest and waterfalls. The staff are exceptional and assure that that all your needs are met. We were traveling with our 90-year old mother & they provided a golf club to transport her up & down the hill when we needed it. Food was excellent and the servers were very attentive . We loved our room and really enjoyed the views, the hot hot tub on the deck as well as the in room amenities. We will highly recommend this lodge to all our friends traveling to Costa Rica.

A beautiful property with everything you could possibly want. Comfortable room with a fabulous view, we were only there for one night, the breakfast was delicious.
Access to the La Paz Gardens and Waterfalls was a plus, take the time to explore the property.
Just a short drive to POAS National Park. Be sure to go early as the clouds build very early in the day, By 9:30 the Volcano was socked in. We were there in the rainy season - taking a raincoat everywhere you go is a must.

A very beautiful property! We woke each morning to the beautiful sounds of the birds and all the various animals waking to the morning. All of the staff were so personable and shared more than the beautiful things at the resort but about the area close to the Peace Lodge. If you are looking for a romantic spot it is wonderful but you may want to ask for a room to be away from the pool as the children get very excited when visiting that area. Muchas Gracias to Michael, Pablo, Greivin and the entire Peace Lodge Staff.
