We stayed in a 2 bed, 2 bath town home at the top of Sugar mountain. The views were breath taking! The place itself was very spacious. It could do with some remodeling in the kitchen and throughout the apartment but was really not a big deal for us. The ladies working the office were very friendly and accommodating!
My daughter really enjoyed the game room and hot! We would definitely stay again!

Our first time staying here. A little disappointed we did not get the view that was shown online - we did not realize there were multiple bldgs some with views some without and also some with private balconys and others with just a common walkway. Apartment was very clean and office staff was very nice and accommodating. Also did not realize there was no a/c but that was our fault for missing that in the description. Overall a nice stay and we would consider staying again just maybe seeing if we could get a different view.

Charming place to stay and hit the slopes.

Stayed many times. Great price for spectacular view

The travel up to Highlands is well marked. Staff at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. For a couple travelling the accommodations are roomy and the bed comfortable. My only feedback is to label the light switches and the heater dials.

We had an amazingly wonderful stay here in Unit 106B. The views are breathtaking and the staff was beyond friendly and inviting! We will definitely be coming back!

This is wonderfully located to access both Sugar and Beech Mt. The staff was absolutely amazing and wonderful to do business with. The property is older but has such beautiful views and the size of the apartments are huge. I wish I had booked directly instead of through Expedia.

Polly was kind enough to move me to a quieter unit, so I could work on my book. It took them some trouble and extra cleaning. What a kind extra mile!

The cost was comparable to other places in the area. We chose it for the amenities. The game room and puzzle areas they provided were a big hit with our young boys. The fooseball and ping pong equipment was definitely well used but that actually made us more comfortable in allowing our 4 and 7 year old to use them. They also had two gaming consoles that the kids thought were the greatest. This added huge value to our stay as it was fun and free activity right on property for evenings when we wanted to 'take it slow'. The property is dated. We are aware they are in the process of updating units but we couldn't tell if ours was considered "updated" or not because some things seem to be new (bathroom fixtures, etc.) but other items like flooring and firniture seemed worn or older styles. The staff was extremely helpful. Overall the stay was good. Our kids had a great time and we were so close to Sugar Mountain snow tubing/skiing and the Alpine Wilderness Coaster.

Great property in a great location. The unit was clean, roomy and comfortable. My only complaint is the strict checkout time. We were really hoping to get an extra 30 minutes to check out but management was unable to accommodate us. We ended up leaving some valuables behind as we were rushing out the door.

It was very quiet and we liked that there was no one above us. The apartment had all of the amenities we could ask for.

This place needs a a major update BADLY! Our rental had paint chips falling from the ceiling! Overall and for the price paid for this rental the property management should fix this space up and bring it up to date! This place feels like you stepped back into the late 70's...

We had an amazing stay over the weekend and after a long day of snowboarding it was great to have the jacuzzi open late night when I needed it most. I would highly recommend this place.

Great skiing and restaurants, very nice condo with nice staff.

The heater in the bedroom was broken. Despite the temp being in the teens it took three days for someone to bring a space heater alternative. We returned home to find that the family had contracted HEAD LICE from the linens. Which were suspicious looking to being with. When I opened the pull out couch the old linens were still on it unwashed. I am disgusted. The office offered no attempt at making it right over the heater. And they were swapping furniture during our stay. Throwing couches out into the parking lot and road which stayed that way for days.

Could use an update but good for size and price.

We have stayed at this property many times. In the past, we always booked the 2BR condo and found it to have plenty of room for our family to spread out and was very comfortable. This year, we had the 1 BR because that was all that was available when I booked. Probably the worst thing about it was hearing the ridiculous stomping of feet above you (seriously sounded like they were teaching elephants gymnastics). The unit was not as clean as I would have liked/expected- especially since there is a list of things you must do at check-out. (The dishwasher had dirty dishes in it) All in all, it is a good value for what you get with a great location to explore everything in the area

I enjoyed the mountains views and the overall location of the property.

Loved the views. Disappointed in how outdated the unit was. It definitely was not the unit in the pictures. BED was horrible. Maybe slept 2 hours straight. Check-out was 10 and we were out by 0730 due to not being able to sleep.

We enjoyed everything about our stay here. The rooms were very clean and had everything that you could need. We were also very happy with the pool area being open 24 hours.

Room was not as described, pool was not available, hot tub not available. Has definitely declined since our first visit there. Will not be returning. Very disappointed. When issues are we addressed with staff, nothing was done to correct or make visit better. No reimbursement offered.

This is the best property we have ever stayed in the Boone/Banner Elk area. Fantastic views of the mountain ranges, beautiful sunsets and misty dawns. Very spacious 2 Bedrooms and 2 baths, very clean and nice furnitures. The place is a heaven. Will certainly come again. A bit winding roads to the property and the directions at first can confuse the GPS but just keep to the main winding road uphill and the property main office will come to your left. Be careful with the uphill winding road. We enjoyed a moonlight dinner, and beautiful views during the day. Not much dining options until you get to the bottom of the hill to Banner Elk so do your groceries and use the fully equipped kitchen as best.

3rd year staying here in September, no issues to report. Staff is excellent as with all our stays at this location.

The property was a perfect fit for our family occasion! The view . . . oh my goodness, the view was breathtaking (especially at night). The front desk agents were accommodating and the overall experience did not disappoint.

Excellent location for Lees McRae or skiing. Great views!
My only complaint is that it was warm when we were here in early September and the unit didn't have air conditioning. (we didn't see that in the listing) In addition, the unit doesn't have any windows (just screen doors) and the ceiling fan in the primary bedroom didn't work.

The property is nice but inside the condo needs work. There were large cracks in the ceiling. Looked like the roof was falling in. Also the bathroom door had holes in it. The sleep on couch was very old and falling apart. We also had twin sheet for a Queen pullout. It could be a very nice property but it looks like they’ve made some upgrades but not enough.

This place is ok. If you don’t actually need a place to stay but want a hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable, pillows hard as a rock, and we found foot prints on our sheets. After speaking to management they didn’t care and just advised they would alert maintenance and housekeeping. Speaking of which you have to take out your own trash and take off the sheets too. Don’t advise it for the price. But it’s not like there’s many choices.

Here's the thing. This place is not new. The floors wave up and down. You can hear your neighbors every movement and don't get me started if there are kids above you. Holy cats! Do not count on the sleeper sofa as a place to sleep. It isn't. It's way past needing to be replaced. Like frat houses have better furniture. There is more space than a hotel room with the convenience of a full kitchen. The kitchen has minimal tools but we made do. If you can get a condo without kids above you and really don't need it for much but a place to lay your head, it's fine. Just don't count on the sleeper sofa- even using it as a sofa is painful.
