Great customer service

Everything was good except the internet. We inquired once and they said they would reset the router on our floor but it didn’t seem to resolve the issue
2.5
Great stay at Hotel Beacon, the room was spacious and clean. Quiet and comfortable, we would definitely stay here again. It was nice to walk to Central Park and through the area without the usual congestion of NYC.
2.5
Very large room with separate door for bedroom. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Great upper west location. Quick elevator. Left something in room and housekeeping shipped it to us. Great service all around.
2.5
Really nice hotel. I am unsure if we were just lucky with the room or if that is just the general standard, but we had a room on the 21st floor with a heavenly view of the city.
Otherwise: Great and friendly service, really clean hotel, great location and relaxing lobby with a view of the bustling sidewalk outside. Before our stay, we had cycled through 2 other hotels in New York, with comparable prices. The Beacon was, without doubt, the best value for money.
I ll be back.
2.5
We picked this hotel because it was next to the Beacon theater, which we saw a show at. Extremely convenient in fact, probably the most convenient hotel for the theater. The view we had was spectacular in room 2012. Great one night stay.

Clean, all around they were very tidy. Thats how i ended losing part of my lunch. My card didnt work so i left my food by my doir to go get it but the elevator was slow. Took the stairs when i came back up 10 minutes later (this was after housekeeping service times) my food was gone. I called down and they apologized so i guess. Always know they keep thier hallways very tidy.
For UWS these suites are incredibly spacious. Love the kitchenette.
Shower water pressure was a bit strong and the bathtub was very shallow. So no joy there.
Staff was warm and professional at all times.
They offer a car service, which i didnt use but it was one of the reasons i booked.
Location was great for walking for groceries.
Kitchen was adequate, but no oven trays or a colander for draining pasta. Although i did not ask them if i could borrow one either.
And no spatula for cooking in the frying pan? Hmm.
View was subpar but thats because i ended up on a lower floor. The windows in the room Do open actually, which surprised me and they are typical picture size and very clean.
Overall i would go back i would just get one of the higher floor suites and ask for more things i need.
The restaurant adjacent Viandi was excellent for "comfort" new york style food. Highly recommend that.
They offer room delivery to hotel guests.

Our room had a beautiful color scheme and an amazing view of the city from the top floor. Staff was very nice and super helpful.

I liked the location and the convenience of coming in and out of the hotel. The staff was friendly and responsive. The amenities particularly the bathroom was too small and needs updates and improvements.
5.0
Solid 1 bedroom (fro NYC), reasonably priced, clean, all amenities in good functioning order, Nic eBroadway view, close to everything in UWS
5.0
Even better than I expected. The neighborhood is perfect, which I knew, but I expected the room to be small amenities to be few, like most New York hotels. In fact, my room was large, the staff was extremely helpful, and the whole experience was even better than I imagined.

Its New York, so alot of construction and some trashy areas once you leave hotel area

The hotel’s in a nice location and the top floor has great views.
However, it needs a thorough revamp as the walls and bathrooms are visibly outdated.
It can also get very noisy as you can hear people from other rooms and this time around they were doing works all over the hotel from 9 AM.

Reception staff was great.

The staff is extremely helpful and polite. The rooms were very clean and the area is very close to the subway. It’s a very short walk to Central Park West.

Asked about late checkout as I was looking to checkout just 2 hours past posted checkout due to some flight issues. They had me pay for an entire extra night.

The room was huge, much larger than I had expected. It turned out to be a suite! Much to our surprise! We only spent 1 night there, but would have loved to have stayed longer. We went to a great market across the street and got stuff for dinner and breakfast. The market was amazing. Had a great deli and bakery items. Would highly recommend the Hotel Beacon!

Very clean- even the windows from my room which overlooked Manhattan were sparkling. The location featured many memorable eateries. Took the subway & buses with ease.
The staff did a great job doing their work

This hotel was wonderful! Great staff!

Some front desk staffers are really great but some are really bad (short, not helpful, clearly don't enjoy their job). Rooms need a little updating. Hotel in great location though. Lots of restaurants and close to Central Park.

After 25 hours flying, we arrived at 8.30am and asked to leave our bags until check in. The friendly and understanding staff gave us early check in so we were able to have a shower before walking off the jet lag.
Rest of our stay was also excellent. All staff were friendly and helpful.
Room has excellent amenities, and the bed was very comfortable.
Hotel location is perfect for subway access or walking to Central Park or the Hudson.
Will definitely nstau there again.

The suite that we ended up in was lovely and spacious. House keeping were amazing. However, first of all we were next to the lift which was really noisy but fortunately we were given a free upgrade. Kitchen was a bonus. It was also near subway station.

Great hotel..old world with a nice shine. Staff was great, room was very nice with a kitchenette. There was washing machines vending machines, gym and umbrellas to borrows in case of a down pour. Great grocery store and restaurant just across the street and Starbucks next door. The 72nd subway station was a few blocks down or you can catch a taxi in front of building...or bus 1/2 block away...Central Park and the MET were nearby..plenty of restaurants. Did I say the service was great too! ❤️

We just wrapped up a 10-day stay at Hotel Beacon in New York City, and it was the perfect spot for our family. Traveling with two small kids can be tricky, but this hotel made it much easier. The kitchenette in our room was an absolute lifesaver—having a place to whip up quick meals or snacks for the little ones was such a relief. It’s not something you find in every NYC hotel, so it really set this place apart for us.
The location on the Upper West Side is fantastic. We were just a short walk away from the subway, which made getting around the city super convenient. Central Park is also close by, which meant plenty of green space for the kids to run around. Plus, there are tons of great local spots for coffee, groceries, and dining, so we always had options.
The staff at Hotel Beacon were genuinely friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed and were great with our kids, which made the stay even more comfortable. We felt welcomed from the moment we checked in until the moment we left.
Overall, Hotel Beacon gave us a great base to explore NYC, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend it, especially for families!

Outstanding, professional courteous staff. The location is extremely convenient with the theatre next door with notable artists, dining, shopping and a nearby subway stop.

I loved the location. Hotel was clean and spacious. I loved the kitchenette aspect. Staff was super nice and helpful. Only complaint was the wifi wasn’t great. Only reason it wasn't a 5 star. Will definitely stay again

Overall a lovely historical hotel. Friendly staff at, great location! Disappointed upon arrival to find out Beacon Bar closed since Covid, and the restaurant is closed for renovations. Would have booked elsewhere, had I known this. Only other flaw, only one bar soap when arrived for shower or sink. Thought maybe next morning we would receive second bar along with shampoo & conditioner bottles weren’t replenished on day 2.

The hotel staff was friendly from the moment we arrived until we left, from the man at the door to the one who took our bags to our room to the housekeeping staff cleaning the room. Everyone was lovely.
The room was clean and much bigger than I expected in New York. The view from our room was amazing. We walked a lot; it was an excellent spot to walk to Central Park and Times Square….
We will use this hotel again when we’re in New York.

The TV was with totally faded picture. Need new one. Bed was extremely uncomfortably hard with lumps. No toilet roll holder or fan in bathroom.
