5 star for veg food request
5 star for kids entertainment every day
5 star for swimming pool and gym quality
3 start for room quality .. we found ANTs - hormiga every where they can’t stop even we spray killer . Management need to short out .
4.2
Lovely hotel, quiet, chilled out, plenty of sun beds, decent food, good drinks options, good facilities.
A bit out of town, but that worked for us.
4.2
The hotel was on a quiet road and as the bar and entertainment areas were away from guest accommodation we were not disturbed at night. all amenities on site were good. The service from reception was good with any issues (safe door not opening, patio door handle broken) resolved quickly. Housekeeping and bar staff were exceptionally efficient and friendly . The dining experience was abysmal and the quality of food, especially hot food at dinner and breakfast was not acceptable for a 4 star hotel.
4.2
Excellent staff. Stay spoiled by WiFi. Many hours spent waiting for the WiFi to wake up
4.2
Staff is super friendly, dinner and breakfast are nice. However, the room was hot, and the AC didn’t work, they send someone to check but just looking at it and changing the air direction wasn’t going to help. As it was ground floor, sleeping with the window open wasn’t an option either so was very uncomfortable at night because it was so warm in the room. Also the internet didn’t work, once in a while I was able to connect but that was it. You would expect better in 2023…
4.2
Spotless hotel with stunning views. Was given an upgrade to seaview room. Very reasonable prices in the bar,and nice food
4.2
Lovely week with children and grandchildren. Entertainment was good and the pool lovely although very cold. Nice walk to the marina rubicon. Papagaya beach close enough to walk to
4.2
Very good reception staff.
Food good.
Wifi was not good.

We stayed at the Mirador before Covid, we enjoyed it so decided it would be a safe bet to stay again. We like to walk so its handy for getting out to the beaches at Papagayo and theres a complex nearby which has shops and cafes. Getting a taxi into town is easy and cheap. We arrived much later than planned but the receptionist checked us in efficiently and with good humour.
However, the wifi is poor, I had to tether off my phone; one receptionist I found to be quite surly and not at all a pleasant person to deal with and I saw her dealing with other guests in the same manner.

Lovely room - very well designed, lots of wardrobe space. Great views. Lovely comfortable reception and bar area. Staff great.
4.2
Nice area and the views were beautiful. Some staff was nice didn’t like the food atall

We had originally planned to stay at this hotel for seven nights. If you like quiet then this could be the place for you although to be honest the place was lifeless ! The bar area lacked atmosphere. They have chosen black tiles for the swimming pool which actually makes the water look dirty and uninviting. It’s in the middle of a residential area and a 20 minute walk to the marina, a 30 minute walk to Playa Dorada beach and 40 minutes to Playa Blanca town. The food was OK but lacked variety and not what you would expect from a 4* hotel. Most guests and staff looked like they didn’t want to be there. The plus side were the rooms which were spacious, clean and tidy and our room had an amazing sea view. The beds are really comfortable. However the bath towels were anything but and were extremely small and flimsy. After one night’s stay we voted with our feet and left. With a bit of TLC and a different approach this place could be really good
4.2
I have stayed here on several occasions because of its proximity to good beaches. The hotel facilities are good and several eateries are only minutes away if you don't want to spend every evening on site. Easy shuttle (Hoppa) to/from the airport if you are not a package holiday guest.
4.2
Very nice hotel with very friendly staff. Life guard was exceptional he missed nothing and was always at hand to help the guests. The only negative I would have and it’s not a bad one is that they could do with having something a little less fancy for the plainer eaters among us, maybe some plain grilled chicken or fish. Overall our stay was amazing and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
4.2
The view from the room was amazing, very good room service, lovely room and bathroom, gardens and pool very well presented, excellent food in the restaurant and the staff worked incredibly hard at presenting a superb evening for New Year’s Eve, we couldn’t fault the hotel and staff 😃
4.2
Very comfortable room with excellent bathroom and room facilities. Stunning sea views. Not the friendliest staff in the dining room or reception. Good value for money!
4.2
Generally a good hotel with excellent location and views. Only one person doing check in lead to 20 minutes wait. Inflexible about swooping a dinner for a lunch. No sachets of cafinated coffee in whole hotel but after 2 days of empty promises they found this. No half bottles if wine in restaurant useless for solo travelers. Life guard rude. Had to forward hotels.com email before they would check me in. I pulled mask down for face recognition on phone and was shouted at. So generally rude unhelpful staff.
4.2
Hotel is in a great location, sea view rooms really good value, all staff friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble, food very good, all inclusive good value, taxi less than 5euros into harbour and town or a 30 minutes stroll along the front. Looking forward to going back soon.
4.2
Great food choice. Modern rooms and friendly staff

This is an extremely well run hotel. We stayed in a garden apartment and it’s our 4th time here. We have taken January Holidays in the Canaries for nearly 40 years. Have stayed in many places, cheaper and much more expensive. But this hotel balances everything out. Good rooms, well kept pool areas, varied food at dinner and breakfast. Bar tariffs sensible and the staff are all brilliant. We used the spa and had massages. Prices are a little less than the uk. But first class service. Some winge about charging for the use of the spa facilities. But if they did not it would be unbearable As it’s a large hotel
In summary, this hotel is better than most in Playa Blanca. It’s 15 mins walk from the Rubicon Marina across a Devine paved cliff top walk. Plenty of taxis back if out really late
Will be back again

We had a lovely room with a stunning sea view, bed was comfortable and room clean. Shower over bath had a waterfall head and hand held shower, and pressure was really good. Staff were really friendly and helpful. For an all inclusive stay we thought the food was excellent and much improved from our previous stay. Evening entertainment was a mixed bag and varied from the OK to the brilliant Il Divo tribute act. My only criticism with the entertainment is that we would have liked more of an opportunity to have a dance. The hotel had two pools the main one being a really good size with whirlpools and childrens area, there were plenty of sun loungers. For those that like to sun bathe au natural there is a roof terrace for this. We also took some Yoga and stretching classes. Anna was really good and seemed to be able to pitch the intensity to match the class ability extremely well, in fact we enjoyed it so much we joined a gym on our return. The location was about half hour walk to the town along the coastal promenade , but shuttle buses were provided if you didnt want to walk. The beautiful Papagayo beaches were also about a 30 to 40 minute walk away., and are highly recommended. Though we didnt particularly warm to the town of Playa Blanca we had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Mirador Papagayo and we will probably visit again to get our dose of winter sun.

Great view from the room, hotel was spotless we would highly recommend.
4.2
Friendliness of staff, nice room when we paid extra for a sea view.
Side sea view (lateral) was a view of the carpark and we requested to be moved.
Poor description of the view.
4.2
The double room has a nice terrace area. The buffet is self serve including drinks. The food and selection is average. Only decaffeinated coffee in the room. The cocktails were nice! The coffee is also much nicer from the pool bar than restaurant and lobby bar.The cleaning of our room was just basic but it didnt feel dirty.Entertainment staff and pool bar staff were friendly.
4.2
This is a fabulous hotel ! Rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable.. locating is perfect and above all the staff are amazing! We have stayed here 7 times and will definitely be returning!
4.2
Excellent facilities. Staff very helpful.
A little more variety at dinner would help.
4.2
Good hotel Would stay again

Excellent hotel, good location and friendly staff throughout.

Great hotel, nice atmosphere, clean modern room and friendly staff.
4.2
Very good hotel, we went there two years ago. The staff are still pro, friendly and nice, the view from the rooms, facilities etc are very good. However since our last visit, the quality of the food has gone down unfortunately, especially when it comes to the meat section we did see the difference.
4.2
we only stayed 2 nights wish it had been longer room was great with 2tvs longe seating area large walk in closet bed was very comfortable .food was great there was so much to chose from and you could have as much as you liked .would recommend and will go again
4.2
Very good hotel except it had no air conditioning. I was hot several times
4.2
Lovely hotel with exceptionally friendly staff. Was in a superior room which has been recently refurbished. Could not comment on the entertainment as we did not use it, but it was not intrusive either.
4.2
We had a fabulous relaxing holiday at the mirador my husband had been quite ill but this holiday was better than any pills the doctor s gave him the staff are so helpful the food is wonderful what’s not to like!

Very good hotel, good food and great staff

A lovely hotel. We paid for a Junior Suite with a sea view and were on the ground floor with a terrace. We had a living room area with sofa and tv as well as a bedroom, bathroom and a walk in closet so we didn't have to live out of our suitcase for a change. The hotel is very clean and all the staff work are friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily and are spotless. It was my birthday whilst we were there and they sent a bottle of sparkling fizz and two glasses to our room that afternoon. Our favourite place in the hotel was the lobby bar, and not just because that is where the free wifi is! At any time of day it is a lovely place to sit and drink (bar opens at 12pm), overlooking the pool and with a view of the sea. We would have a couple of glasses of cava there before going down to dinner and go back afterwards for coffee and amaretto.
We were all inclusive and our favourite meal was breakfast, with white and pink fizz available everyday. There is entertainment every night but we only went once as it takes place in a hot dingy dark room which had children constantly running about, as the kids disco is held there prior to the main entertainment.

My friend and I had a really nice week staying at the Mirador Papagayo. We had a warm arrival and were told our room had been upgraded to a suite and also had a sea view. The room was nice, and although we had some cockroach issues on the first night, these were quickly sorted out by hotel staff, and we didn't have any other problems for the rest of the week. Beds made, new towels and room cleaned daily. Good selection of food and drink available in the buffets. Good range of entertainment available, even if it didn't seem to be running every day. There is also a small gym on the ground floor, and a wellness suite, which offered things such as massages. This was supposed to be open every day, but wasn't, though perhaps because we visited in late November/ early December. The free shuttle bus to Playa Dorada near Playa Blanca centre was useful, but equally it was a nice walk from the hotel (20 minutes to Marina Rubicon, where we went most days for lunch) or 40-45 to Playa Blanca. The hotel was generally well kept, with a few things that didn't seem to be working e.g. bubble jets in the pool, but things do break from time to time. A nice relaxing holiday away was what we had and needed.
4.2
The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more friendlier or helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. The position of the hotel suited us perfectly, directly on the promenade & only a 10 minute walk to the marina. The hotel food was plentiful & varied & even though we only booked half board we found this sufficient. The hotel was very quiet at night enabling us to sleep undisturbed.
4.2
I enjoyed my stay except there was not enough vegetarian food choices.

Booked at fairly short notice, usually have a hotel nearer the centre of Playa Blanca but the price allowed us to also have a hire car for no additional cost. Hotel has recently become part of the THB group, it was clean & tidy although there were a few areas which could be upgraded, we booked a partial sea view room but none were available when we checked in so instead they gave us a family apartment in a complex just across the road which is joined to the main hotel by a tunnel, it has a separate swimming pool which was a real sun trap. The food was just excellent, we had half board, breakfast had loads of breads, fruit, cereals, yougurts, cold meats & cheeses in the cold sections & on the hot, with fresh cooked eggs you could have a full English & eat as much as you could eat, just the bacon was a little under par (don't know how they cut it that thin, dinner, well there's not enough room to tell you what there was, fresh salads, soup, loads of fish, 3 or 4 meat dishes, plenty of veg (normally 2 different potatoes, chips only appeared twice) something to please everyone, excellent desserts with ice cream available every day, fresh fruit & plenty of cheese. We had a really great time, will definitely check the rates next year when we go back next.
