The first was like a closet and the fridge kept leaking the first three nites. It ruined our clothes. The customer service was great. The restaurant breakfast was average. Jennifer, Christopher, Jholey, and Antonio were very welcoming. 10/10. The pools and rooftop and bar were also wonderful.

I like the fact that access is controlled and people can't randomly walk in off of the street

Our first bedroom was moldy and dirty. The bathroom was very small and smell moldy, the shower was clogged, the small fridge was not working and the room looked dirty. They moved us to another room which was in better condition, but the bed was uncomfortable and made a lot of noise, they did not provide us with a cover at first. The safe did not work. The room was by the street and we could hear every car going by. The water in the shower went from hot to cold and it was difficult to keep it at a warm temperature. The breakfast was good and the server at the breakfast was very polite. The desk attendant that was there in the evenings was kind of rude and looked annoyed when we asked to change rooms and when we moved to the other room, we asked for a blanket and a pillow, and he looked annoyed. The day desk lady was very polite and so was the overnight desk gentleman when we checked out.

I love older hotels so I quite enjoyed this little gem. It is a little rundown. But it is being updated. Our junior suite was comfortable. I loved that the host/receptionist walked us up to our room. The hotel is quite cozy. We enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant and it was enjoyable. Very tasty. Outside there is tons going on. And right near Malécon. The only downside was not flushing toilet paper down the toilet. I imagine because the plumbing is older. But I will definitely stay again.

The worst hotel in the Dominican Republic it was unsafe it was unclean. They double charged me. They refused to assist the plumbing. The few was of a barking dog and a woman hanging clothes. It was unsafe no hot water televisions dysfunction and when I asked for just a safe room, they made me pay extra.

Upon arrival, the lobby of the hotel was nice which made us think we had chosen the right hotel for our stay. However, once we were shown our room, we had to change immediately due to drain flies everywhere in the room. The young man at the front desk accommodated this switch to what was hopefully a better room however the issue of the drain flies was still present as well as roaches, drain worms, and centipedes. Not only were we plagued with insects but we were not given soap replacements after the first night (luckily there was a supermarket close by for us to purchase things that were lacking from the hotel) and had to continuously ask for towels. PS. The customer service received from the 3 males at the front desk was exceptional. They were always more than willing to assist. The bathroom sink didn't work properly and only the hot water side worked which made it nearly impossible to use. The bathroom overall definitely NEEDS an upgrade. We are grateful to the three young men at the front desk who helped to make our stay tolerable.

The worst stay I have ever had. They took advantage of my partner and refused to let them leave unless they paid 70.00 for a small stain on sheets that they cleaned. Had to ask for towels not once but 5 times. Building was not accessible and there was nothing like a “beach view”. All you saw were concrete buildings. Definitely do not go here if you are black, queer and/or femme. Should be closed down like yesterday.

Alex was very helpful when I needed to change rooms. He went above and beyond for me. The staff at both RIG properties are amazing. The cleaning staff and the breakfast staff were also very helpful. I believe the name of the young lady running the rooftop bar is Jennifer. She made my stay a pleasure as well.

The staff here is excellent. Joseph went above and beyond for me. This is a small hotel near the malecon and a park where locals gather. This is not some high end removed hotel. Local neighborhood, authentic experience and solid value. The staff make this place a gem. Thank you!

This is a "no frills" cute and quaint hotel very close to the Malecon, restaurants, casino, shops, etc. The rooms and bathrooms are a little dated and there appeared to be a little mold on the shower head and soap dish. My biggest issue was the shower temperature had little to no control; water was either cold, or literally boiling hot with no in between; but we made it work. Although the room was a little tight for two, it was good enough for a one or two night stay. Fridge in room is a plus. The hotel staff was very friendly, curtious, and professional. The hotel does offer a nice and complete local cuisine hot breakfast, which is an add on.
