Really nice hotel staff friendly beds comfortable

Walls are too thin, bathroom size too tiny, couldn’t get anyone to clean the room while I was out, service was poor

Damp everywhere , loud , noisy , staff members extremely rude and sarcastic , I got told to wash their cutlery in the sink of the hotel room instead of bringing cutlery down to be cleaned by them (as it’s their job to do so) , lamp didn’t work , WiFi never once worked , I wasn’t allowed to bring anyone in my room apart from me and my partner even to go grab something from my room , my partner got told he wasn’t allowed any towels by the manager , there’s nobody at reception to help from 11pm till 12pm which I don’t find quite appropriate being there’s a hotel full of guests that might need customer service through the night , water didn’t work in a room so I asked to move rooms and got spoken to rudely because of that issue , the water regardless of what room takes 30 minutes to an hour to get warm

Very shabby & tired hotel

The only problem was the difficulty in drawing the curtains both mornings

Great location good room size, friendly staff

Bathroom very small, leek on toilet.
Room was adequate for our purpose.
Fridge and microwave very useful.

Check in, staff, etc was all fine/average, room well equipt with a kettle and chair, everything was fine for a weekend away except the bed, it was so thin, so full of springs, with an additional ridge across the centre where the bedbase pieces met, I hardly slept the first night.

Thank you for good stay

The hotel was nothing like the photos. It is boarded up at the front and overgrown.
The room had dirty bedsheets and was very unclean. It was incredibly hot and smelt of smoke. It felt rather unsafe. We found bloody tissues left on the stair.
Would not recommend anyone staying here. We left after 1 night and it was not cheap.

It was all in all a good experience I would say.
Bath door was broken and while having a shower the water tends to spray outside. Other than that it was a pleasant experience.

Sadly the outside area let the place down. Time and a little money spent on this would make a huge difference, especially when you first arrive.
Sweeping up, and planting out some tubs would vastly improve ‘kerb appeal’
As for the interior, little chips off door frames, and marks on walls could do with attention.
Carpets generally could do with a bit of a clean.
However the warm welcome we received, and efforts to accommodate our group was excellent!
Thank you.

I Enjoyed my weekend stay the room was nice and the receptionist was friendly. The only thing that was a complete let down was the WIFI it was completely useless and didn't work.

Didn’t stay.
I had booked this for my daughter and a friend to stay as they were going to a concert at the AO Arena, and the Hotels.com site said it was only a. 13 minute drive from this hotel. After calling Uber and various other taxi firms, it turned out it was a 37 minute drive. So we had to arrange some accommodation nearer. I called the hotel for a refund as it was false information they were providing. Only to be told that it was a non-refundable booking.

Brief check in, room was perfect

WiFi doesn’t work, facilities nonexistent, room and hotel are in a terrible condition and desperately need some TLC

Soon as you walk in it smells through yhe corridors. First room i was given stank of drugs, stained carpet, uneven floor in the bathroom, wall and ceiling coming away and to top it off... blood stains on the radiator.
They refused to refund me but did move me into a different room on the ground floor and this was clean and fine. However the radiator was broken on full and the door didnt lock or close properly, so had to prop a chair against it.
Avoid this place at all costs.

The staff when they were actually there seemed disorganised. The hotel itself was generally unclean and unwelcoming. One room had damp, another had a hole in a door. In the morning the room cards stopped working, staff aren't on reception 'til three. They have two numbers on the reception to assist in the absence of staff, both numbers went straight to voicemail.

Woman shouting all through the night

Photos need to be updated for this hotel. It’s a bit rougher than shown. Decided not to stay & after check-in gave my key to a homeless guy.

This might be the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in… the toilet was on a slant so it felt like using it in a hill. The shower had mould in and leaked. Plug sockets didn’t work. Bed was just lying on springs. Guy came knocking the door at 10:30am complaining that we needed to check despite the booking saying 11:30? Guy was rude. Definitely wouldn’t stay again and would avoid

I was disappointed by the stay, I felt it was dirty and needed more care. The check in was not experience and the area was poorly manned if you wanted to be early too.
The room was mediocre for the price with not enough towels.

Terrible experience, reception empty about 8pm, I was shouting for someone to check in, after long time a guy came and he told me I should call in a phone, but I did ring , but unresponsive. Bad room, door’s not locked ( unsafe ), bad condition’s toilet, broken mirror, old matress ( my back suffered a lot!) . Don’t reserve, I ‘ve paid almost £100.00 per night for this dirty, unsafe and horrible room!

Car park not that big so arrive early… reception rarely has staff there and they don’t answer the phone when you ring for them. When the staff do arrive it’s like going to Karen’s diner…
Rooms are dirty, warm and smelly, curtains were filthy and crispy they were that dirty. Window did open as the lock was broken tho! Hairdryer in every room is a lie… you have to go and ask for one then wait your turn as they have a couple that they hand out…mine never arrived despite requesting it. Don’t be fooled by the midday check out it’s 1030 and they are banging on your door at 1031 (only time you will see staff!) 12 of us stayed but only one key per room so if your sharing come back together or one will get locked out and will have to sleep outside as there are no staff around to let you in… you may get lucky and another guest will let you in but if your like one of our party whose room has someone dead to the world in it you will find yourself sleeping in the corridor. You will leave the bathroom dirtier than you entered it and good luck going to the loo… For a half decent nights sleep get super drunk which still may not do the trick.

I spent 2 nights at the Trivelles Mayfair as I was in the area for work. When I first entered the room it had an odd smell and was very warm. The wardrobe was situated in the most awkward place but that wasn’t the worst thing.
On my last night I noticed a small clear packet that had been shoved down the chair in the corner of the room. I looked closer and saw it was a clear packet which contained a white powder.
It takes a lot for me to complain and I looked past the other unclean aspects of the room. However, I honestly find this disgusting, unprofessional and inexcusable. Clearly the housekeeping is not at all thorough. And I am just glad I was travelling alone and not with family including younger members!
After seeing this I could not wait to leave and was contemplating sleeping in my car. After seeing everything I felt like I didn’t want to walk on the floor even in socks let alone barefoot after a shower. The shower was either freezing or red hot. There was also no hairdryer in the room/bathroom which was stated there was.
I did have another 3 nights booked for the following week however I have cancelled this stay due to feeling unsafe and from what I have seen of the room and the rest of the hotel very unhygienic!
Wish I had read the reviews!

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was good with a great shower. Overallbthe room was clean, but a couple of surfaces had been missed. The bed was very comfortable. The staff member on check-in was very friendly. The location was perfect for getting to Manchester and Stockport by bus, train or car.

When first hot the property we where really confussed about it as the images that where advertise where not what we go. The hotel was boarded up on many of the wondows when we got in the car park we sat a conservatory with whitened out windows and disgusting dirty mattress up against them. Now i had booked 2 room a twin fir 2 night and single room for one as myself and my friends where attending a very special event. When got reception the young was quite rude and very stand offish. When walking to the hall way the smell was so pungent mould smoke and not plesant when got to room wesaw stains the sheet as we pulled back i nearly died the was not mattress protector they was pubic hair urine stains blood stains and some questionable white dried stains. I went to reception as if they had a clean room so he show us to another room admittedly slightly cleaner. Damp on the cleaning carpet was matted and matress covered in stains couldnt walk around barefoot our foot ware stuck to the carpet. The next curtain witch i amsume should be white was dirty brown and stunk the first night i was biten all up my legs as was my froend in the other room fliwing morning went to make a coffee and i got an electric ahock from the kettle then the extension wire in the wall sparked we trued to tell some one bit they where not interested if i could have booked another hotel i would of disgust there are some many more faults with it but environmental health should shut it down

My friend cheryl booked this hotel for me what can i say wont be returning wont be recommending avoid at all cost however if you like sleeping on wee stained mattresses and questionable dried white body fluid then this is the hotel for you staff where helpfully if you could find a staff member the hotel run down smelt really bad to the point i went a bought air fresher blankets and pillows for myself and my other friend in the other room budget hotels yes but health hazardous i was biten through the night on my face disnt dare use the shower cable ties holdnthe shower head was concering if we could have got another hotel we would felt gulty leaving the girl who had to attempt it for a second evening.

Check in staff were wonderful, but this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The family room was in a dark, stuffy attic, and I had to carry heavy luggage up and down the stairs, as there's no lift. My card didnt work, and as reception isn’t staffed until 11am, I had to sit for ages waiting for someone to fix my card. The contact phone numbers left on the wall got no reply.
Beds were not made or changed in the entire stay (3 days)
The area is pretty grim with nowhere to eat or shop for food, other than a petrol station and takeaway about half a mile walk away.

I arrived at the property on the Monday evening and was left waiting outside for a good 10mins, as there was no-one on reception to open the doors, which you had to ring a bell for to gain access.
The room that I was given was up in the eaves, with only one skylight window. The blackout blind on it was tatty to say the least. The carpet in the room was so old and dirty that I didn’t want to walk on it, even in socks.
The bedding, although clean, had several hairs on the pillowcases, likely from the housekeeper.
The en-suite floor was in a state of disrepair and again, I didn’t want to walk on it in bare feet. The shower head was full of limescale and the shower heat control was awful. It was either scalding hot or too cold. Any slight movement on the control handle would send the water temperature to the extreme in either direction.
Apart from that, the bed itself was comfortable and the tiling in the bathroom was at least clean and tidy.
All in all, the whole property inside and out, is in a state of disrepair and in need of investment to bring it up to a habitable standard imo.

Absolutely filthy throughout and very run down. Not as photos.

Big TV with freeview was excellent. The microwave, fridge and a kettle all very useful. The bed needed a new mattress, I could feel every spring. So overall disappointing. If it had had a comfortable bed it would have been good value.

Customer care Zero especially for those arriving after11pm
We had no choice but to book it a second time just to give them a second chance. During our previous stay the communial staircarpet smell terrible. Smoking was being done in the bedrooms and no wifi even though advertised. We all had to congugate in the very small entrance lobby inorder to get wifi.
