Run down, unhelpful staff. Out dated, staff was completely unhelpful
4.2
Great service, couldn't be more helpful.
4.2
Room is mediocre.windows are dirty , dresser drawers broken. Rundown. No AC
4.2
Lovely staff, well located. No parking and very creaky at night due to the wood construction.
4.2
Great location, staff is very friendly and helpful
4.2
Very close to shops and restaurants. The hotel has their own restaurant. Street parking with fee but cheaper than others.
4.2
This place is fine for a night in a pinch but if possible I would recommend staying elsewhere. Staff is nice, but hotel and rooms need some TLC. A little expensive in my opinion for the condition of the rooms.
4.2
Great hotel, very central.
4.2
Brilliant view from our room. Lovely friendly staff.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, we didn’t do the breakfast as we thought it was a bit pricey. The bathroom was very clean and had lovely toiletries provided. I would definitely stay here again.
4.2
The location of this hotel was ideal-- right in the middle of Donegal town, near shops, pubs and restaurants. There were two things that made me not give the place a higher rating. The first is that we had an actual key for our room, which was a little weird, more of an inconvenience as our older kids like to do things on their own, but someone would need to wait for them, so they could get into the room (also no keycard meant that anyone could get on the elevator). The other thing was the noise from outside at night. The pro of being in the city center is that you have opportunities to get out and enjoy the town easily; the con is that, when you have thin windows, you get to hear everyone else have a good time late into the night. We did not sleep well here.

Our had a beautiful view of the river..central location and lovely staff
4.2
The decor was very dated.. Food was good
4.2
The hotel had music that night however, we went to bed prior to it starting and never heard a thing. The staff were very professional and friendly. The room was clean.
On the down side there is no allocated parking so we had to park on the street. The windows in the room didn’t open (probably due to safety issues) and it was quite stuffy throughout our stay. There weren’t any coffee making and ironing facilities in the room.
4.2
Selected this hotel as we wanted to stay in Donegal for the night. The hotel was centrally located. Parking was a short walk. Rooms look like they’d been somewhat recently renovated although maybe a little TLC would have improved things. Mattresses weren’t the greatest, no pictures on the walls which may seem like an odd thing to point out but it made the room a bit sterile. Room was pretty basic but served its purpose. Staff were very nice.

Great location, great customer service.

Everything was great except this old house type structure did not have air conditioning. It was not hot but I sleep hot. They provided a fan and everything went perfect. The staff is wonderful the room was clean and inviting
4.2
Room and common areas are dated and in need of renovation. Good amount of space and comfortable bedding.

This hotel is a beautiful quaint hotel in a beautiful
area, located close to restaurants, pubs and attractions.
I would hightly recommend.

The Central hotel is a great friendly lively hotel. Music in bar is great and as we had grandchild with us the pool is the best addition. Donegal town is a buzzing town and would b great for everyone to enjoy and this hotel is right in the heart of it.
4.2
Great location. Great staff. Just a note as I travelled with my 80yr old mom, she had problems with stairs but as a very old building with additions I thought it was great. And right on the river.
4.2
Convenient. Nice pool and hot tub.
4.2
The room was nice, though a bit on the small side. Our view was great, but I don’t know how many rooms have that view. There is a bar and a restaurant, and the breakfast is a buffet with a lot of good choices. The location is great, in the heart of Donegal town. It does not have some amenities that are common with American hotels, such as a pool or a workout room. But it does have a vending machine with snacks, soft drinks, and water, so that was nice.
What it out for me was the service. We mentioned by email that it was our anniversary, and they set us up with a view of Donnie Gay, and a chocolate plate with happy anniversary written on it. And then after Aaron Lingus Starr bags they were very helpful, in terms of helping us figure out where to shop for necessities as well as doing things like drying our clothes free overnight after we washed them in the sink. The night Porter even walked me around outside at 6 a.m. to show me various shops where we might be able to pick some things up. There was only so much they could do before we got our bags, but they did what they could and we appreciated it.

Stayed at this hotel lots of times over the past few years and was happy to return. Martin went out of his way to get us a suitable family suite which was brilliant. Was great having the pool to use on a wet day. The hotel room was lovely and warm and the dining rooms were comfortable and inviting. Staff were really accommodating and dealt with any queries efficiently and to our satisfaction. The hotel is in a busy small town and close to Fintra Bay and Slieve League cliffs which are spectacular. Would highly recommend a break at the Central Hotel for its homeliness and its locality.
4.2
Very disappointing hotel. The main lift was out of order! The room was cold but they did send a heater up! The walls near the kettle was splattered with tea or coffee. In need of an uplift!

Best: Room in the back with stunning view of the river and harbor.
Ok: stall helpful.
So so: corridors and room smell cheap disinfectant. Flush toilet is old and leaky.
No parking or simply zone to unload suitcases.

Staff was extremely helpful. We found our room was street side & then moved us to non street side room to avoid traffic noise. Breakfast was excellent.
