We didn't get the room we booked. The room was significantly smaller and not at all like the one in the picture shown in our reservation. When we communicated this to the staff, they told us they could do nothing about it.

The room we booked was described as “Deluxe Double Room, Balcony” the room we were given was in the attic with no windows, except in the bathroom. The door of the room had frosted glass and led onto a communal external corridor, which was used by smokers (see photo).
We went back to reception to ask to be moved and were told that was the room we had been allocated, and the hotel was fully booked. However we had arrived as check in opened and there were many other keys on the counter for people who had yet to check in. We again asked to be moved but the receptionist said she could not and started checking in other guests as they arrived. We asked that she stop and deal with our issue, so she said she would call her manager. After a long time the manager arrived but instead of resolving the issue she berated us for using Hotels.com. She said she gets less money than when people use it. She said she didn’t have a contract with them and began listing other booking sites with which she did have a contract including Expedia. I explained that Hotels.com was owned by Expedia and she became very irate and said it wasn’t true. She then said she would phone Expedia and there then ensued a lengthy call in rapid Italian which we couldn’t understand. We gave up, asked the original receptionist for our key and went to the attic. The whole process wasted about an hour. It appears that the manager does not like people using Hotels.com and so allocates them the worst room.

Overall nice room and localization.
Please assume you have NO breakfast. You are "allowed" to take some options in the coffee shop next to the lobby but you have to deal with the most rude personnel I have ever met in year travelling around the world! Skip from headache, buy something nearby and don't deal with this type of situation!!

The management and staff at this property went way beyond what could be expected when I was having difficulties concerning a rental car.

over all the hotel is a good choice as its located nearby the old centre.
Environment is fine, staff as well. Breakfast is in the bar which belongs to the hotel. Coffee, Tramenzini, Pannini, Cornetti are really good.
But tried the emergency number of the hotel as the hotel reception is closed in the afternoon. The lady, who owns this number should get an english lesson….

Nice room but breakfast an absolute disaster. Served in a busy cafe, took forever to get served and waiter completely disinterested

The location of the property is great. Close to all major attraction, street parking is available. Great dinning options near by. Rooms are very big and have everything you might need. The check in process was a bit confusing as there is no one to help you after 11 am on daily basis.

The service was wonderful. Check-in was very easy and contactless. The staff were extraordinarily friendly. Breakfast was included as well. The building was fairly historic, had very medieval vibes, which wasn’t our favorite, but great for someone looking for gothic-type room decor. The rooms were very large and the air conditioning works great!

Easy walking distance to old town.
Lovely appointmented rooms with beautiful bathroom, linens, towels & amenities.

Rooms are nice and with a really good location. The fact that they claim to have free parking is a lie, so add on 15-20 euro per day for that. Would probably have gone for something else if I had known when booking what I know know, even if the room was clean and location good.

Great location a short walk from the old town (but far enough away to find parking!). The room was lovely - clean, comfortable and historical charm. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great.

Please read very carefully and DO NOT BOOK this place!!!The place is described as boutique hotel and is not, they charge as a hotel and don’t give the service as a hotel. No air conditioning in the building and in the room because they are trying to save on electricity bill, it was 93 degrees outside every day ,no cleaning room service and place is very dirty, malfunctional bathroom, no towels replacement, no sheets replacement, we had to ask for toilette paper everyday!!!the sheets had bugs, no parking outside took us 1 hour everyday to find a spot, staff completely unprofessional we talked to them multiple times about this issue and they said they would refund us the money and they didn’t.The cleaning crew told me that they had to go home and couldn’t wait for me to leave the room everyday morning, are you kidding? I never Ever experienced this and I travel all over the world ,there are so many other better hotels in Alghero for sure do not stay here!!! This is not s hotel,is a very low end cheap aire&b and they charge as a high end hotel!!

Great location few minutes walk to old town and bus stops. Bed was too firm for me, rooms corridors echo due to stone floors. Otherwise lovely staff and pleasant breakfast.

Service was really lovely and room was very clean and had a great balcony. However, lights in the room are set to a timer so had no light from 11pm onwards. Breakfast was a few croissants and slices of bread - not what we had anticipated for £150gbp per night. Also, check in time of 4pm and check out of 10.30am was not really what we had in mind.

We enjoyed our stay in Maison Bienestar very much. The place was spotlessly clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for more. We have allready planned to be back later this year.

Very accommodating and attentive staff. Beautiful spacious room. Our room was on the street side and got a little noisy during the rush hour but rest of the time pretty quiet. Breakfast was light fare but enough variety to be more than pleasing.Staff was especially friendly and helpful. For us, a great place to start our adventure on Sardinia

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon trip. Unfortunately the hotel did not have functioning wifi (even though they advertise it) -- the network kicks you off after a few minutes. The in-room air conditioning unit leaked water, producing a puddle in the corner of the room. Also, the shower door didnt close all the way, leaking water onto the bathroom floor.

Great location and very clean but room was small, and staff not very welcoming or helpful - the opposite of what you would expect in a 6 room hotel. Link in hotels.com goes to incorrect address, so be sure to double check.

Close to buses. Central to old town. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Meticulously clean. It is beautifully restored with a combination of traditional features and modern decor. Though on a small scale, breakfast was superb, especially the fresh pastries.
Will be even better when lift installation is completed. No phone in room for enquiries to reception. Did not like room keying system.
Great atmosphere- lots of locals have coffee/ breakfast here.

Great location, lovely room. Wi-fi was erratic. Unclear who to talk to or call if there was a problem.

Great location in Alghero (right next to old town, but not far from the beach), and wonderful room--roomy and clean and up-to-date. Our only complaints were that the wi-fi was sometimes erratic and always weak, and that there was no clear understanding of who was in charge or who to contact if there was a problem. A nice woman was sometimes at the hotel desk in the downstairs coffee shop, but if she was not there (and when the coffee shop was closed), there was nobody to turn to. If we had had an emergency, we would not have known what to do.

The staff were very accommodating to our 1030 arrival, when they were closing at 10. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Convenient mini fridge, convenient coast and centre access and a GREAT gelato shop just down the road!
