Fantastic hotel, with excellent service and brilliant, helpful staff.

We loved our stay here at the Lalit. The building itself was beautiful and we loved how they modernised it, but still kept the theming of the original school. We had a senior classroom, and the room was spacious with high ceilings and huge windows. We even had a view of the Shard!
Service was good, and I have absolutely no complaints about our stay. It's a bit of a hidden gem compared to the other London hotels we've stayed in, especially for the price we paid. We will absolutely consider staying here again!

Very spacious well appointed room with comfy bed. Staff amazingly helpful and friendly. The restaurant was superb and we had a lovely time evening meal. Good location short distance from tube and plenty of attractions under 30 mins walk. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Beautiful hotel in good location but was given room with disabled access bathroom for no reason. Was also woken up by furniture being moved around in room upstairs so rooms aren’t soundproofed.

Amazing hotel. Wonderful rooms and the staff are great! Cannot recommend this place enough! It was my husband's birthday and they even provided a cake in the room!

Great location, really handy for a walk on the river by Tower Bridge, stunning views! Friendly staff, large spacious room, will definitely return!

The room we were in had constant noise of a large roof mounted air condition unit.
It sounded like you were in an aircraft.
The constant hum sound kept us awake all night. So left feeling exhausted.
The room itself was very clean and the service was good.
But to be in that room was not a good experience and should be avoided at all cost.

Our five-night stay at the Lalit London met all of our expectations. We chose Lalit as we used to live a few streets over and knew this to be the perfect location - a short walk to London Bridge Station, the Thames and Hays Galleria, Bermondsey Street for restaurants, coffee & art and close to the Ropewalk/Maltby St. Market. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored grammar school, updated in sumptuous Indian decor. Although centrally located, the hotel is very quiet inside. The staff are professional, polite and very helpful. The room is well appointed with all of the needed amenities, including excellent in-room coffee. There are plenty of closet storage space and overhead closet lighting. Everything was spotlessly clean in our bedroom and bathroom. The toiletries were top notch. The only improvement I can think of is better lighting in the bathroom for applying makeup. The spa is definitely worth a visit - the highly trained professional masseuse Mukesh gave the most wonderful body and facial massage I have ever had anywhere! A relaxing and rejuvenating treatment to help with the jet lag. A special thank you to the staff who assisted in posting internationally a left item in my hotel room. I also appreciated the chocolate Anniversary cake awaiting in our room upon arrival. The little touches go a long way. Thank you for a lovely week!

The building is amazing and the staff are helpful and friendly. My wife has dietary requirements and they made her special versions of the Indian breakfast dishes specially. The room was large and comfortable with everything thought of. I will be back.

Nice hotel 6-7min walk from London Bridge station. Found the check in at reception to be a bit disorganised and not handled great when my partner arrived 5min before me
and was not made to feel welcome. Rooms are spacious and tidy. I feel the quality of the bedding was not great. Pillows were poor quality and the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. Should have a mattress topper at minimum.

Lovely spacious room that was very good value for money for a London hotel. Great cocktails and lovely staff.

Fabulous place to stay: wonderful staff, very well equipped and comfortable rooms, central location, and delicious breakfast from a wide selection of continental, traditional English and Indian dishes. One thing though do take your own decaf coffee, for although it is provided in the room it's the cheapest nastiest one! Other coffees, and the teas, are a much higher standard!

Noise from the street was loud. Could do with better soundproofing within rooms. Complimentary drinks / snacks in room are a nice touch

I could only describe my experience as disappointing. This was a trip for my husbands birthday and the staff were just not great. You felt as if everyone was new and didn’t know what to do. The hotel was 1/2 empty but we were given a tiny room in the attic. On the second day we went out and returned to find the room was not made up. On our way back to the room we meet several staff still doing rooms. When we left to go out several hours later all the staff had disappeared.
We raised this with reception and while explaining to the receptionist, who kept asking if I put the do not disturb sign on, a young man appeared, no introduction just launched into a explanation about why my room had not been done. He was rude and aggressive.
The next morning at breakfast someone had an accident and several croissants were knocked into the floor. When we left 45 mins later they were still lying there. Now none of this is dreadful but when you stay in a 5 star hotel you expect a better experience

Outstanding little hotel with amazing attention to detail. Exceptional for the price.

The hotel was nice, but didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. It’s a step above a decent Marriott in Chicago.
The shower was very nice though.

We enjoyed our stay here. All the staff at the reception and breakfast/dining are amazing. Special thanks to all the reception staff. Thank you for the beautiful room on our last night!

Stayed one night. The hotel is in a great location and nicely restored. We stayed on the ground floor in a room just next to a sidewalk. We heard workers and late night revelers passing by. The room was clean and the staff was attentive in a superficial way. Only the staff in the morning listened to my feedback on the room. Nice touches that you would find in a finer hotel. Not worth the money though.

The staff and service at this property was amazing. Gayathri was very helpful and nice. Check-in was seamless. The superior classroom was large and the bathroom was really large. You felt like you are in the Old Taj in Bombay. The food at Baluchi is really good. I recommend having lunch or dinner. The cocktails, mains and esp. the lamb seekh kabab, paneer tikka and chicken tikka appetizer are fresh and delicious.
The only thing I would recommend is an interior and exterior paint job. I would definitely stay at the Lalit London again.

The hotel was a great location for our stay. The tube was a few minutes walk away. The staff were all very helpful. The hotel was very clean and breakfast delicious. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant on this occasion. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again if visiting this area.

Musty smell in our room. Large spacious room with nice bathroom and bidet. Close to Tower Bridge.
