Very clean and well appointed with very helpful hosts….to top it off we had yoga sessions to stretch the weary traveller muscles. Highly recommended

We really loved this place. It was in a really cool building, just up a big stairway from the beach. The people were really nice.

Great spot and central to the beach

The worst place to stay in San Sebastián. You have to share the bathroom with 2 other rooms, no air conditioning, the staff service was crazy bad. They don’t understand the concept of hospitality and excellent service to others. It is just a disaster.

The hotel was unique. Simple. Beautiful terrace with incredible views.

An unforgettable view!! A balcony you would like to live on!! However it is in a rather rundown house shared with local tenants and other “guests” and with interesting practices including direct debit of the full fee before! check in is even possible. No refrigerator in the room and its not allowed to use the “hotel” refrigerator.

The most expensive hostel I have paid for. A room without a private toilet should not be 200 a night. Also there is no lounge area, service staff, or breakfast area. Our room was like someone’s private bedroom. I will say the location to the city is nice and if you have a sea room, the view would be lovely. That was not our case.

You pay for the view which is spectacular. Access to the parking area is via a steep narrow ramp . So if you have a big car or 4x4 be warned . In fairness it does say that in the description. Staff/ owner was lovely and very helpful .

Excellent accommodation for a short break. Beautiful views and access to all areas. Not suitable for those with mobility issues due to steep access.

Really feels like the best view in the bay

Beautiful views/ rooms! Had a lovely stay :)

The view from our balcony was extraordinary—a 10! Carlina was a charming and helpful host who welcomed us graciously and researched food options (more challenging on a Monday) before we knew it would be a challenge. The bed was comfortable and the decor simple and not-so-shabby chic. Lovely!!!!!

Disappointing. No food facility / nothing availability, no kitchen access, no room cleaning, shared bathroom. Booking site gave the impression it was a hotel. Wasn't even a breakfast so not even a B&B room.

I booked a 4 night stay but I did not realize it was for a shared bathroom and towels. Considering the three star rating and price, I did not expect to share a bathroom. It was booked through Hotels.com. and the booking confirmation was in Spanish although I am an English speaker. The booking noted that it was a shared bathroom and towels in the small print under amenities. But I don't know why it was not more clearly noted during COVID and not under amenities. I contacted both Hotels.com and Far Out Inn after I left the hotel after two nights because of the shared bathroom and towels, construction in the hotel, and limited access to reception, which was not on site during the morning and late evenings. They could only be reached by WhatsApp and did not always reply to my concerns. On October 7, I moved out of the hotel two days before my checkout date of 10/9. I moved in to a Barcelo hotel on October 7. I sought a reimbursement for the last two nights because I immediately made my concerns noted about the shared bathroom and towels during COVID, the construction, and limited availability of reception. I was told by Hotels.com that I could not receive any compensation because it was stated in small print in another language than my native tongue that I had mistakenly booked a shared bathroom. The hotel, Far Out Inn, said that Hotels.com was responsible for any refunds. But, in a recent email, Hotels.com said it was the hotel that was responsible for a reimbursement,.

Nice, knowledgeable staff. Great views from the public room.

Property is bed and breakfast style with fun decor. I would stay here again. Some of the rooms do not have ensuite bathrooms and have to share one doen the hall. Views from my room was spectacular. Breakfast was tasty. Host was excellent, speaks english and spanish fluently.

This place promised so much, but failed on the delivery. We had been away for almost 4 weeks and this was our last stop. We had stayed in castles, beautiful hotels in stunning locations, so had high hopes for this place. This was also the most expensive place we stayed in. We had expected shabby chic, but really was it was just shabby! The place was tired and uncared for, the bathroom smelt damp and there was one small light.
The walls in our room were paper thin and you could hear everything in the adjacent rooms.
The best thing about the room and the hotel was the view, but not sure it was worth £136 a night.
We were out all day and came back to find that our room had not been cleaned, but the bill was on the bed!
Most of the staff were nice and helpful, but there was a unfriendly vibe from the owner, you felt as though we were invading her space.
We'll definitely be back to San Sebastian, but not to this place!

We had a lovely stay here at the Far Our Inn, beautifully situated above the main beach. Our host Kati was charming and nothing was too much trouble. It’s a B and B, rather than a hotel, and it’s in an apartment of a very grand mansion, formally owned by a Count. It’s a little hard to find, and parking is secure but just a little tricky.... Its perched high up above the town, so getting down into town is a pleasant walk but getting back isn’t.... we decided to get a taxi home which was easy to find and cost @ 6 euros.Excellent value, we had the cheapest room which didn’t have the sea view, but was perfect for us. The views from the lounge and verandah are to die for....I guess the sea facing rooms have the same view.San Sebastián is the most amazing city, we have fallen in love with it, and will be back, and will stay at the Far Out Inn again. We can recommend a bottle of the local wine at the Inn before going out on the town and sampling the Pinchtos!

Spectacular view! I enjoyed staying there, but I was with my niece, who is not in really good physical shape, so the stairs down and back to the oceanfront was a bit daunting for her. I have since found out there is a bus service that can be used on the street in front of the inn, but I think walking to the old town is probably quicker.

We stayed for two nights at the Far Out Inn, Biarritz. We arrived early and were able to check in early and leave our bags and have an explore of the local area. Kati was very helpful and gave us a map and information about the local area. The inn is up quite a big hill which is not mentioned in the advertising. The view is stunning, but to get to the beach there are 300 odd steps to go down. There is a bus stop outside the door, but we are the sort of people who dont really want to have to get a bus every time we want to go somewhere. The room was nice and had a huge bed, but it was very very hot. There was no fan and if you left the window open you were beside a very busy road and the noise all night was very very loud. There was no kettle in the room which there was shown in the photos. The bathroom is shared between, 4 rooms and at times this was not good, waiting to use the toilet while someone else showered. Overall a lovely place with a beautiful outlook and very helpful staff but I would not stay again because of the lack of separate toilet and the Dream Room being just too uncomfortable to sleep well.

This B&B is in a beautiful old villa overlooking the sea. The setting is gorgeous and the location is convenient for walking around San Sebastian - just be prepared for a climb! Staff, breakfast, and room decor were great, however, there is a distinct lack of privacy which is the reason they did not get 5 stars from me. We had our own bathroom but the advertised balcony was shared. If you open your balcony door for air, your neighbor is there. There is only a light curtain over the balcony door and it offers only minimal coverage. Additionally, the window in the bathroom has no covering at all. If someone uses the glass elevator, they will get an eyeful if you happen to be bathing or using the facilities. Finally, you can hear everything your neighbors say or do. There is no sound proofing at all and the wooden floors and doors plus open windows (no ac) in an old house are noisy. Overall, if privacy is not an issue for you, I would highly recommend this B&B. If it is an issue, stay somewhere else.

Spent a wonderful night here, view from the Ocean room over San Sebastián was very special. The BnB was perfect ... service from Patricia and Kati was outstanding, they went out of their way to see we were happy :) Breakfast was a selection of cured Spanish meat, cheese, tomato spread, cereals, bread, fruit salad and was delicious. Wish we could have stayed another night!

Katie and staff were wonderful and the property was clean, with amazing views in a spectacular location. However, it was impossible to any sleep in our room, which was located directly above a very busy road where vehicles traveled constantly, and noisily, all night long. The weather was very warm during our stay, and the Far Out Inn has no air conditioning, so it was mandatory to sleep with the window open. With the window open you are subjected to the near constant road noise, plus we were also subjected to a foul odor (sewer?) that smelled of rotting grass clippings. Quite simply, the rooms directly over the road should not be on any rental property’s availability list. It is not possible to sleep in these rooms. And the property must be aware of the periodic, but persistent, foul smells, so should make the necessary corrections.

View outstanding! Clean, comfortable, reasonably quiet, and good value considering the location. Easy access to beach and a fairly long, but easy walk to old city/marina. ( Walk back up stairs is a bit more challenging!) Staff accommodating and multi- lingual.
Disappointments: Difficult to identify property entrances even with GPS. Perhaps they could put a big wreath or something on the gate.
Knew room was not en suite, but 5 people ( and potentially more) was a bit challenging in the morning.

I had the best view and caught the sun rising above the mountains and sea. It was nice to have your own bathroom as well as a balcony overlooking a 180 view of Sans Sebastian. Keeping the door open to the balcony, you can hear the ocean waves. The breakfast was also very homemade. The staff was incredibly warm and down to earth. If u want to stay someone with some privacy yet feel like a guesf in someones home with lots of attention to detail, i would say def stay here. I stayed solo however its super charming for couples!

B & B in an old villa, on a hill with stunning view of the beach and city. Photos on this website a good representation. Slightly quirky / eccentric decor but all very clean. Ocean view room with en suite definitely worth a few extra euros. Good fresh breakfast and delightful staff, welcoming and helpful. Note : can be tricky to spot from the road - the gate is marked 52, 54, 56 !!

The B&B has beautiful views from the balcony and a comfortable bed. Its location is as convenient as youll find in hilly, windy San Sebastian, although the steep path to the parking lot takes a little skill to negotiate. I hadnt realized that our room had a shared bathroom in the hallway. That wouldnt be a dealbreaker for me, but be sure youre aware of what kind of room you have so its not a surprise. And seriously, soak in the view down to the beach, beautiful!
