Janet & Scott are your hosts. We are a husband and wife team and we live nearby. We own and operate Mission Beach Villas, a highly rated vacation rental management business in San Diego.
We are available 7 am to 10 pm to answer questions during your stay.
Our storefront rental office, Mission Beach Villas, is a mile away as well, so if you need anything feel free to stop by! If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate. Please note, we charge a small nominal fee for luggage storage.
Before your stay, we are happy to suggest our favorite restaurants, and tourist attractions and will help you get acquainted with the area.
The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you may not need a car. You could just take an Uber from the airport (6 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.
The location is the best spot in all of Mission Beach. It is on the south side of Santa Clara Place (where the traffic light is), which means a non district area. It is far enough (1 mile) north of the roller coaster area so it's very removed from the tourist noise. It's located in a small apartment complex mixed with other vacation rentals and a few friendly locals.
Recreational opportunities abound. This beach rental is a few minutes walking distance to Santa Clara point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sail boats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. There are group classes and private lessons available in all of these activities. What's more there are free yoga classes each day on the beach and two courts north.
It is equally centered between Belmont Park (the roller coaster area) and Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach, which are both 1 mile away, making this location removed from the tourist noise but yet accessible to the action if that's what you want.
There is a fantastic surf spot at the beach for beginners to advanced surfers and great for spectators as well. There are affordable surf lessons offered daily in the beach right out in front by our friends at Surfari Surf School. What's more, we can point you to all the best surf spots in San Diego County. And we have two world class board shapers who live on our block in case you want to get a new surf board while you are here.
We offer self-check in via keyless digital entry. You will have private access to the unit so you may come and go as you please. There are no keys to lose, just a simple 4 digit passcode to remember.
If your bring a car we will provide you with a single car garage that will fit a mid size SUV.
If you're looking for a relaxing beach getaway look no further!
It is positioned in the ♡ of Mission Beach, a gorgeous beach community on a super narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. We simply call it home!

I would never ever go back to this place again. Don’t fall for the filtered pictures, The sheets were not washed, it was very dusty overall and did not look as new as shown in pictures. The first day after we checked in, the door was jammed couldn’t enter to the house till later Scott came and fix it.
It’s also located right on Main Street l, which caused it to be very very noisy and busy with cars and people all day and with people walking and cars parking right by the bed room. This place also felt very hot, they did have a portable AC, but when you turn it on it was very very loud, really made it hard to sleep, but felt too hot without it unfortunately. The host Janet also never responded to our needs. I texted about the coffee machine not working, but I got no response. For the internet issue I got respond the next day. There was very slow internet service and I would have to go outside to make phone calls because for some reason my phone was not getting service when I would be inside the house.
Also, it says it sleeps 4 people, but that was also misleading. There was 1 bedroom that had a softer, almost “wobbly” mattress, the sofa in the living room can become only a twin bed. It definitely wouldn’t fit 2 people, maybe two little children.
They even chargedcleaning fee at the checkout. Which is where I finally got a text, but not to any of my concerns. Only texting me to wash dishes, take the trash out, etc. I understand it’s always nice to leave a place as you lef
