The serene waters of Lake Champlain come right up to your lawn at this beautifully situated lakefront home in North Hero. The Green Mountains are also wonderfully scenic, allowing you to immerse yourself in all that nature has to offer. Enjoy your own stretch of beach along the lake each day.
This home sits on an expansive piece of grassy, waterfront property, with east-facing views of Knight Island framed by the trees. You'll be right next door to Shore Acres Inn & Restaurant, and a scenic drive or bike ride from Knight Point State Park, North Hero State Park, and Grand Isle State Park.
Begin each morning outside on the wraparound deck, where you can sip your coffee, crack open a novel, and watch the sun come up over the lake. On the side portion of the deck, you'll find a gas grill and an outdoor dining table - a gorgeous setting for an afternoon barbecue between swims.
As you step inside, you'll be greeted by glass doors on three sides of the living room, bringing in lovely natural light and views of the lake. Flip pancakes in the kitchen, sit down to enjoy them at the dining room table, and peek through the telescope to observe the local waterfowl. In the evenings, you can curl up by the wood-burning fireplace, watch movies on the TV and VCR/DVD player, or even sit down at the desk to catch up on a few emails. Of the two bedrooms, one is a lakefront primary suite with a walk-in closet and direct access to the deck.

We loved the space, the light and design of the home, the access to kitchen items and the location was top notch. Lake access and the beautiful green lawn was amazing for playing and walking the dog, as was the really nice surrounding streets/neighborhood. The neighbors and community were fantastic in helping us when there was a water main break and we needed some guidance. We can't wait to come back again!

Beautiful home on the lake, thank you so much, Sue, for hosting us! Your home is so nicely furnished and everything we needed for living and cooking was provided, which was wonderful. I have dietary restrictions and have to prepare most meals myself. The kitchen was perfectly equipped for that. The view was amazing from every window and the sounds of water on the shore were so relaxing. Our dog loved sunbathing on the huge deck and the BBQ grill worked great. The motor-up Bravo Zulu restaurant next door was very convenient for a fun casual meal and live music one night. The only mentionable cons were one toilet kept running and the hard corners of the bedframe in the master bedroom. I had to cover them with extra towels to prevent repeatedly hitting my shins against them. Overall however we were very grateful for the chance to enjoy our long weekend in such a lovely peaceful home and ideal location. We would love to stay at Rockledge again some time!

This is the second year we've stayed here and we enjoy the tranquility and easy access to all the islands have to offer! Great views and nice and cozy inside for the rainy days. We brought our dog this year who loved the big yard! She had plenty of places to play and explore. We hope to come back next summer again!

Loved the nautical decor with beautiful windows looking out onto the lake. Watched a group of Loons which I had never seen before.
Loved the wood burning fireplace. Perfect for a chilly evening.

Beautiful place! Highly recommend. Stayed in mid October so we did not go into the lake but waking up to the view of the lake and mountains was amazing! Watched the loons and other wildlife throughout the day. Only problem we had was the thermostat was set to 54 and it was locked there. We contacted Vacasa who advised the local crew would contact us but they never did. There were lots of extra blankets at the house so we wrapped ourselves in them. We hope to go back to Rockledge in the future!! We appreciate the people who own this slice of heaven and graciously allow others to experience it along with our dogs!

Enjoyed our time at this property. View was awesome and it was nice being right on the water. Also enjoyed being close to pet friendly restaurant/bat.

Not clean, wrong description on Website, a strong stench, when we asked for cleaning we first were gaslighted, the next day a cleaning worker came and superficially wiped the feces away. Cleaning fee was credited.

The property is nice with great lake views. The sunrise over the lake is very nice. We enjoyed swimming in the lake but need to stay close to the dock as it was a very busy area.
Next to the house is a pub that does very good business. There is constantly boat and jet ski traffic infront waiting to dock at the pub. We enjoyed watching all the boats.
Twice people came and fished off the dock, which we had assumed was a private dock for the house. They didn't bother us, felt strange
If you are looking for private, quite are this may not be the best choice.

I hesitate to write this positive of a review because I want to be able to rent here again when I am visiting Vermont again.
What did we like about this place? Plenty of parking, neighbors are not too close, huge back yard with steps down to the nice size lake front, the water wasn't freezing, large deck with plenty of seating for everyone, large inside table, lots of windows for cross ventilation, a kitchen with everything we needed except food, two bathrooms, a walk in closet in the master bedroom, and wifi that worked.

My wife and I had a wonderful time here. The location looks exactly like the photos. It's very private, hardly saw any other people while we were there. The lake is right there and it's so peaceful. One of the most relaxing vacations I've ever had. Highly recommend

The location on the lake is wonderful! Sadly the weather wasn’t ideal for going in the water. Ah well. We enjoyed the views, the peace and quiet, the layout of the house, the yard, and the deck. We were thankful there was a place to eat next door. The photos adequately display the property! There were no surprises. Overall, it was a fantastic trip and we would love to return here in the future!

Cozy home is a relaxing getaway on the eastern shore of North Hero island w/a stunning view of the sunrise over the Green Mountains.
Home is 1 level open concept kitchen/LR/DRw/ wood burning fireplace(wood not incl), bedroom w/2 twins +window facing driveway, hall bath w/shower+tub combo, and master queen en suite w/view of lake +walk in closet and bath w/stand alone shower. Side by side large capacity washer+dryer located in hallway closet.
Plumbing septic. Hard water typical for well+city water in VT (bring lotion+conditioner as it dries the skin+hair). Water pressure great in both showers. Flush is better in master bath. Plunger and bucket available for other bathroom as flush is weaker. Hotel quality shower fixtures and controls. Master bath shower w/ sliding glass doors has built in "seat" . Kitchen includes filter at sink for drinking water (tastes great) and the drawer freezer has an ice maker (turn on when you arrive and make sure to turn off at night as it makes startling noises).
Professional cleaning so home smelled and looked "good hotel" clean upon entry. Pristine hotel quality sheets and towels w/lots of clean extras + extra blankets, pillows, and beach towels in master closet. Hotel ammenities of shampoo+conditioner+soapX2 in each bathroom plus antibacterial soap pump at bathroom and kitchen sinks. Kitchen sink incl new sealed sponge and travel size dishwashing liquid plus 4 dishwasher pods. Each bathroom includes 2 extra rolls of septic ready toilet paper under each sink plus the one on the roll. Laundry comes with 4 detergent pods. Only one roll of paper towels found in kitchen (bring extras).
Plenty of dishes, utensils, pots, and pans for cooking (we made pancakes, bruscheta, homemade pizza, and lasagna). Some spices. Toaster (lower cabinet beside trash compacter in drawer), microwave, drip coffee maker. Washer, dryer, and dishwasher make moderate noise, but can be run peacefully during the day. Trash compactor is opened w/foot and is for non-recyclable and non-food items only. You will have to sort and remove trash and recycling from property when you check out according to Vacasa (trash+recycling not incl). Compost+redemption sites listed in kitchen. However, prepare ahead for eliminating your trash.
Big lawn north + east w/steep drop to lake rocky shore. Great Rock hunting. Stairs to shore. Be careful for kids+unsure footed when choppy.
Vacasa slow to answer questions if answered at all which is why i include details.
