About this house rental
The Gathering Place reflects back to mom and dad back in 1946.
When you walk in the back entryway, pictures will tell "the rest of the story."
Spacious kitchen, three (3) bedrooms, bathroom with a shower/ tub. Large, combined dining area/living room.
Two (2) enclosed porches. Washer/dryer can be used . Off-street parking along in front of the already occupied three (3) car garage.
If your a traveling nurse, mins away from Erie hospitals, St. Vincent's, Hamot & LECOM CAMPUS. Also close to the Millcreek Mall, Presque Isle State Park and Waldameer Park & Water World and much more.
The house sits on a 3/4 lot with privacy all around the house. Quite neighborhood. If you enjoy morning walks this is the place to stay since there is very little traffic on our block.
The kitchen is spacious and the house speaks for itself since you feel welcomed into the home like it's your own.
Guest access
You'll have access to the entire house. We want you to feel welcomed as if you were back home. The back and front porches are great to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee/tea to relax in the morning before you start your day.
Other things to note
There is a fire pit in the backyard that can be used should you want to sit and have a beer or a glass of wine to end the evening. You'll find it peaceful as you listen to the night crickets as your sitting by the fire.

Excellent Erie Event

The property was as advertised, it was like stepping back into my grandmothers home. The communication and check in process was easy and effortless. It did not have ac which was not listed but had many fans and stayed cool considering outside temperatures. The property was clean and maintained. Just for reference as I appreciate the information when I’m looking at properties the beds were very firm.

Property was in a quiet neighborhood. Interior was very clean and well stocked with everything anyone would need, large bedrooms with very firm mattresses, extra blankets and pillows, and large spaces. Backyard was well kept with ferns, flowering bushes, firepit, with the sounds of many birds and rabbits munching on grass.

The house was bigger than expected, the house was clean and the host was very responsive to our question. We are already looking at dates for next year for our fishing trip!

My best recommendation is that this property will be the first I seek out when I travel to Erie again. It was so homey and comfortable - our hosts thought of everything to make for a wonderful stay. It was too chilly for us Floridians to take advantage of the yard, but would have loved to. I took the king bed while my sister took the double. We both slept great. The king is quite firm but I like that. The antique-like fridge and microwave brought us both back in time. And the TV!! We didn't watch, but it felt so nostalgic to see one of those big box TVs with rabbit ears. I felt like I was back at Grandma's, and for me, being with Grandma was the best time of my life. The location is peaceful, but close to roads to get anywhere. Great stuff nearby - shopping, restaurants, fishing/sports for those who want it. A score of 100+%!

I had a great time staying here. It was a small house but was well located, clean, and provided everything my family and I needed for our stay. I would recommend an improvement, even a mattress topper, for the full bed. Otherwise, comfortable home for a trip spent mostly roaming about the area. Very appreciative of our hosts who were communicative and accommodating. Thank you Craig and Annie!

I'll start by saying we couldnt of asked for better hosts. They were extremely prompt on replying back on every message i sent leading up to our stay. We came up to fish for a couple days and there was tons of room in the driveway for a boat just like they said. They were very catering to our needs and i couldnt ask for better. As far as the place goes nice neighborhood and very nostalgic with an entire antique presence throughout the entire house. It was pretty cool to feel and see all of the history inside. It was just two of us so it was way more house than we needed, but that is a good thing. I was very happy with my experience

We were in town for a fishing tournament. The house has ample boat parking. And is located a short drive to the boat ramp. This house is located in a great neighborhood.
The house was very clean. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was perfectly equipped. The owners initiated contact with us and were quick to respond and help us out during our stay. I would definitely return to this property again.

The owners were extremely communicative and responsive to our individual requests and provided additional items to assist an older member of the group. The home was clean and had everything needed for our stay. Conveniently located to the airport and presque isle state park.
Would highly recommend to others considering a stay here

This was a super clean place. The yard was large and a nice place to spend time outside. Bed was comfy. There are stairs to deal with . The shower can be harder for older adults to deal with and very little tv service. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would go back. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to make anything you wanted to make as far as pots pans utensils. The owners were super nice and helpful.

This house is very clean! The location was perfect for a trip to Presque Isle or downtown. The property is landscaped beautifully and was very relaxing after a day at Presque Isle. The listing represents this property very well. The owners were quick to respond when we had questions and they offer suggestions on places to visit and dine. Overall, we had a great stay at this property!

There was excessive clutter in every room. The clutter made it difficult to use the space. While the antiques are beautiful they take up most of the living room and a Christmas tree decorated in June was too much. The TV while unique, does not hold a station and was unusable.
The bedrooms were hot and stuffy, which made it impossible to sleep comfortably. It was so hot we used every fan available and four of us slept on the floor in the living room. At this point we decided to leave a full two days early.
Adequate ventilation or cooling systems should be in place especially during warm weather conditions.
The beds were excessively firm, making them unusable.
The basement was not usable during our stay as it was damp and dank and had the typical musty cellar smell .
Thoughts :
1. Clear the excessive clutter to create a more spacious and comfortable environment.
2. Improve the ventilation or cooling systems in the rooms to alleviate the hot and stuffy conditions.
3. Consider replacing, upgrading or putting pillow top mattress toppers on the beds.
The Good!
The house was immaculately clean
Everything you could need was supplied kitchen and bathroom items were well thought out.
The outside has beautiful landscaped grounds, a fire pit and chairs .
Unfortunately it rained hard during our stay and we couldn’t use the yard .
The host made herself readily available but these are issues that could not be fixed for our stay .

Lovely, comfortable older home, well maintained with amazing yard, 2 porches and plenty of parking. Nice neighborhood. Everything you could possibly need is provided. Owners were very easy to communicate with, and kept in constant contact with us. Close to shopping, not far from lake. Great place to relax. Highly recommend.

The house far exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and cozy. The yard had different seating areas and the landscaping was beautiful. The location was very close to the Bay Area. Craig and Annie were very welcoming.

My friend and I stayed three nights to do sightseeing in Erie. This beautiful cozy home was convenient to everything! Roomy, great kitchen: it truly felt like staying at my grandma’s home. Immaculately clean and well appointed, room to enjoy our meals and relax. So pleased with the property and the helpful hosts. Highly recommend!
