This was my second stay at the hotel. Both times were enjoyable.

Perfect location, the staff were wonderful and very helpful.

The only negative is very small and that would be the start time for Sunday to be 7am due to early train departure to get to Zurich Airport.

Super friendly and relaxing

The staff here are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, bed comfortable and airco freezing. The hotel is very well situated in the city. Even with the train station across the road, I don't recall a single noise coming from outside. Will definitely be back!

They do offer secure parking, although it's about a 5 minute walk away. Not a major complaint.

Very kind staff, good breakfast & minibar

They don’t have parking in or around the hotel. the parking possibilities are their garage across the train station or public parkings which are full on Friday and Saturday evening. I was driving around more than an half hour to find a spot.

Really nice, service minded staff at the reception. Helps you with everything from calling a taxi, keeping the luggage until check in if you arrive early.

Big comfortable room

Huge room with fantastic spaces for all our luggage and coats. Great heating. Very helpful staff.

No parking on site - cars are parked in the open 200m down the road. Lift is extremely small.

Ideal location, extraordinary friendly staff.

Perfect location, and the service was impeccable. We travel a lot, and the genuineness of this staff really stood out. They were communicative and responsive throughout, always greeting us with a smile. The quality and variety of the breakfast was a nice surprise.

Excellent location near main train station and old Town, very clean. Attentive and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast buffet with many hot and cold meals. Free coffee. A very pleasant experience

Mattress was a bit hard, but that's probably a matter of personal preference.

Perfect stay!

Perfect stay! Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and tasty breakfast with lots of options. The hotel is just a few steps away from the old city center. The best place to see the Rhine Falls is the Laufen Castle side.

Great location next to railway station which was ideal as we were arriving by train

Excellent buffet style breakfast with lots of choice. Lovely room. Although initially the bed seemed very hard and pillow strange we both slept very well and woke up without any stiffness.

I would have liked more english breakfast tea bags in the room. Lots of herbal teas but not keen on them.

Happy to stay again.

The location is excellent whether walking or travelling by train or bus. Access to all the facilities in Schaffhausen was perfect. The staff are excellent. Always had happy faces. Always courteous, and really nice to talk to, even in English. The buffet breakfast had enough range to keep most people happy. I am going to miss the sesame seed coated croissants - absolute favourite! :-) The room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable as well.

Only negative - there are no laundromats in Schaffhausen. So, if you are staying for more than a couple of days and you don't want to pay the quite expensive in-house laundry rates, get used to hand washing your clothing.

Excellent hotel for business or private trip

Very friendly and polite staff. Superb breakfast! all fresh and good variety. Location is next to train station but quite. Spacious rooms with nespresso coffee machine.

Poor quality to price ratio

Nice to be near "Old" part of the city.

The room was tiny, very tiny. Window opened on a backyard with noisy ventilation fans. Car park is 1,000 ft (300m) away. You have to break road law and prescriptions to get close to the hotel entrance in order to load/unload baggage. Very pricey for what you get. There is something wrong with the rating. How can such a Hotel get 4 star ? No pool, not even a jacuzzi, only few pieces of fitness training equipment.
