Situated neighbouring HM the King's Sandringham residence, and formerly used as stables, Long Cottage is an exquisite example of a traditional Norfolk carrstone cottage. Set within private verdant grounds and retaining many original features, this hideaway perfectly encapsulates genteel countryside living complimented with subtle contemporary accents.
Enter the cottage through the lobby leading to a large inviting kitchen/ dining area. The hub of the house, this area is the ideal for gathering together to plan the day ahead, or chat long into the evening. Brilliantly well-equipped with plenty of work-top space, the kitchen easily caters for breakfasts, dinner parties or summer barbecues in the garden. Seating for nine guests is provided around the charming farmhouse table. A cosy sitting room offers ample comfortable seating appointed around a wood burning stove. With a Smart television and selection of board games available, rainy days or relaxing evenings are well taken care of. For those seeking solitude or privacy, further seating and an additional Smart television are located in the snug. The stylish study with ornamental fireplace makes a great spot for any guests needing to work or study.
Completing the L-shape configuration of the property, the stable annexe is an brilliant option for groups that may require individual privacy. Accessed internally, or via a separate front door, this annexe provides a well-equipped kitchenette, and houses bedroom two. Providing twin beds that can be made into a king-size bed on request, this bedroom is served by en suite shower room. Two further beautifully curated bedrooms are located on this floor. Exposed beams and garden access feature in the master bedroom, which hosts a super-king bed. Situated in a self-contained area of the house, bedroom three offers a king-size bed. These bedrooms are served by a tranquil family bathroom boasting roll top bath.
Outside there are secluded and private enclosed mature gardens to the front and rear of the property. The faint murmur of school children can sometimes be heard drifting into the garden from the village primary school, but this merely adds to the overall charm of the property. A charcoal barbecue is provided in the large social outdoor seating area. Off-road parking for up to three cars, plus additional storage for bicycles is available.
