This property is located in a side street riddled with potholes off the main road. It is surrounded by trees with walking paths to each building where rooms are located. Some paths are inaccessible due to heavy silt/mud. The rooms are kept clean but is not impressive. The pictures online apparently reflect a better version of this place in times gone by.The wardrobe is in disrepair old and musty, could not unpack clothing. The kitchenette is bare with just an old mini fridge. There are no utensils or cups/plates. Could not reheat food purchased outside the premises as there is no microwave in the room or even a kettle. Travelled with infants and getting hot water for their tea was an inconvenience of having to leave rooms and head to the open dining area downstairs to use the restaurant’s kettle. The baths leaked, there were ants, roaches and lizards frequenting the rooms. We couldn’t watch tv or use internet based apps as the WiFi was weak. There is a pool table upstairs of the main dining area however that space is not maintained as it was dusty with old broken chairs and it looks more like storage. At one end of the property there is a trampoline and a small area with swings and a little slide for kids but that too is not quite operational.
On a more positive note, the complimentary breakfast was excellent. The restaurant’s food was delicious. The pool was kept clean and house keeping came around everyday asking if we needed cleaning. Rick’s Cafe is close by 2-3mins drive.

Really nice place

I really liked the chill vibe of this inn. It wasn't a luxury all inclusive but I wasn't looking for that. I was more like a retreat house with big comfy bedrooms and friendly staff. I especially liked the owner, Chris who was very accommodating when things go wrong. I loved the pool with it's swim up bar. The food was fantastic, especially the jerk chicken, chicken fingers and vanilla ice cream. I would stay here again.
4.3
It’s a hidden little gem in the westend of Negril, away from the beach hustle.

Had a nice cottage villa feel in the room, bathroom needed some esthetics. Very spacious room. needed updated patio furniture,

This could be such a cute little boutique resort but it is completely run down. The Pool area is not usable, full of dead plants, dirty pool, no chairs to enjoy. The room was beyond basic, I didn't want to lay my head on the pillow it was so old and lumpy. We stayed one night, slept in our clothes and went across the street to Catch a Falling Star. This place needs new owners who actually care about their customers and have love to give to the property.

We (2 couples) stayed at the Seastar Inn in early April for 4 nights. First impressions were not stellar. We arrived on a Wednesday around dinner time and the owner was high as a kite. He showed us to our rooms but barely said 10 words to us. The safe in our room was broken and the other room didn’t even have a safe. We were woken up frequently at night by barking dogs and the roosters let us know it was morning. That being said, the beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. The AC worked well too. Daily maid service was provided.
We used the pool daily, which was clean and refreshing. Most days, we had the pool to ourselves. The furniture surrounding the pool is very worn down, most of the chairs are broken. The hot tub was unusable, broken while we were there. The exterior of the resort, as a whole, could use a lot TLC. Fresh paint, flowers, and vegetation could really bring this place to the next level.
We had dinner at The Seastar one night and everyone’s food was excellent. Breakfast, which was included, was consistently good. Cold Red Stripe was $3 USD or they have a bucket deal, 6 for $12 USD. The owner was able to get a sporting event on the TV for us to watch one evening at the bar. They do advertise themselves as a “sports bar”, but there is only one TV in that space.
The location of this resort is what was attractive to us when booking. It was a five minute walk to Rick’s Cafe, Ivan’s, LTU Pub, etc. Definitely recommend the jerk chicken at Kool Vybes. 10

The staff is the absolute best. Seastar is a true and unique Jamaican experience every traveler to the Westend should experience

Very clean and safe but not for those expecting top notch. Worked perfectly for us. As we only spent time there sleeping.
Price was good compared to all others. Staff was great.
Would definitely stay again.

I really loved the water fountain outside my room, and the overall property in general.
4.3
Had a great time. Free breakfast for guests was an added bonus. Great value if your on a budget.

Absolutely loved staring here and was gutted to leave. Loved the spacious rooms with balcony. Staff were amazing, helpful and friendly throughout.
As someone travelling alone, the staff helped to make this an amazing stay just by being so friendly.
Really hope i get a chance to stay here again!

Nice budget accommodation. Minutes walk from Ricks Cafe. Rooms are basic, but clean and tidy. Furniture around the pool could be updated. Nice options of breakfast provided. Would have been lovely to have a Jamaican option for breakfast. Bar staff could smile a bit more and be friendlier.

Awesomeness!

I love everything about the property the staff there are lovely easy going communication is on point it's peaceful and safe and I will definitely book there again.
4.3
Love the trees and to hear the birds sings, not so keen on the cats, especially in the dining area where we eat.
4.3
Pictures are misleading. Pool was great, food was awesome, room was big and comfy beds but sheets are so old and thin. Bathrooms are needing attention. Old ripped loungers at pool or broken chairs. It claims a sports pub but only one tv and no sports available. Junk just laying around, ripped and old fabric for shade around bar and pool the railings were all rusting and falling apart.. owners were nice but just had a no care for concerns or "it is what it is" attidute. Can see the possibility of a nice place if some TLC. people left after one stay as not what they perceived. People we met that had come years ago were shocked of conditions.

Top notch staff and service. Will be returning next year.

Amazing property! Will stay again, everything was clean, service was well and location is right near some lovely dining experiences.
4.3
It's a nice relatively quiet property set in the west-end area within walking distance from Rick's cafe. While it's a bit dated, everything was very clean. They provide transportation to the 7 mile beach which is a nice bonus.

The courtesy and welcome greetings

What I noticed in the hotel is that you have no grab bars in the shower
For senior people recommended that you put them in
My overall stay was very good

The property was virtually empty. I ended checking out after one night.

I stayed 8 nights at seastar inn in negril from i got there they made me feel right at home like one of the family, the property is set in a can't wait to return fabulous surroundings with lots of trees just like a beautiful garden every peaceful, :-)
4.3
Beautiful place I will be staying there when ever I in that part of Jamaica # Negril. Thankyou to the staff.

This property needs new management and a complete overhaul. The location os off West End Rd, which is not communicated on the listing. You have to turn off into a rundown community with unpaved roads to reach Seastar. There is not enough parking inside and the property can hold about 4 cars blocking each other.
Now the property looks like it has not been properly maintained or updated in decades. The linen is old, the rooms smell like smoke, and the furniture and ammenties are falling a part. The pictures online are deceptive and may have been taken 20 years ago when this was built or renovated. This is not a good representation of Negril or Jamaica, it is an embarassment for the tourist industry. We booked 2 nights and decided to leave after 1 night, it was impossible to stay in such a dirty, smoky room. As a Jamican, this was the worst experience locally, I can't imagine tourists experience this.
If you decide to stay in the beautiful Negril infamous for its sunset and white sand beaches, please try Ocean Cliff, Traveller's, Villa Sur Mer and all inclusive options of RIU, Azul, or Sandals. Please avoid this until they have renovated and fixed this property.

nothing compared to their website. The entire place can use an upgrade. Fresh paint job, Gardening and clean up, new fixtures etc., I did not stay I was very dissatisfied in the appearance. I could not manage my OCD self to stay. It had potential to be great again thou.
4.3
I really enjoy the grounds. Many flowers and fruit trees. had more than one rooms so I was able to compare. Some of the rooms need a little more upkeep. The staff is very professional with a friendly attitude. They go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. Very reliable transportation service. Lovely owners.
4.3
I like that the Owner Chris was personable, he was willing to get to know his guess while helping to accommodate them.

Breakfast made to order is included & they offer a shuttle bus to 7 mile beach !

First night our TV didn't work. The next morning we woke up to all our stuff soaked in water from the AC unit leaking. They said they'd check the filter. Next day they brought in another TV and set it up right below the AC... don't know why but ok. So the next day the AC had leaked all over the new TV and half the screen wasn't working. We went and told them. They said they'd figure out how to fix it... never did the whole time we were there. They said oh well the AC leaks at night if you use it. Ok well would have been nice to know before we had all our stuff under it the first night.
There was dogs barking outside all night keeping us awake. Their pet doves outside my room never shut up. Roosters crowing all night. Cats fighting each other like lions at night. The place had so many ants inside.
The tub leaked from the bottom on the floor so there must have been a crack in it somewhere. If thats the case think of the mold under the tub... the towel rack was wood but looked like it had black mold on it. The shower facet didn't work right. The bathtub faucet came flying off the wall when I started it.
They had no microwave, silverware or any cups in the kitchen in our room. No shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom so don't expect that there the smoke detector had been taken off the wall.
Wish we stayed somewhere else. Wasn't a option at that point. A heavy sleeper maybe it wouldn't be so bad but if your a light sleeper like me you'll be miserable.

Chris and Francine are wonderful caring hosts...the property is located less than a 5 min walk from Ricks café, very walkable location. The rooms were very clean ,spacious and cooled from the strong air con, strong wifi too! The whole experience was great, the owners make you feel at home and go above and beyond for their guests. Wish we stayed longer than 2 nights but will definitely stay here again when in Negril.

Staff and service excellent. Nice clean room. The beach shuttle and daily breakfast was amazing! Loved my stay.
4.3
The food was top notched, the staff was pleasant especially the bartender Kim she was very pleasant and added to our experience with her outgoing personality 😀.
4.3
The property is off the main Road and a 7 min walk in. We had to ask for a taxi to collect us alternatively walk to the main where taxi frequent - if they come in or drop you off you pay more.
The bathroom let down what is a clean 3 star accommodation lovely hot water but taps etc needs updating and finishing touches in the bathroom roughly finished.
The staff were accommodating and helpful - beautiful environment to relax in - not sure if all the trees and plants surrounding the property made the atmosphere a bit damp in the room and the bedding was cold and had to be changed this just added a little discomfort - bedding was changed at our request however we still experienced uncomfortably damp like bedding. More like a 3 star than 3.5. I make this evaluation having stayed this year in 3 different hotels and accommodation across jamaica. Gave us all the additions to make our stay comfortable kettle - iron - ironing board - tea bags - good breakfast choice and free shuttle to the beach Thk you
