Very noisy, you can feel a moving chair sound from the room ceiling and chatting at next door!

Excellent property and Anna easily accommodated my early arrival. One slight concern was the string of holiday lighting across the entryway. The string of lights didn’t hamper me, but others may be tripped or tangled in it as they arrive or depart. The homeowner obviously knows about tasteful decor, so the interior walls were unadorned. The hallway had high caliber decor, so the room interior should contain something of a matching quality. The Vancouver area is photogenic, so the room interiors should be complimentary of the home instead of being plain and unadorned.
The big, thick curtain is of high quality but the walls were bare.

Had a good stay here overall. Quiet street with good parking on street options, plus walkable to the metro. Great cafe just up the road. Anna was very friendly. The room itself was a little on the small side, and a bit worse for wear decor wise. Cleanliness could be improved (cob webs and dusty surfaces etc). With solid surfaces on all walls and floors in the room and in the corridor it was also quite noisy - could hear into both adjoining rooms, corridor and the rest of the house. Some soft closers on the doors or perhaps a rug or two may be a quick fix though!

Perfect for a couples getaway to see a concert at Deer Lake Park. Nice people, nice property. Clean and functional.

Having read most of the recent reviews, based on my experience, it was definitely safe, quiet and a brilliant location for the Metrotown malls and public transport.
I had excellent communication with Anna via the Hotels.com app. Quick responses and informative when it came to checking in and the WiFi. Just make sure to screenshot both of these messages as I forgot and hadn't set up my data plan yet when I left the airport which had free WiFi.
Had the chance to stay in one of the deluxe rooms and the downstairs room with a separate bathroom. Please read other guests' reviews on these as I found their reviews to be spot on. One bathroom towel and flannel is provided with two complimentary bottles of water and two snacks. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash is provided.
What is not clear on the description is that there is a separate area for guests to use the washing machine (clothes detergent provided), dryer and a kitchen where you can store your food in a standard size fridge-freezer. Cutlery, plates and bowls are provided. I asked Anna about using cutlery from her kitchen and she showed me this room that I wasn't aware of. This is located next to the garage. This was an additional service that I wasn't aware of and was happy that it was provided.
Overall, safe, clean, comfortable and spot on location for my exploration of the city. I've already recommended her guesthouse to a friend for future travels. If I come back to Vancouver, I would definitely book this place again

We had a wonderful stay. Host was friendly and always available. Bathroom large and comfortable. All working 100%. Bed was comfortable.
Room maybe a little small to put luggage and bags.
In general very happy with my stay

Quiet house and simple room. Furnishings are dated. Host is a nice lady. No frills. Nice backyard. Safe neighborhood

It seems to be a private residence. I had separate access to my room and I didn’t even know if I could access the main house. There is no sign in the front of the building so if someone arrives late at night s/he may have problems finding the right place. My Uber driver pointed the wrong building and I had to call the owner to help me out. It was frustrating.

Anna is super nice. They do not provide towels unless you ask for them. The mini toy like fridge was useless. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.

We had a comfortable stay. My wife and I aren't very good at English and this was our first time using a guesthouse, but Anna and her family were so kind and accommodating that we felt at ease.

They were very accomodating with providing me with out of hours checkin and checkout options, and I thought the arrival gift was a lovely touch. Response to my booking questions was prompt and helpful.

If you’re used to hotels and this is a different experience for you please read! I’m not used to just taking a room in someone’s house, but this ended up being a great experience. I was on the main level and did have my own bathroom though it wasn’t attached. Would have to walk through the living area to get to it, but truthfully there wasn’t a lot of foot traffic and frankly wasn’t an issue for me. Very quiet and felt very safe, which it’s important when traveling alone especially as a woman. Room was small, but comfortable. Was able to make it work easily even with the tiny little fridge.
Location was great. Easy to walk to everything you’d need. Convince store, Walmart, mall, coffee shop around the corner and the sky train. Plenty of options all around.
The family that hosts the property were very kind. Highly recommend this location.

The location is great, convenient and accessible to Skytrain, shopping malls and dining places. Landlord is nice and helpful. But the room is clean but a bit small, just for sleeping purpose.
One bad experience, one of the nights of our stay, the electric power was tripped off suddenly which might be due to the fuse was blew (I thought). We tried all means to contact the landlord to fix it but to no avail. No direct contact number is provided except leaving messages on the website. All night dark for the small room😠. The issue was only fixed eventually in the next morning 😠

Very nice house. 5-10 min drive to shopping, restaurants. Parking is on the street outside the house but very quiet neighborhoods.

Anna was very kind to me. It helps me to stay in Vancouver easier. An Yang House is located in walking distance to Metrotown station. It is convenient for sightseeing and shopping in Vancouver. The place is very safe and quiet. It was a great memory for me.

one fridge at the room is necessary also to have more towels, 2 for a week is not enough

The place is quite near a metro station, the room was very good, adecuared size. I never came across other people. If only, I would like other pillow and instructions to where to empty the garbage.

I had such a beautiful stay at AnYang while in Vancouver visiting my daughter (@Simon Fraser-about a 25 minute drive). It was quiet, clean and in a great neighborhood. Our hosts were simply lovely. Easy check in and check out. Highly recommend.

The property is a nice house with good room. The price is good value for money. The TV was not working though and still not working when I depart. The house keeper left her guests alone. It is ok but it would be nice if she could ask if we want to change towels and clean waste basket.

Anna was an amazing host! We’re very glad that we chose this property during our first time in Vancouver. Location is great & the room was simple but had everything we needed. Anna was very flexible with our special accommodations & requests. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 3 weeks. Very friendly and nice owners. Convenient location for Metrotown shopping centre and public transit. Did not need to use our car much and parking was adequate

I found the bathtub a bit slippery when taking a shower. I would advise purchase of either a bathtub mat or non-slip appliques. There was also no bathtub plug. On days that I walked too much, I wanted to take a soak in the tub. I ended up purchasing a plug from Dollarama and left it there. Since I stayed more than 3 days, I thought that a small garbage can in the bedroom in addition to the one in the bathroom would have been nice. I did take some garbage down to the kitchen from my take out containers.
Mrs. Yang was very friendly and even gave me Asian apple pears from her back yard and a paring knife to peel them with. Also since it had been several years since I spoke Mandarin, I'm very appreciative to get in some practice, otherwise I'd be forgetting more and more.
I should have gotten up earlier to go out to the back yard to practice some tai chi, when it wasn't raining. Perhaps if I stay there again.

This is a good place to stay. Property owner is nice and friendly. Guests were quiet and property is very safe. I didn’t hear noise from other guests. Entrance door was close to my bedroom but I never noticed people going in or out. Bathroom was large. It could have been a littler cleaner to make the whole stay more pleasant.
