We had a lovely stay at the Gamekeeper’s Inn. The food was amazing and reasonably priced.

Stayed overnight after visiting Yarndale Show in Skipton. This was in a lovely private park, gorgeous environment and setting. Food and drink was fabulous.

An amazing hotel, already planning another stay.
I spend 50-75 nights per in hotels, this surpasses its self everytime.

Gamekeepers in was a lovely stay near Skipton. I was suprised at how far it was from town so if you don't have a rental car or transportation of your own you might want to take note of the distance from town. We could not get an Uber back to town to catch our train the next morning because no one would pick it up due to distance. We were fortunate that our taxi driver from the night before gave us his card so we were able to get a driver to come get us and take us back to town. Aside from that the location is awesome and the staff was very helpful and nice!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is perfect except the sofa bed is a bit too small and not so comfortable. The toilet is clean and the room is spacious. Lovely to the leisure centre which is really nice and clean.

Super room for our family of 3. Amazing pool and facilities. Breakfast and evening meal were excellent.

Hearts sank a little as we realised this hotel was in the middle of a holiday village, but we had nothing to worry about. There a few locals drinking in the bar which is not massive and does seem to get busy at certain times but the welcome was friendly. All staff we encountered were friendly, cheerful and very helpful - i had reserved a table online via the hotel’s own website but it hadn’t been processed. Staff sorted it quickly. The restaurant was pleasant and had a relaxed atmosphere despite how busy it was it never felt crowded or noisy. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced, the quality of the wine selection is good and the food was excellent both on the evening and the next day for breakfast.

Very good really relaxing the Pool & Spar area is excellent gamekeepers inn restaurant was very good and catered to my wife's needs but very disappointed with PIE NIGHT Minted Lamb pie with red wine gravy Mash or Chips looked good until i lifted off the top MINCED something did not even taste like Lamb and chef must have put the Redwine gravy on with a brush(avoid) Breakfast very good 10/10 all round

Such a great place to stay! We loved everything about it. A great room, friendly staff (especially the morning person who gave us tips on what to do that day).
The food here is OUTSTANDING. Best we had on our whole trip.

Beautiful country inn with all the home comforts. Food and breakfasts were amazing. Would have liked tea and coffee to be topped up daily but provisions were given on request. Surrounds lovely, great local pub too x

We loved this property. The location was wonderful and out of the way enough to feel like we were on a nice holiday. The staff was nice and helpful. The pool was delightful. We used the laundry facilities, too. Bed was a bit uncomfortable.

Stayed with friends for 1 night in a room with double sofa bed and separate double bedroom. We couldn’t fault the room or service at all. Staff were friendly and efficient and we felt really welcome. Dinner and breakfast were cooked perfectly and delicious. The setting is beautiful. Lots of opportunity for walks on the site or perfectly located to drive out and visit Yorkshire’s beautiful scenery. The leisure families were great too. Quiet, clean and relaxing. We will definitely return

It was my first time in a pod so I was very excited and I was not disappointed… The pod was furnished in a very tasteful manner and all appliances and fixtures were very modern and clean… I enjoyed my experience…
4.6
Hotel its self was fine. Clear but fixtures are very dated.
Evening staff were socking, not interested in getting us checked in or serving in the restaurant. We’d spoiled her day ordering an evening meal, food wasn’t great when it turned up. Kids are free which was a pleasant surprise when paying the bill. We weren’t told when ordering. Breakfast was better and the staff were great

Staff were excellent. food was too.

Lovely clean room staff very nice people .Lovely quiet spot .Spa and pool right next door .Also a very good cooked breakfast to start the day.Nothing to dislike about our nights stay in this hotel.
4.6
Everything was of good quality - from the room to the food to the bar to the pool etc. very nice stay

We had a delux room which had its own little patio, the room was really comfortable, quite and relaxing just what we wanted. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. If you want gormet food then this is not the place for you if you want amazing homecooked traditional type food then you are in for a treat. My only shock was that it was centred in the middle of the static home park, I had thought it was off to one side. Though we had a really peaceful weekend we did wonder how the noise level would go up. Having said that we would definately return its a great location for exploring the dales - easy to get to.

Fab stay with use of the spa. For my taste the beds are too soft as are the pillows but that’s my taste. Breakfast was great and plenty of it

Stayed thid weekend as a family of four with 2 young children and totally exceeded expectations. We had a great room with seperate bedrooms and bathrooms. It was lovely and roomy, clean and modern. The coffee machine, biscuits and toilitries were appreciated. We had a child with allergies and at beeakfast the staff already knew about these. We also chose to have dinner and again the staff were aware in advance of the allergies and could tell us before we even looked at the menu what was suitable. This felt very reassuring and was great to see. I also noticed a winter allergy information folder which was welcomed as an allergy parent, we didnt need the emergency food I had packed as the hotel catered so well. We found the pool also very clean and changing rooms clean and warm. Couldnt hear any noise from the pub below room. Thanks for a great stay we will be back!

Everything here was lovely - the room, the breakfast, the location. We ate in the restaurant every night and it was great and not too expensive.
4.6
Room excellent. Leisure facilities very good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Lovely area and peaceful. Only downside was access to room was through bar area with young children. Although a function was on and a lot of people there was no noise in the room.will definitely go back
4.6
Excellent from start to finish. Welcome, service, food, facilities and location were all first rate.

Great location with good parking and spa on site. Room really well decorated. All staff very friendly and food good quality

very good staff especially the waitresses

Our stay was for 4 days, 3 nights, the staff were all very helpful, our room was as expected, but we had to ask for a top sheet, which i then had to make up our bed, there are little things missing, like coat hooks, and a hook in the bathroom, also there was no hair conditioner or body lotion, just hand and shower cream, plus shampoo, i would have liked a spa treatment but there was no availability until the day we were to go home, disappointed again, advise book in advance of stay.... the restaurant food was the best part, nice menu, excellent chips, fish, and pies, the breakfast menu was good and generous portions, although one day my husband ordered eggs benedict, the eggs were under cooked, therefore not eaten, overall not bad, but could do better

The Gamekeepers Inn was ideal for a short family break in the Dales. The family room was clean, tidy and well equipped; it had two bedrooms with an internal door. It had two double beds, so not ideal for young children, although we did know at the time of booking. Breakfast choice was excellent but no children's menu for the evening meal. Free use of the adjacent Long Ashes Leisure Centre was excellent.

Groundkeepers Inn was a wonderful place to stay. Our room was very nice. The restaurant was a super place for breakfast and dinner, yummy. Try the carvery!! And a very Stocked bar, yay. My kudos to the staff. They were ALL fabulous. Shout outs to Tom and Khoki. Looking forward to a return visit.

Poorly equipped rooms-motel style

We chose this hotel due to the family room and excellent reviews. From start to finish, all members of staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was excellent - spacious, clean and extremely comfortable beds (even the pull out for our teenage daughter). We sampled a couple of the wines on offer, which were unexpectedly exceptional. The breakfast- wow! Variety of breakfast options available and probably the best hotel breakfast we have ever had! Didn’t get chance to sample the leisure facilities, but we’ll definitely try them when we return and we have more time. Thank you Gamekeepers for a wonderful stay.

Nice hotel, great rooms and helpful staff, in a lovely part of the country. The leisure centre is also fantastic

Our first time staying . Really lovely place. Room was perfect for us . Food was lovely, pool was great we all really enjoyed it. Staff were helpful . Will definitely be booking again.
4.6
Friendly staff, easy to park and check-in. The inn is in the centre of a large holiday lodge park which is not immediately apparent on the website, but you can easily see clearly on google maps. Our family room was above the bar, but was very well soundproofed and we were not disturbed by any noise. The pool facilities were great and again the staff were friendly. Overall I wasn’t wowed, but a pleasant place to stay.

Was very clean and decor good.

I lovely accommodation, great pub food was really nice. Large spacious room, could easily accommodate a larger bed but the double was comfortable. Set in lovey surroundings perfect location for heading our walking and viewing the dales
Pool and spa facilities were fantastic

We had 2 night stay didnt realise we had booked a caravan / lodge site thought it was next door not that it mattered. We stayed in the the pub . The room was freezing on arrival the window
was open and no heating on not happy. This was rectified and room warm later on from the bar. There was little room from the bottom of the bed and wardrobe and got a few bruises esp getting up to the loo on the night.
The wifi in the room was terrible!
The area was quiet and the food in the pub was amazing and drinks reasonable.
The pool was the reason we booked the gamekeepers just a bit disappointed it was closed on boxing day with shortened hours on bank hols but it was fabulous to use when opened.

From the photograph on the site it isn't clear that the Inn is part of a holiday complex, ie a site with static caravans and lodges. I thought I was booking a stay in a quiet Inn, however, when we arrived it was really busy, not what I expected at all for a romantic anniversary getaway.
Having said that the hosts were extremely welcoming and our room was away from the main part of the complex. It was very nicely decorated and tastefully furnished. The food in the restaurant was tasty, nicely cooked and presented. The portions were generous and the dishes were reasonabley priced. The service was good without being intrusive. Sadly our visit was cut short thanks to the great British weather, when all power to the Inn was cut overnight. There was only cereal and juice available as nothing could be cooked. There was no electricity to the rooms either, so we had to leave early which was a shame.
My only niggle with the room was how uncomfortable the pillows were. Only a small point but I did struggle to get comfortable enough to fall asleep.

Great experience staff very friendly
