Absolutely incredible hidden outback gem. The room is better than most I've stayed in recently, including in cities and hotels such as The Hilton. Great atmosphere, stunning bed and bathroom and great features such as private bbq, deck and sofa. I'll definitely be staying there again next time i travel through Broken Hill.

Beautiful setting with private balconies and spa bath.

Shower open with view to outback. Balcony to outback. Very nice setting. If you like ti go out to town not recommendable. Need to drive 15min with animals on road.
Beautiful room. Only big downside: pillows absolutely outdated and not worth lying your head in them. Need to be replaced.

Room is starting to show wear and tear, but I appreciate the difficulties provided by this dusty environment. The brown tap water didn’t inspire one to use the spa bath and the unreliable electricity supply was not ideal ! Otherwise it was very enjoyable.

Couldn't have picked a better place to stay for our 2 nights in Broken Hill. Loved every thing about it. Especially the spa at the end of a long day

Don’t be fooled by the glossy pics, this place is a RINO (Resort In Name Only). In truth it’s a caravan park with some fancy cabins out the back.
The problems include:
1) Inadequate after-hours contact. We had problems with a belligerent, abusive and entitled guest who thought his children could do whatever they liked noise-wise. We rang the afterhours number provided in guest information and got no answer. We couldn’t even leave a message because the message-bank was full. The unpleasant guest (apparently a friend of management) was so threatening we were a hare’s whisker away from calling the police.
2) Inadequate room service. Several days our supposedly deluxe room wasn’t serviced at all or done in a hurry. Towels weren’t changed, toilet not cleaned, bed not made, bathroom floor muddy. When we complained, the overworked office staff had to come, because the cleaning staff had gone home.
3) Inconsistent power supply. The power goes off 2 to 5 times each day, meaning that water doesn’t pump or heat and the internet is lost. The power reboots after about a minute, but this is not up to “resort” standard.
4) Poor internet service. WiFi is weak and the internet very slow, particularly at peak times.
5) Restaurant is average. The restaurant serves basic pub/caravan park food, but can’t pretend to be a “resort” experience.
6) Exhaust fan in bathroom was inadequate for the task of drawing moisture. The spa/shower stayed dangerously wet for 8 hours.

Overall very pleasant place to stay.
Spacious cabins which were very comfortable and clean. Good amenities (sink, microwave, fridge, bathroom). BBQ present but we didn't use it. Easy check-in/check-out. Easy parking.
Drawbacks:
- no infant cots
- location is about 10-20min drive from town, so not really able to quickly pop back if you forget to pack something for the day
- unable to contact Outback Resort by phone (cannot call through, no return call for messages left) or via Expedia messaging
- no phone reception with Optus or Telstra

Very pretty

Views from the cabin amazing and main draw card.
** mobile data non existent, wifi terrible and unable to connect**
Make not on your website, had I known I would not have access to mobile data/ phone/ wifi I would not have booked.
No communication from reception I emailed with questions in the months leading up to booking. No answer, no email with checkin details.
But the views 5*

This is the best place we have ever stayed. Good location, beautiful views. The king room was so awesome, great amenities, large room, awesome bathroom and spa, nice shampoo and soap, comfortable couch, the design is really awesome and would be good for long stays too. The staff were very friendly and the location is so awesome! We have stayed at places 4x the price amount and they weren't even half as good as this place. Thank you all!

The room was comfortable and pleasant.
The water was brown and couldn’t drink it.
Balcony/deck very dirty.
No activities whatsoever for kids. Pool table- ripped, staff unable to locate balls etc.
it is a bit of a stretch to call this a resort but it is a pleasant stay for adults.

The rooms were great, very modern and light. The bathroom is excellent and we like the small verandah.

Liked the view straight out to the bush/desert, and the deck.

A nice complex but a long way out of town.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. View from room was great.
Food in restaurant was excellent.
Only downside was they don't serve breakfast in off peak times. There is a fridge, microwave and BBQ thought - so can be prepared.

Was somewhat disappointed with this resort. It was over priced for what you got. For the value i would expected ironing board/iron and other small incidentals would have been appreciated. The fact that you park your car in front of unit it actually faces a work area/maintenance shop. Not a good look - need to put a fence in front of it as it really detracts from the so called ambience of the place. However the view from the back was okay - bush view along with rubbish...it should be checked out at least 2 or 3 times a week to ensure a so called pristine view. The only thing in its favour was the spa bath - nice but at the same time somewhat unsafe as one could have easily slipped and caused an injury.

It was a sensational set up. In remote outback yet 24 fabulous units they called cabins. Room on land for tents camper vans and caravans with a marvellous pub in the middle of all this. Christmas day and new years eve food was to die for. Pub open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Every day the cabins were serviced. It needs a pool which is coming in may. It's a fine yet rare set up and I loved it.

Great property out of town with stunning views from deck and spa bath. Book in a dinner at the Mount Gipp Hotel for some delicious classics.

Bring your own drinking water and insect spray, the water is muddy and the room is full of mozzies. The view from the bathroom and veranda is amazing, but while we were checking in later than promised, there were yellow water marks on the toilet seat. If you choose to eat in the restaurant, expect to wait for over a hour for your food.
The staff tried their best to make it a resort but really, it is a camping park.

Great spot,10ks outside town clean and comfortable with the hotel just beside the chalets where you can eat dinner and drink Note no breakfast served - you have to go into Broken Hill for that.
3.0
The housekeeping was very bad. Found used tissues in pillow case during the night. Not something you want to find in these covid times, or ever. No cover on spare pillow in wardrobe. Just lazy housekeeping.
Water in shower and bath very brown. Probably water source issue.

Stayed for 2 nights in cabin with a beautiful view

Fairly new business which is basically a caravan park with modern cabins. Only "complaint" is that it is 15kms from Broken Hill.
3.0
Beautiful vista from room, particularly the lightning show during the evening. The pub on site makes for the perfect package. No need for a "Plan B".

The resort is about a 15 minute drive out of town which suited us just perfectly. Remembering this is the outback, it is a little dusty which was to be expected. Our room was comfortable to say the least. The resorts restaurant is only a few steps away which has a great feed and plenty of drinks on offer. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I look forward to staying here once again on my next trip to Broken Hill.

It was a good trip, going back to the nature ...
Accomodation was good, probably the best you can find in the area ... It was clean and the bathtub was great to use after a long trip...
The only issue for me was a lack of mobile phones coverage in the area.

Lovely room, clean and tidy with a lovely bathroom. Really good verandah to sit out on with your drink and nibblies. Restaurant and bar on property which was great.
3.0
The spa cabin was nice with stunning views and a cosy interior. Resort amenities were pretty good. The noise from electric generator was a bit of a nuance. We have also found black hair all over the bathroom floor - cleanliness can be improved.

Outback property. Great views. Restaurant and bar on site. Well designed.

The Broken Hill Outback Resort is second to none. Exceptional accommodation, fantastic staff, who went above and beyond. I can not recommend BHOR enough! We will stay again

A rather unexpected find. Great private desert view from the bed and spa, and a functional kitchen space for constructing your dinner platter ;) a recommended stay
