Bell church tower gives you a hell of experience!

Rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful

There is a church bell tower right across the rooms that rings every 15 minutes, 2 loud dongs. Every 1 hour few dongs. At 10pm a couple of minutes of dongs. At 7am 5 minutes ( I am not joking, 5 minutes!) of ding dongs. Basically if you are ok to be able to sleep from 10pm to 7am the place is great.

It was clean. Bed was comfortable.

Had to tell the exact time of breakfast in advance. People walking by could see directly into the room. Staff not so friendly. After check-out, they did not accept storing luggage just for a few hours.

Decent room with great food

The location is perfect, which is like 15 minutes from Lucerne station by bus. The room is decent with all the basic needs. The restaurant is amazing with delicious food and very friendly staff.

Very nice restaurant and a good starting point for daily trips.

A really nice restaurant with a very friendly owner and staff.

The price of breakfast is a little bit steep for what you get (some bread, butter, jam, honey and a little bit of ham).

Lower cost end-a bit basic-free parking

Lucerne is a very expensive place. This hotel is at the lower cost end, so expectations have to be lowered. The hotel is a bit tired, but had free parking. Also free parking across the road and regular buses into town. Because the hotel has a restaurant, which seemed to be used by locals (a good sign), we were able to check-in late (around 9:30). Staff member was great. The only problem is the beautiful church next door.. the bells chime until 11pm and start again at 7am. Fine for us, but welcome to Switzerland!!

Very good

Staff were very kind and helpful. The place, although dated, was spotlessly clean and tidy. Lovely grassed area too. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel which guests can visit for lunch and dinner. Great quality food and handy as Meggen is a little bit out of Central Luzern. Nice, peaceful location near the lake. Some nice places to explore in Meggen too. Wifi was reliable. Bus stop very near to the accommodation. Easy to get to Luzern.

Breakfast was ok for us. Just bread and a croissant with spreads and coffee. Nothing wrong with the breakfast, but we felt it was very overpriced when compared to other hotels we visited in Switzerland which have a larger spread for the same, if not cheaper price.

Great value for money!

Clean,silent, ok size room. Location was great. It seems far from the old town however the hotel is very well connected to the city via Bus 24(every few min) Bus station was right in front of the hotel.

Hand towels were missing. I guess its a Switzerland thing as its the second hotel without...

Superb

Super ! Exactly halfway from Rome to Home,(nl) a surprisingly kind staff, ( girl on the terrace even spoke dutch), super tasty dinner In the garden. Quality-food, fresh-made. Room: not more than what you need. Slept well. Had to leave early next morning. Ira.

Early in the morning, heard the bell from the church nearby...was very hard & several times 😁

Lovely little place close to Luzern

Friendly restaurant with some very reasonably priced, convenient rooms attached. Lovely staff too.

Ok if you are just looking to pit stop and don’t require any facilities.

The rooms were clean and close together.

The bell tower was not advertised at time of booking, there were no facilities in the rooms to make a drink of any kind, no breakfast was received, staff gave the impression they they were to busy to accommodate any queries.

A basic stay a short distance from Luzern

The bed was very comfortable. The room is a good size and very clean, with the basic amenities you'd expect. The location was convenient for my trip, which is why I booked it. A nice Italian restaurant is also part of the hotel.

Couldn't adjust the heating and the room was quite warm. I tried opening the windows, but as the room is on the ground floor, with direct access to a terrace, there were other guests smoking just outside, and it smelled. I have stayed in Luzern in other hotels before, where I was offered a travel pass for the public transport of the city zone, which was not the case here. The hotel is next to a church bell tower, which rings every 15min between 7am and 10pm.

Great location and wonderful staff

Stunning location beside Lake Lucerne and was really easy to reach by car with easy parking too. The staff could not have been anymore friendly and helpful during our stay. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast also. Switzerland is an expensive country (not helped by GBP) at the moment and the prices being charged are in line with cost of living.
