Entspannter Urlaub mit Loftgefühl

Eine ansprechende Ferienwohnung, es ist fast alles vorhanden für eine entspannte Zeit. Großzügiges Raumgefühl. Wir waren im Herbst da, aber der kleine Außensitzplatz ist sicherlich zu wärmeren Zeiten toll. Zumindest haben wir dort einen Kaffee in der Sonne genießen können. Die Lage ist zentral und ruhig. Alles ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr zu empfehlen. Sie setzt jedoch eine gute Beweglichkeit voraus, dass es einige Stufen hochzusteigen gilt.

Wir haben die Kaffeemaschine vermisst. Es ist nur ein Kapselgerät vorhanden. Das hat uns nicht gefallen. Mülltrennung wäre schön gewesen. Und eine Decke wäre gerade im Herbst sehr schön gewesen, um sich gemütlich auf dem Sofa einzukuscheln.

Spacious, Charming, and Great Location

This place was amazing. Absolutely huge and spacious. A full kitchen, washer, dryer, and tons of room made this place a pleasure to return to after long days of sightseeing. It's a ten minute walk to the train station, and right in the middle of old town. The decor is charming and you get views of Thun castle on one side, and the old town on the other side. I could imagine living there!

Pleasant

staff was excellent. helped me with bags. he fixed the defect in shower. the apartment was prepared with alot of utilities.

the apartment was full of spider houses. i have phobia from spiders and the city seems to have alot of spiders. that could be fixed by cleaning the roof of apartment. i had 4 nights I didn't enjoy any night in sleep due to that. the cleaning of the apartment is superficial clean . as we had to clean our self the coffee machine and boiler as they were having oily material. the stairs were difficult at up and down and risky to fall. the price is high compared to provided services.

Superb

fantastic location right next to the thun castle and plaza major and about 8 mins walk from thun train station, beautiful apartment, excellent facilities for cooking, washing clothes etc. lovely views of the castle, nice seating area, very friendly staff

it’s on 2nd floor with Steep stairs and no lift - staff is of course very friendly and helps you with carrying luggage. Wi-Fi is a major problem. it works only in a certain area of the room and that too very weak signal which keeps disconnecting. all they’ll need is an extender and it will work fine. pillows are a bit too thin for my liking. beds are separate instead of a double bed, which is strangely the case across many places in Swiss and EU hotels.

Exceptional

Wonderful location in the old town with direct view of the castle. Very spacious and fantastic kitchen facilities and furnishings. Lovely staff who run a fabulous restaurant downstairs.

Superb

Beautiful apartment. Well appointed kitchen, easy to cook in. Loved having washer/dryer/dishwasher. Great view out back of the castle, and nice to have the multilevel outdoor courtyard to eat in. Central location.

Almost no wifi in the apartment. No curtains. Spiral stairs/unexpected steps/beams fine for us, but for clumsier or elderly people, beware.

Wonderful!

The overall experience was excellent, the apartment had everything we could possibly need for a 10 day stay! It had great positioning (very close to the city centre, organised parking facilities, supermarkets, shops, restaurants), hosts were able to answer our (few) questions promptly, furnishings were charming... Can't think of any downside! As a random example, when the iron turned out not be working, the hosts immediately went out and bought a new one!

Everything was great, there isn't really any downside to speak of! We even had WiFi in specific places inside the apt. even though the description mentioned there was none!

Modern apartment in the center

Spacious apartment with everything you need, including a washing machine. Under the eaves, with very high peak, lots of light. Access to a patio / garden out the back door. The garden is not well-kept, but it is still nice. The bed was comfortable. The shower and bath tub were great. There is a dishwasher. We cooked a couple of dinners and found basics of oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. The espresso machine worked and the hosts left us enough beans to get started. You should ask what kind of beans to get if you don’t know. We bought the wrong kind. The view out the front is of other rooftops and dormers. From the back you can see Schloss Thun, the castle. You can climb the steps through the back gardens to get to the castle. There are great views from up there. The hosts were friendly and helpful. They run the restaurant downstairs. If you arrive when the restaurant is open, you may need to find them in there to get in. Make sure to confirm your check-in time, as there is not always someone there to let you in.

There is a fair bit of noise that comes up from the street. This is a feature of staying in the center of town where there are bars and restaurants open late. The weather was warm, so we needed to have the windows open. My husband had a hard time falling asleep due to the noise. I wear ear plugs and it did not bother me. No air conditioning. WiFi was weak or non-existent. We used cellular data to access the internet, but if you don’t have a plan with enough data it could be difficult. As many people have said, you need to be comfortable climbing 3 sets of spiral stairs every time you go in or out. We are about 60 and in reasonable shape, and did not find this too difficult, but don’t book if you are unsteady on your feet or don’t have the stamina.
