I recently stayed at this hotel for a wedding, and I was incredibly disappointed. The cleanliness of the hotel was poor—rooms and common areas lacked the attention to detail you’d expect. The service was equally underwhelming, with slow responses to even the simplest requests. While the food was acceptable, the overall experience was lacking, especially considering this was a wedding venue where service should be top-notch.
The bar was consistently out of basic ingredients, including mint, which meant no mojitos or similar drinks. For a hotel in a tourist area, this was shocking. I've traveled extensively across the Caribbean, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re looking for quality or reliability.

Service was seriously lacking! Villa was not prepped with utensils, plates, mugs etc for 6 guests. Took 2-3 hours to get food orders. Waited 1.5 hours for jerk chicken on the beach. Location of villa was convenient, beach was nice. No pool table as in images. It was off season, and very clear the B crew was on duty.

Jewel Grande Montego Bay is not an All Inclusive, at the steak restaurant we had to pay for the Lobster tail. The food choice was very limited. The other Hotels that i have been to everything that you eat is Free.

First, I was made to wait more than an hour and a 1/2 beyond check-in time for my room. I had to get a supervisor to resolve this issue. After some resistance, the supervisor agreed to allow me an extra hour and a 1/2 to check out on my final day.
The room was pleasant with a nice view; however, I was dismayed to learn that there was no microwave oven available. Moreover, I noticed condensation from the AC causing a constant drip of water from the ceiling which was clearly damaged from this problem. Hence, I had to always step over the puddle to avoid slipping on the water on the floor. Finally, the TV in the room did not work for most of my stay at the hotel.

The resort and staff were very nice and hospitable! Unfortunately my check-in was extremely delayed. After a long travel and a horrible experience at the airport, it would have been nice to be checked in on time, yet we waited over 2.5 hours for a room.

We were there during hurricane Beryl. We asked before we came if they had a generator. They said they did. Turns out their main generator wasn't working and the back up generator they brought in failed after about 12 hours. We didn't have power for two days. Didn't have hot water for two days. Then at the end of the second day the water itself was going out. They eventually moved us to a sister hotel that had a properly working generator and had no interruptions at at all. I understand it was an unprecedented storm. I just feel we were misled about how prepared they were or we likely would not have come. I will say that staff kept trying to make the best of it. They kept serving food and kept things running as best they could.

Great experience! I will return!! Staff was very friendly and the facilities were very clean. Everyone was eager to help when needed. I even lost my airpods and car key and security had it safe and sound. Parking was easy! The pool was great. The Jamaican curry goat tasted so good!!

Property is very close to the airport and it’s a nice and quiet hotel. Staff is very friendly and sevice is good. Overall experience is ok just the hotel is not in a very good condition, rooms look old and found roaches in closets.

The property was beautiful. Our stay was perfect. The room was the perfect size for our family of 5. Our butlers Denton and Aston were phenomenal. The oceanfront view was breathtaking. Breakfast every morning was delicious. The fact that the hotel has it's own private beach was wonderful for our kids and made it so convenient to relax while the kids enjoyed the water. We will be coming back!

This property is a bit outdated but still nice. Great family hotel for those who are looking for peace and quiet. The breakfast buffet, jerk chicken hut, and Steakhouse are by far the best food in the resort.
Seems like there were AC issues throughout the resort as another party from my group had AC issues as well.
This hotel is has a splash area for kids and big chess board to play.

Checked in July 21st. Nova was hospitable and professional.
Booked a spa service July 23rd and cancelled within minutes. Slender lady turquoise uniform just plain nasty attitude and horrible energy. Very unprofessional.

Latanya front desk nasty attitude did not acknowledge but instead looked me up and down. I eventually walked over and said good morning. She left without saying a word, went to the back to get someone else to process my transaction. Had the nerve to ask me this morning upon checkout, how was my experience. Nickeisha, Jason and Tanesha in the main dining room for breakfast always pleasant and hospitable. The male staff for the most part hospitable and pleasant. The female staff for the most part unpleasant.
Claudette in housekeeping always wonderful after cleaning came back to fresh towels. She was off for two days, whomever cleaned left no towels/washcloths. Missed the bus to the airport this morning because I had to wait for towels and washcloths. After I had already paid for round trip airport transportation in my package, had to pay extra for a taxi.
Stayed at S Hotel and had a great experience with the staff. Jewel Grande was extremely disappointed with the level customer service especially at The Spa and the front desk. Would never visit this resort again.

The customer service was great, especially following Hurricane Beryl. Everyone was attentive and professional. It's unfortunate that the backup generators and other systems weren't efficient enough to withstand the inclement weather like the resort next door. We eventually moved to the resort next door due to not having power and water for 2 days following the storm.

Pros- The staff was great, super kind, friendly and willing to help guests. The beach was nice. Seaweed was picked up in the morning so wasn’t a problem. The food was excellent, especially at the restaurant Waves. This is rare at an all inclusive and I’ve been to at least a dozen.
Cons- the rooms were outdated. The first room I was in, the pull out couch didn’t work (which we needed) and the music was loud. (It did stop around 10pm) but this was still troublesome as I have an infant. The next day I asked for a different room in a different building, which the hotel did accommodate. Unfortunately, this room was worse. It was right above where the entertainment was, the tub didn’t drain well, the pull out couch didn’t have a mattress, the rooms were just old.
Now to the most interesting part of the whole trip. Hurricane Beryl hit. The staff was amazing in helping everyone that day, I am truly appreciative of that. That night unfortunately, the whole resort lost power. The generator did not work either. We were on the 6th floor which meant I had to continuously walk up 6 flights of stairs with my infant and stroller due to no elevators working. Also, no air conditioning, no lights, it was extremely hot and muggy in the room where my family couldn’t even sleep properly. There were bugs in the bed, bugs in the tub. The next day the toilet wouldn’t flush, and the water was extremely low in the sink/shower. It was almost 2 days of no electricity so we ended up going elsewhere.

We usually prefer to stay at Adult only resorts but when I saw a IG post about a family who stayed at the resort it was so nice.
I booked the junior ocean front suite for my husband and I, it was more than I expected. The restaurant options was great, staff was always helpful and pleasant. Do to bad weather we arrived a day late so we wasn't able to do everything planned but we have already decided to plan a family vacation so that everyone can get to enjoy the property.

The property is very OLD NEED RENOVATIONs , they limit the food all the time , Horribleeeeeee, at 9:30 they closet all the restaurants and only is open room service , that you made an order and in 3 hours later they bring the food , Horribleeeee with the food ,I was think I was in Cuba not in Jamaica !!!!
They don't have a Buffet at night , all the restaurants have to be with a reservation and they do not advice you , never .
When I made the reservation they closet that day the restaurant , incredible with the food horrible.
In the buffett at breakfast to many peoples inside , so you have to wait a long line to eat !!!! The pool bar close too early , please we are on vacation , that's not a military time , we paid for vacations not to follow ridicules rules !!!!
NO SHOW to see no diversion for a people , NO Music at any place , all the places are very silenced nothing to relax to ear , I was in 2010 in Jamaica in another hotel and was wonderful , now I take this one because they sales the hotel how 5 start , that's not true, AHH also they DON'T HAVE A INTERNATIONAL FOOD. ONLY JAMAICAN FOOD.

We had to wait about an hour for the room to be ready and we were extremely tired from the flight to get there. Beside the wait everything was wonderful.

The lobby in building A had a bad oder from the day we checked in. The corridor leading to our room on the 6th floor was durty from the day we checked iin. Our towels smelt burnt. The food overall was not bad but few choices. Personally the marriage of starta and all inclusive is a bad one. The property lacks recreational facilities and feels crammed.

Positives: The Jamaican food was anazing. Steakhouse was also good. The views from the oceanfront 1bdrm is amazing. The history of Jamaican music dance show was also really good.
Negatives: Beach isn't swimmable. We paid a driver to take us to another beach because the hotel beach has a lot of grass and just about every step in the water feels like your walking on concrete. Restrooms are too far from the actual beach (up two flights of stairs). All- inclusive did not include premium liquor. Stay away from villa #7 and #8 if you want a quiet vacation as these villas sit in between two pools, a few restaurants, and the daily evening entertainment so it gets loud.
