Had a very enjoyable stay at the Hale Seymour Lake Lodge over the Thanksgiving holiday! If you like to dial back in time to a historical location, relax and just enjoy this beautiful, and peaceful location, then this might be for you!

Historic inn not too far from many areas in Northeast kingdom.

Old school lodge. Friendly proprietor. Great coffee in the morning

Great view! Unique place, didn't know we had a shared bathroom. Probably wont go again.

Rob was a very kind man. The house was built in 1871, with some upgrades done to it, so a country home feel. Plenty of outside seating on 3/4 acre. It was right across the street from the lake. Our unit was an apartment that was attached. Very comfortable beds. It was a wonderful stay. Fyi: there is a cemetery a block away that had the stone of samuel elliott. He died in 1855 at 91 years old. It said "a revolutionary soldier". That was cool! Some very old stones. We enjoyed our stay and recommend it.

Drove up the state in a pretty bad storm and arrived at the inn with no power. Regardless of no power we had an amazing time! There was efforts in the morning to get coffee and breakfast made even without the power. As we were leaving the owner showed up and was very friendly! They really care about their guests

the welcome was good. The staff was nice. Breakfast not much choice. the view of the lake was magnificent.
the price was too expensive compared to the condition of the lodge.

It was a great stay! The man who lives on the property greeted us, showed us around, told us about breakfast in the morning and shared some history about the lodge. The lodge has a great view of the lake and we chose the room with the balcony so it was fantastic being able to go out and just sit and enjoy the view. The weather wasn't the greatest but nevertheless it was a great trip. The only thing that would have made it better was if the bed didn't squeak so bad and no matter how many times we tried to stay on our own sides of the bed, we kept sliding into the middle.

Really charming place, really friendly host. Right near a beautiful lake, with lots of room to sit on the porch. A little warm upstairs in July, but we had a fan & a sliding door to let cooler air in at night.

My family and I had an amazing two night stay this weekend! The owner JP was friendly and kind and the property manager Ron was very kind! He was knowledgeable and helpful!
We had a great time and will definitely be back!

It was like staying at a grandparents house. Lots of antiques. The porch was very pleasant and relaxing. The scenery was also great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Our stay was great. No one expected a heat wave in June, so no air conditioner made sleeping a little tougher. But the relaxing atmosphere, view of the lake, and warm downhome hospitality made up for that. We will definitely be back.

This was an amazing place to stay. Man taking care of the lodge was super friendly and quickly showed us our room. The atmosphere of the lodge was spectacular and they have beautiful antiques all around. Our room had a balcony that gave us the perfect view of the lake. If you’re ever in this area I highly recommend staying here.

I wasn't sure what to expect of the Seymour Lake Lodge when I booked it on Hotels.com. Was I pleasantly surprised! It is an old converted farmhouse, with tons of character, and all the modern conveniences. The room was adequate and comfortable, the view of the lake was stunning, both from my room, and the large front porch! A huge yard for walking my dog. Had lengthy conversations with the property manager and another guest. One of my most memorable stays.

Cute, cozy, clean! This house was adorable with views over the lake. Kind proprietor and location convient both to Canadian border and a town nearby with grocery and restaurants.

Clean and friendly. Very welcoming.

It reminded me very much of when I used to stay at my Grandparents house in the 70's. my only complaint would be that the room was very small and tight and that the second bed in the room was horrible, the springs almost come up thru it. that said if i was looking for a place to stay on the lake at a reasonable price i might go back.

Clean Inn, good bed. Awesome location. Will go back in summer to kayak on the lake.

This is a perfect getaway lodge for those looking for a more nature-based vacation. Stayed at the room with the queen sized bed and private bathroom. Room was clean and cozy. Bathroom very spacious. Only downside with the bathroom sink is that it takes a while to drain after using. Continental breakfast available in the mornings.
Location wise, the lodge is about 28 minutes from Lake Willoughby and about an hour from the major cities such as Stowe and Newport. Beautiful scenic lake view that compliments the overall aura.
Overall, I recommend this place for those looking for a Fall Getaway. It really does live up to its name of #1 Vacation Spot in Vermont :) Would stay here again!

My bed was a little saggy, but the covers were nice.

Seymour lodge is a very cozy place to stay - it is right next to the lake and you can watch the sunrise/sunset while enjoying the fall foliage!
