A very sweet, clean home in a great part of Vermont. Truly in the middle of the woods. Lots to explore. Craftsbury is a charming blink-and-you'll-miss-it town with an excellent general store (The Genny). Hill Farmstead Brewery has incredible beer; sit out and enjoy. Swimming in Caspian Lake to cool off. John is an available and communicative host. Am hoping someone will get back to me about the jeans I accidentally left behind but no biggie if not. Definitely a special place from which to explore the NorthEast Kingdom!

Peaceful, private location. Visited family in the area as well as Lake Willoughby, Owls Head Summit, The Genny, Willeys. A short drive away is Parker Pie for casual dinner and the quaint Busy Bee for breakfast. Cottage was well equipped to cook if preferred. Shop Pete's Greens for fresh organic veggies and misc items. Good communication with our host John.

We had to miss our vacation due to a family emergency.
We look forward to staying at our host's retreat next year.
Thanks,

Tucked away in the rural kingdom is this sweet little cottage that provides the seclusion and getaway into nature that we were looking for. With the provided amenities and short distance to a few restaurants it was the perfect place to nestle in and enjoy a cabin in the woods.

My son and I stayed two nights for some riding at the outdoor center. The cabin is comfortable, with AC, a nice new gas grill, and a decent kitchen. Also right by Hill Farmstead Brewery :-)

Had a great stay, it's a cute and comfy cottage. I saw the most incredible rainbow I've ever seen in the field across the street, was the icing on the cake of a great little vacation!

My husband and I had a relaxing trip with our old dog. We went to Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury, about 50 minutes away. We also had a nice short hike at Lake Willoughby. The host was responsive about our arrival and directions. We had no trouble finding the place.
The Genny in Craftsbury has just about everything you need, with super nice people and hot coffee in the mornings. The Willey's Store also had way more than you expect. Both were worth the trip (we got a steal on a gallon of maple syrup at Willey's!). It was raining for a bit of our stay so we didn't get out as much as we'd hoped, but it was a great visit to Vermont.

Not much going on, but great relaxing time with an old dog. Interesting original artwork in a cozy country/mountain home. So dark and quiet at night.

We loved having an equipped kitchen to make meals. If you have sensitive allergies to pet hair, watch out. There was dog hair on the carpet and furniture. We would definitively stay here again though! The hosts were very responsive.

The host left us some coffee and bottled water for our stay as stores are a fair driving distance. We loved the cottage and would return.

This was a great place and reasonable priced. It has ample room with a nice loft. Just be careful using google map, it took us to a different property about 2 miles farther down the road. If you’re looking for a nice quiet getaway with beautiful surroundings, this is your place.

Highly recommend this lovely, cozy yet spacious, well-equipped cottage! We planned to spend our anniversary weekend hiking, but it rained all weekend, and we had a great time cooking, relaxing, and exploring the area. Our stay was even better than expected!

This cottage is wonderful. It is located in a quiet rural area. The road leading to the cottage offers a beautiful view of the valley and amazing sunsets. The cottage has everything you need. We had 4 adults there with no problems as far as room and sleeping space. If you’re looking for a great quiet place to spend some quality time this is it.

My stay at the Sunset cottage was absolutely wonderful. Upon my arrival the hosts checked in with me via phone and made sure that I had everything I needed. The days ranged from quite cool to extremely warm in my time there, and I was well prepared for both with both AC and a propane heater available! What funny art and such a lovely place to retreat- no frills but exactly what the doctor ordered.

We were in town for a wedding and spent two nights at "Sunset Cottage." It is exactly as described; a small, clean, comfortable cottage. The wifi was good, the house was clean, and the location was good. We mostly just slept at the house so didn't use the kitchen/appliances (other than coffee maker) or the outdoor grill, etc., but they all looked great. Could be a nice place to hang out and relax; comes stocked with board games, books, etc.; we just didn't use any.
The only comment - follow the directions you get from the host in your email to get to the house! We initially only entered the address into Google Maps and it defaulted to "Craftsbury", but the house is in "Craftsbury Common", so it directed us a few miles up the road to the wrong spot! But the directions in the email are exactly right.
