Very disappointed with this property. On arrival I had to spend the first hour cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and hoovered the stairs.
It had quite clearly not been cleaned since the previous occupants…there was caked on poo in the toilet bowl.
The neighbours clearly have an issue with the fact that this property is being rented out.
We had been out all day on the Saturday and returned at 1700 hours,,,at 1730 hours our small dog barked once…& within seconds the next door neighbour was banging on the front door shouting at us and telling us that she had repeatedly reported it to the authorities that dogs were barking in this holiday rental?! I messaged the owner of this property about this however he completely ignored me!! Totally ruined our holiday to be honest…complete waste of money!!

Really handy for all the amenities of Kingsbridge. Nice little cottage, stairs perhaps a challenge for older folk like us. Car parking was good considering the snugness of the location.

Cottage was a very good base for exploring places in Dartmouth. Clean and tidy cottage. Cottage itself had everything we needed.
However the cottage could've done with a bit of a make over. Pictures on walls. End of bath. Bedlinen . Bed was comfortable.
There was a little hole in the window in the bathroom. Also when you got in the shower you overlooked a public footpath.
Overall we enjoyed our stay

Excellent in every respect
The cottage was exemplary in every way with regard to fittings. The location could not have better for the quay and local pubs and restaurants. The bus stop perfectly located o few minutes away for a while host of dstinations. We would highly recommend to all our friends.

Family get together
The property was small but perfectly formed! It was spotlessly clean with plenty of sanitizer and cleaning products. The position of the cottage was great, walking distance of all Kingsbridge facilities. Following days at the beach it was a pleasure to come back to our little, cosy bolt hole!

An excellent Kingsbridge Cottage for two
It looked nice in the photos, and that's because it IS . Well furnished and comfortable, good heating and WiFi, close to the centre and lots of places to eat, this place was just what I needed. Good communication from the landlord, no hassles at all. Recommended!

Lovely cottage, central location
Gardeners Cottage is lovely, perfect for a couple. It's small but clean, well equipped and comfortable. The bed was comfy and the bathroom surprisingly large.
We did not manage to park outside the cottage but it's fine to pull up outside to load and unload the car. There is a secure parking place reserved for the cottage a very short walk away which is very easy to find and very convenient.
The cottage is located just a short distance from the main High Street and harbour area. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs close by, within a couple of minutes walk. This does make the area quite busy with cars and people passing by, but fabulous for going out for a meal or a drink in the evening. No need for a designated driver or a taxi!!
The harbour area is very pretty and the river trip down to Salcombe well worth doing. Kingsbridge has lots of lovely independent shops along the High Street so it is interesting browsing up and down as it's so different from the usual town centre.
We really enjoyed our visit to SouthDevon and will definitely be back.

A lovely cosy cottage for 2 in the heart of Kingsbridge, clean, well equipped and steeped in history
We stayed at Gardeners Cottage in the middle of September with our dog and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved being in the heart of the town which has so much to offer. Everything is in easy reach: beautiful beaches (South Milton Sands is a must), National Trust properties, Dartmoor. We took the bus to Dartmouth (lovely route along the coast). We also visited Hope Cove - one of our favourite places. It was lovely coming home to Gardeners Cottage after a day out. We will be returning soon. Thank you Mike.

Cosy cottage
Comfortable and everything to hand. Well positioned for town, short drives to countryside and beaches. Small but sunny area out the back. Loved it.
4.7
Lovely spot with good eating and drinking places nearby, very good beaches all with in a 15 miles
Lovely little cottage for two people, good shower and all the amenities although we don't use the oven as we spent a great week exploring the local area.

We loved this little cottage
This is a two up two down Victorian cottage , fully equipped to a high standard. It is in a central location, very close to dog friendly pubs and several takeaways. There are good parking arrangements for guests staying at the cottage . Mike the owner is great and from booking to meeting him at the cottage he made sure everything ran smoothly.
We had a lovely stay , the only small criticism we would make is that the picture showing the area in front of the cottage is a bit flattering..... it is actually a bit scruffy and the grass area small and not mown . Sure this is out of Mike’s control .
We would certainly recommend this cottage to couples with a dog as the walking on the south west coastal path is so accessible.
