The location is really nice if you are wanting to say in Kappa. The beach is super close and the pool and hot tub are cute but small. The nearby restaurants are okay and there are alot of cute little shops if you like to go shopping within walking distance.
The condo itself is definitely dated which is totally fine. It is clean but it has a musty smell to it that really bothered me. Overall it is a great affordable place to stay. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is large and it’s in a great location. If you are looking for something that feels luxurious, this is definitely not that place.

Patio door was jammed so I couldn't use it. Air conditioner was broken so I had no A/C for first two days. No hot water in bathroom and kitchen sink. The floor was so dirty that walking from the bathroom to bed resulted in dirty feet. The drapes and blackout shade were rotted and one could see the sun shine through them. The decor was about 40 years old and was not as advertised. The place was so awful that we rearranged our air reservations and left a day early. I requested a refund for the day we missed and a substantial discount and partial refund for the 2 nights we stayed. I received no answer yet. The only redeeming value was that the agent at the 800 number was responsive but always was referring problems to the "local team" which was incompetent or in their other world. If I do not receive a refund, I shall report this on social media. I also have some attorney friends that will
make you wish that you had refunded the money for my stay. I am almost 84 years old and have never stayed at such a dump in my whole life. During my college years,
I stayed at some YMCA's and they were better than this.
Please let me know the status of my refund immediately.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was easy to get to the places we wanted to go to. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. We loved just walking a few steps to the ocean.

This is one room with all the little amenities you would need. The bed and foldout bed were extremely comfortable. I would recommend to a couple. Or in our case, me and my two daughters. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spot in KaPaa with us. 🌸🙏🏼🌺

Just steps to the ocean, excellent coffee shop and restaurant next door! + yoga by the beach nearby!

The sliding door became very difficult to open during our stay. Could be a safety issue ; a/c filter on patio needs maintenance. Lots of lint and dust; inside ac would deposit black “lint” onto couch about once a day; need sponge for kitchen cleaning; goodies (chocolate, granola, granola bar) were very nice; extra towels for bath, pool and kitchen were appreciated. Coffee maker, coffee and filters were appreciated as well as extra pt and tp. Dishware, toaster and microwave were great! Beach chairs and cooler were great! Could walk right out the door across the grass to the pool and jot tub. Great patio for coffee and meals.

A few things went wrong but solved easily, had to buy an electric pan for cooking, had to leave it there, overall nice stay in beautiful Kauai

The property is in a great location. Mainly just couples or newlyweds, not many families. The pool and ocean are steps away, which is awesome. Easy drives to various beaches or waterfalls. The Coconut Market was convenient but the grocery store is super expensive. Drive a mile down the road to the Safeway if you want better options and savings. The unit was good for our needs. The only issues were that the floor was pretty dirty with hair and grumbs not swept/mopped up (pretty gross), the sliding door is ridiculous to open/close, the pillows are horrible, and you can hear people through the walls easily or walking around above. Overall we enjoyed our time and would stay at this complex again.

This was a great location. You can’t see the ocean while laying in bed but you can from sitting on the bed or standing at the sliding glass back door. (You could also see the pool, hot tub and small tiki-type bar.) I would guess the ocean was maybe 150 yards away. Room was nice: king size bed, love seat, small table with 2 chairs, mini-fridge (no freezer, but got really cold), microwave, toaster, coffee maker and small sink. I think the TV was run with a Roku player. It seemed to have a subscription to Spectrum and you could log onto other sites with your own credentials. The grounds were well maintained and there was an ice machine 50’ away. The beach was only 20’ deep or so and had some incline to it but it ran as far as the eye could see to the north and south. The waves were high enough that I would not swim in it, but we saw several people swimming without issues.
We had a small service issue and they sent someone to fix it within a few hours. The only somewhat issue I had was not being able to feel like I understood the thermostat for the mini-split. The room stayed plenty cold, though, if I pushed enough buttons.
There are a couple of eating places as well as an excursion place right off the parking lot. The property backed up to Coconut Marketplace with several stores, a few restaurants and a few “events” (hula show, farmer’s market, etc) scheduled. We ate at a Chicken N Barrel a few times and got shaved ice a couple of times.
We were able to drive to

Over all the property was good. the condo inside could use new curtains, new mattress on bed that is more comfortable, was too soft. especially if you have a bad back. The floor should have been scrubbed better. When we dropped something on the floor near the sink, and then cleaned it up the paper towel was really dirty, so therefore the floors were not cleaned properly. Had to call Vacassa to get a maintenance guy to fix the sliding glass door the first day, then it was fine. the furniture outside was nice but too hard to sit on so therefore we had to sit on pillows.

Great central location! Grounds were immaculately kept and right next to the ocean. Immediate access to shopping and restaurants. Condo was clean and well kept with personalized welcome and gifts. Only minor problems we had were not having access to laundry and our key locker wouldn’t open properly. Otherwise it was perfect!

The process was very streamlined and straightforward - fantastic location, people at the resort were very kind and friendly.
Would definitely come back again. Excellent family vacation!

This place worked perfectly in conjunction with another 2-bedroom condo our family had with full kitchen, laundry and such. This one has microwave and fridge only. Great property, right on the ocean. Amazing sunrises and near shopping and restaurant amenities. They also took great care of us when we called with a request. Thank you!!

Stayed here for a week. Location is GREAT! Close to shopping and attractions. Room is very comfortable and the host is very accomodating. Property is well maintained, and gorgeous! altho the pool/spa were closed for maintenance. Would stay again next time we visit.

We loved that the condo was near the beach for nightly sunsets. The condo was simply perfect for our needs. It was spotless and included lots of pots, pans & beach chairs, etc. We simply had the best time and loved how close we were to the pool. My only complaint is that the management company would not allow VRBO guest to use the laundromat. We walked to places to eat & purchase groceries.

Overall I was very pleased with Unit 142. We did have issues with the sliding doors which are crucial; on the 3rd day a maintenance man was able to fix. No TV issues as some have mentioned. The unit was cute, clean and very convenient to the pool, beach and numerous restaurant options which is key since the `kitchen` is just a microwave, toaster, small frig, coffeemaker and blender. You do have use of the property grills so you are able to cook but we loved the restaurants that were all within walking distance. We loved having our morning coffee and evening cocktails on the lanai and there is a pool bar open at 3pm every day if you`re looking for that experience. I was pleasantly surprised by everything and would recommend for any couple looking for a central location and a great deal.

My beautiful wife and sister in law planned our beautiful 8 day vacay in amazing Kauai. From the studio condo just steps to the pool and ocean to all the memories made on the well planned excursions and events. The condo was perfect for our stay...restaurants, shopping, grocery store and centrally located for all the island 🏝 to enjoy. I highly recommend staying here and you too can see it all for yourself. Aloha and enjoy! 🤟🏼🤩

This place is an awesome stay in Kauai! Lava lava beach club right next door is also an amazing place to hang out by the beach and enjoy the scenery! This place has a small kitchenette with a toaster, microwave and fridge. They also provide chairs, umbrella and one set of snorkel equipment. The bed is comfy and it’s close to stores. We did text the on island contact about TV issues with no response back so that was frustrating but overall, it was a good stay!

This place is PERFECT! The location, view, ambiance, everything!! They had all the necessities for the beach, a small kitchenette area, a book left with hand written notes giving you details of some of their favorite places on the island! You can’t go wrong choosing this place! Check in and check out we’re so easy! Thank you for making our stay so memorable!! We hope to share with others and use it again!!

Amazing location. Room was a nice size. Close to the beach. Loved the chickens on site running around. Housekeeping cost $30 though for new towels/sheets. Only negative.

Islander on the Beach is a great resort in a perfect location if you are planning to visit the East, South and West of Kauai. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the on-site bar in the evenings. Easy walk to groceries, coffee, etc. Note that parking can be challenging if you come in late. The condo was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The beach chairs and towels were very appreciated. A couple things we found were missing and that could easily be added are a kettle to boil water and simple pantry items like salt/pepper. Also beware the water in the shower can get to a scalding hot temperature, hot enough that I burned my hand.

The property and location of the unit were good. As soon as we checked in, we had problems with the TV and the clock radio did not remote! We called the on island agent and she came over and tried to fix the TV. She said the maintenance man would come by the next day. He did and did not fix the problem. We were not there to watch TV but I was on the island to have surgery and needed time to recuperate and thought that TV would be helpful. Then the glass door and screen door got stuck and the maintenance man came by and fixed the glass door but not the screen door. So the condo is not well maintained but it was clean. The agent did try to help us with our problems but that took we were disappointed having to deal with these issues. I believe that the owner of the condo should know about these issues.

This was a very expensive rental. It was a great location and view. I didn’t realize that there was no elevator so my daughter who is over five months pregnant and me at age 74 were faced with carrying very heavy suitcases. Laundry services were not available as a VRBO guest. Also, there was no freezer to keep ice or anything frozen. It was a magical place by the sea and although we didn’t see the parking space until the end of our stay it was very helpful when we were leaving. The apartment was clean and the lanai was great.

What a great apartment and lovely resort. The unit was perfect for three people with a separate bedroom, separate access to bathroom and balcony from both bedroom and living room with beautiful view of pool and ocean from the large Lenai. Great hottub and good internet. Kitchen was well stocked and we were able to fix all meals during our stay in it. Aircon worked well. Although a bit pricey, like everything else on Kauai, it was by far the best deal I could find anywhere on the island and I looked over the course of 8 months on every imagineable website. Checkin and out were incredibly easy. My only very minor complaint was that despite booking for three people the sofa bed was not prepared. We did not need to contact the property manager, but were required to rate this to submit review thus gave an intermediate (neutral) rating. In any case, I highly recommend this lovely apartment to anyone going to Kauai with a party of up to four people. I would definitely stay there again.
