lovely room but poor location

lovely rooms and very clean

location was about 1 hour walk from town and the walk is all on roads no paths and the swimming pool is in the shade all day so it is freezing cold.

Super Preis-Leistungs-Unterkunft in ruhiger Lage. Sehr geräumige Zimmer und das Bett war riesig und sehr bequem! Ausstattung alles in allem mehr als ausreichend mit kleinem Kühlschrank, Kästen, Schreibtisch und Fernseher! Eigener Router im Zimmer somit sehr gutes WLAN!

Leider etwas weit außerhalb, mit einem Roller oder Auto aber absolut kein Problem, knapp 15 Minuten Fahrzeit ins Zentrum!

The most rude Thai person I have ever met in 2 years of living in Thailand

Rooms are nice, location is not good but you can see that by looking at maps, no need for a review. The bonus of location - quiet.

The most horrible and unhelpful staff. On the check in day Sunday the staff asked me not to talk to text her since it's her holiday - super super fine, I had ZERO issues with that. We talked about me staying long term I asked to check in the next day, she said "ok, we talk tomorrow". The next day, without informing me, without telling me anything like "Oh, just so you know, come early in the morning, since I might give the booking to someone else" - no pre-warnings at all, I had no idea that I was supposed to be in a rush/compete with other tenants, by the time I woke up (11 am) rented the room to someone else. Then spent 6 hours arguing on whatsapp/line that there was no issue, that she made no mistake and that the room I booked on booking.com for 2 months is only daily rent (even though I booked 2 months). Super not clear who is the owner of anything, what roles staff have.

The room was beautiful and amazing. But…

Bad location. Common areas are not clean. The gym is a joke. The WiFi was slow. Water pressure also joke. Check in is also not available all the time of the day.

Nice modern room in tranquil area on the outskirts

The building is beautiful and the rooms are modern and nicely furnished. The area is quite tranquil and peaceful. Chiang Mai 89 Plaza is accessible within 5 minutes if you’re motorised, 20 if you’re walking.

The wifi was too weak to work with so I had to buy extra data and hotspot my laptop. The cleaning staff is nice and polite but not the most efficient. Common areas were often a bit dirty, I have noticed stains on sheets or towels a couple of times, as well as what looked like dried bird poop on the drying racks in the laundry area. You might love or hate the location. It’s a very tranquil area that has a rural feel to it in parts, but it is also quite far from the old town and there isn’t much you can easily access on foot.

Exceeded expectations

Everything, was very happily surprised. It's very new and clean, huge comfy bed, quiet, big pool. Just perfect, exceeded my expectations. The swimming pool is cold, because all day in the shade, water must be very clean and little chlorine (maybe salt filter?) As the birds drink from it. Some people prefer sun, most Thai people prefer shade i think 🙂.

Pleasant

Comfortable large bed. Smoking allowed on balcony. TV worked well.

Location was the middle of nowhere. No restaurants or even 7 11 nearby. Had to hire a car to go anywhere. Key deposit is ridiculous and difficult to get back for an early morning flight. I had to find someone and then wait for them to find the key money. They refused to return it the night before.
