The property was beautiful and as advertised and the property manager was super helpful, communicating with me every step of the check in process and throughout when I had questions.
8.0 / 10.0
The apartment was really lovely with a nice balcony and one ample bedroom. The second ‘bedroom’, where our 17 year old stayed, was abut the size of a twin bed and had no ventilation. It was fine for one night but not ideal. The problem lies with issues beyond the control of the owner and I hate to mention it here and downgrade the rating, but feel obligated to share with possible renters the fentanyl crisis has landed in Vancouver, and this apartment is in the epicenter. I say this as a Portlander, no stranger to homelessness and the ravages of fentanyl.
It was bad enough that we took an Uber home from a restaurant rather than walking the seven minutes’ trip to avoid literally dozens of street sleepers in the throes of extreme human misery, and dealers circling on bicycles like vultures. Really sad.

This place was excellent for the couple of nights we needed it. Easy walking distance to Roger’s Arena with a grocery store, coffee shop and different food options all within one block.

Great property- nicely furnished and well kept.
Gets hot in summer from big windows over nice city scape view

Adorable one bedroom, very clean. Slept very well, easy to walk to restaurants or market. Also an easy taxi/Uber to the cruise dock or float plane dock.
Best of all host is quick to answer questions and provide recommendations. Host also assisted us with storing luggage before checking in because of our crazy flight schedule. Very much appreciated!

Clean and great spot with easy access to downtown and transportation. Was very hot until we opened windows and had fans going. A little surprized with the closet bedroom.

Our stay at Ruby’s Vancouver flat (just minutes away from port) before a cruise was absolutely fantastic. She gave exceptionally detailed directions for every single step of the stay, from check-in to check-out. When our train was delayed she remained awake in order to ensure we had room access, and was exceptionally communicative. The apartment is well-appointed and quite lovely. The secret bedroom off the kitchen was a great place for our teen to land for our stay. Views of the city are fantastic, and the balcony is the perfect place to eat breakfast before checking out the city. Nearby amenities (grocery, train access) make this a can’t-miss place to stay.

My wife and I were looking forward to a romantic four days in Vancouver. The listing doesn't accurately capture the reality we experienced. BE AWARE, the neighborhood is ridden with drug-impaired and homeless folks roaming the streets and camping near the property entrance. Livingston Park, the "nature in close proximity" described in the listing, has been taken over by addicts and is unsuitable for enjoying nature, let alone walking your dog. From the property's lobby, we could see makeshift tents. Across the street, the Rexall Drug had windows boarded up from being busted. The "city views from every room" provides a bird's eye view of the dystopia below.
After the first night, we decided to leave. We messaged the host to let her know we would depart and requested a refund for the remaining three nights. The host stated that homeless folks are "everywhere" and suggested we "give the place another night" because "as the policy states, there are no refunds available." After returning from breakfast only to find paramedics treating a drug victim directly behind our vehicle and human feces on the sidewalk, we would not stay a second night.
After touring the city we realized the apartment is in one of the worst downtown neighborhoods. There are numerous less-priced dog-friendly four-star hotels with air conditioning in better neighborhoods. Overall, the apartment is adequate but overpriced given its location, 3-star furnishings and linens.

Nice option for our quick overnight stay in Vancouver. Walkable to the Canada Place cruise terminal. Clean and cozy with wonderful city views from the covered balcony. The in-unit washing machine was very convenient.

I would Recommend Rubys place if your staying downtown pretty good location and great place to stay

The property was very cute, clean, and had a beautiful view. We visited for a concert at Rogers Arena and found this to be a perfect location as it's right around the corner - a very easy walk. We also liked that this property came with a parking space. We were thankful that the building had security measures to get into the building as well as getting up to the apartment floor, considering the city was overrun with drug-addled people.

The apartment was clean. The detailed instructions the host gave us were very helpful. Great place to stay for one night. The other “bedroom” is just a converted closet. But is fine for a kid. Could have used some bigger fans, as there was no AC and only 2 very tiny night stand fans were provided. Could have used a couple extra towels, esp since there is a pool there. There were only 4 provided and we had 4 people. The towels were extremely small and had a strange smell to them. Overall the place is clean, accommodating and walking distance to a lot of places and I would stay there again. It was rather noisy outside at night but that is to be expected in downtown Vancouver. I brought earplugs and a sleeping mask to be prepared!

This place was a really great find. We spent three days in Vancouver and it was the perfect spot to wind down after a loaded two-week campervan trip. The location provides great access to the Gastown area and the apartment is really delightful, with great views of the city, a bit of water, and the mountains. It also has everything you need to feel comfortable for a longer stay, including a full kitchen, washer/dryer, good internet connection, etc. As is often the case, the "kid's" room feels like a bit of an afterthought (very small and no windows or deco to liven it up), but we were all thankful that our son didn't have to resort to sleeping on a pull-out sofa in the middle of everything, so no complaints!
The check-in process was a bit complex due to the security measures of the building, but Ruby did a good job of explaining everything in her communications. Her responses were also quick and friendly whenever we had any questions.
All in all, we recommend this place without reservation and wish future tenants a great stay!

This apartment worked for our needs, the shower handle was a bit finicky and only having one key was tough as we had three adults sometimes going different places.
2.0 / 10.0
We arrived after the check in time, had communicated our arrival time with the host, and the host was not reachable for almost an hour. After travelling for 15 hours, all we wanted was to get into the apartment. While we waited outside with all of our luggage in front of the building, we were surrounded by people shooting up drugs, passed out, or yelling and fighting. I have never felt so unsafe in my life. We finally gained access with the help of VRBO to be disappointed by an average apartment. for the price, I expected more - there was no AC, the kitchen pantry was converted to the 2nd bedroom and you couldn't open the door completely without hitting the bed, there was one folgers coffee pod for 3 people. There was open food left in the fridge from prior guests. We were kept up all night by yelling and police and ambulance sirens. Please do your homework on the neighborhood if you book this apartment and know what you are getting into - nothing about it was pleasent.

We stayed one night at Ruby's, prior to going on an Alaskan cruise out of Vancouver. The apartment was in a nice location, in walking distance to many restaurants and the park, and a short distance to the cruise terminal. The building was very secure and we felt very safe in it. The apartment was beautifully decorated and very clean. We felt right at home! The building has a nice outdoor garden area, indoor pool and workout room. The apartment had all of the amenities we could have needed. It was quite hot in Vancouver when we visited, so the one thing that we did wish we had was a ceiling fan in the bedroom. But otherwise, we had a great stay and we would stay here again!

Owner was open to me staying with kids which was ideal as it was my son’s birthday wish to watch a whitecaps game with friends for his birthday.
Really appreciate her accommodations and flexibility

It was such a lovely apartment to stay, near amenities and not too far from the train station. Everything I needed was there, such as coffee machine, cooking facilities and laundry facilities. Great communication with the owner meant easy entry to the property. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful views from the entire apartment, fantastic for concerts/sporting events at BC Place and Rogers Arena as you are walking distance. Ruby is very kinda and a generous host!

Nice and clean appartement. Very good access to transport, but I will not let my child play alone in the park next door. The kitchen is equipped with basics, the bathroom is very well équip.

The place was exactly as described. Pretty basic with no extras and not even towels put out. However, the location worked well for us and it was great to have the city views. It was as described and probably good value as Vancouver is very expensive.

We really enjoyed our stay at this well appointed, secure apartment with a lovely view towards the mountains. It had good access to public transportation and is within easy walking distance of Chinatown, Gastown and the harbor front. The host is exceptional; fast and very helpful communication and great recommendations for restaurants. We had a wonderful timeand would be happy to stay here again.

Our stay, here was all too short. The amenities, location, and communication was top-notch. We only spent one night here as a stop over and wish we had more time. The view of the city from the room was amazing as well, especially at night. If ever in Vancouver again, I will be saving this property to stay at.

Great hospitality and would recommend for anyone staying in Vancouver!

Great spot, great hostess! Just don't forget you need the fob to get down to the parking garage AND to get out of the parking garage. Also, the cot is really only big enough for a child or very small adult.

My family and I had a great time. It is minutes from B.C. Place and right near rail entrance. The little second room was perfect for my teenage daughter.
