Welcome to Cottage by the Caverns! A completely renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in the heart of Luray, Virginia. Your family and friends will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located cozy home.
THE LOCATION:

★ We provide one roll of TP in each bathroom, 2 towels for each bed, one paper towel roll, detergent pods for the dishwasher, and the basics for your showers!

★ Our goal with this home is to allow you to truly experience and enjoy all that Luray has to offer with a short distance to travel. This beautiful small town has a multitude of delicious eats and places to visit, and we wanted to provide a centrally located place for you to experience it all and have a cozy home base to escape to.
★ We have recommendations in our guest book provided and plenty of menus in the kitchen from local shops that we have enjoyed eating/ drinking at in Luray. Please let us know if you have any questions about the area while you’re there!

★ Our simple checkout process is just to give our cleaners a bit of an easier task. All we ask is to turn off lights, run the dishwasher/ wash any dishes, place the ac or heat back to the original setting if adjusted, lock all doors, move furniture back to where it was previously located if moved, and most of all drive safely.

This house had everything we needed for a quick getaway at Shenandoah NP. Nicely furnished, comfy beds, great backyard and front porch, quiet neighborhood. Ours was a small group, but this place would be great for up to three couples.

House was in a great location for our 3 day adventure in Shenandoah National Park. We are sunrise hikers so the backyard was the perfect place to relax in the afternoons. I would not hesitate to book this place again.

We drove to Luray from NC to do some touring of the area, and Cottage by the Caverns was wonderful! The house was the perfect size, decorated beautifully, and we absolutely loved the fire pit area! The location was perfect to hop over to the caverns, and the neighborhood itself was quiet, although the traffic got a bit noisy, at times. I would suggest bringing a noise machine, or playing fan sounds on your phone! Other than that, the house was exactly what we needed, and the communication with the owners was top notch! Tyler and Stephanie, thank you so much for everything! We enjoyed our stay so much!!!

Comfortable place to stay while we passed through the area to do some hiking. Clean and nice amenities for the short stay. There were indications of a hot tub in the listing, but there isn’t one.
I would recommend some type of curtain on the front door glass it gives a pretty full view of the inside at night.

My family and I stayed for a weekend and the house was wonderful. It has all the amenities we needed for the weekend visit. It was clean and tidy and we felt comfortable while we were there. The backyard was also really nice! The location was easy for us with our young family to get to everything we needed. Overall it was a great stay and we will likely stay there again!

Well kept home, everything you need in the kitchen, close to the Caverns. The host were wonderful, replied to any messages I sent very fast, only thing I would change about this house would be a blind or curtain in kitchen window and covering over the front glass door but that wouldn't stop me from renting this home again if I was to return to the area.

This house was perfect for our stay in Luray. It was very clean, well furnished and the home decor was very tasteful. The process of checking in was super easy and Tyler was a wonderful host! Super helpful with the property but also with any recommendations needed! Highly recommend.

Had a quick weekend stay in this well cleaned, updated home in Luray. Everything was super easy-finding the location, parking, gaining entrance, as well as the departure. The neighbors are far enough away that we didn't worry about being too loud or vice versa. The home is nice and close to town. We were able to walk to a brewery with a food truck. It was also nice to have an enclosed area in the back yard for our dog to roam. The front porch is a great place to enjoy coffee in the a.m. Beds were comfortable, easy sleeping. Simply put, it's a clean, comfortable place to stay for a small group.
The owners were easy to work with. We really appreciated their super quick responses to our questions. I actually would give them a plus plus for being so nice and accommodating. After we left (and had done a once over), they found our daughter's iPad that she left, and mailed it to her that very day. We are VERY grateful for their kindness.
No comment on my daughter who loses things a lot more than we care to admit.

We stayed as a family of 4 for a quick getaway and this was a great place. It is very clean and well decorated and the mattresses were SO comfortable, which we really appreciated. It was well stocked and had what we needed. It is also conveniently located close to town and the caverns. The hosts were very responsive. We would definitely stay again.

The fact that front and back door had no hand rails made getting in house near impossible, no hand rails in bath tubs,
to get in and out had to use neighbors drive and hike across grass and mulch. that is the reason for some low ratings. House.. Super, love the decorating, kitchen well ,equipped, very nice furniture, I am not a fan of foam mattresses, but for one night it was OK. I would rate most everything a 4+ or a 5, except the accessability. which was a 2. I partially blame Vrbofor not insisting on handicap acc. I dislike Vrbo and will go back to Booking. com which insists on meeting State lodging laws.

THIS LURAY HOME WAS IN A GREAT LOCATION NEXT TO THE LURAY CAVERNS AND SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK. THE GUIDE BOOK PROVIDED IN THE HOME WAS FULL OF VERY INFORMATIVE HIKING INFO AND LOCAL ATTRACTIONS. WE TRULY ENJOYED OUR STAY IN THIS UPDATED 3 BEDROOM, 2 BATHROOM HOME. WE WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THIS HOME TO OTHERS AND WOULD LOVE TO RETURN FOR A LONGER STAY. A PERFECT VRBO HOME !!!

We planned our getaway on a whim, so it was great finding a place that was so pleasant and clean to stay in. I planned this overnight trip with my parents and my infant son (11months old). Once we got to the place, I felt very comfortable letting my son crawl all over the floor because it looked very clean. The place is decorated minimally but chic.
I would book again if I happen to be visiting the area again.

We stayed at Cottage by the Caverns to use as a base while we explored Shenandoah National Park. The home worked out great. Our only complaint was the lack of window coverings on the large front living room window, which caused us to feel a little bit of lack of privacy at night time. One of the bedrooms needed a nightstand lamp. Other than that, the place was super clean and had all the amenities we needed. The hosts communicated well through the vrbo emails. We had a great time.

We planned this trip for our granddaughter to show her Luray Caverens and it worked out perfectly. The Caverens were great and a big hit with our granddaugher. Staying at 303 Luray Ave, Luray was icing on the cake. The location was very convenient, the house was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was nicely equiped and the host was very responsive.

We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. This place fit us perfectly. It is sparkling clean. It is nicely furnished. Very new and modern. The fenced in back yard and fire pit is a nice touch. If you are in the Luray area this house is perfect!

Loved this cute little house for our annual couples hiking trip. Super convenient location for short trips to the trailheads and we walked to local restaurants a few times. The beds were super comfy and house was well appointed and clean. Would definitely stay again :)

This is a charming home that is beautifully appointed with a clean and modern decor. The beds were very comfortable, shower pressure was good and the kitchen has all modern appliances.
Loved the small touches from shampoo/conditioner/body wash being provided to the coffee and creamer in the kitchen. They really don’t miss a beat when it comes to ensuring the little things are taken care of.
Property manager has great communication and took care of a small issue within 30 minutes of us calling.
The location is fantastic in terms of super short drives to Main Street and a quick hop over to Luray!
