About this house rental

This cozy house is located in Munising, MI right off the southern shore of Lake Superior on Munising Bay. It is a 2 bed, 1 bath with a huge backyard area that connects to two snowmobile trails. There are 3 Twin beds, a futon, and 1 Queen bed so it accommodates 6. There is a full kitchen and bath.

We are limited to two trailers being parked on the property. You must be confident to back up the trailer along side the house to the parking area, as there likely won't be space to turn around in the back yard. The garage will be available to park in, with space for one vehicle, and additional parking on the back of the house with the trailer parking. We have over 70ft by 24ft of space for trailer parking.

Munising is located in the heart of the Hiawatha National Forest, is the entry point to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and also features Grand Island National Recreational Area (.5 miles from shore). It is only 40 miles east of Marquette, which is the U.P.’s biggest town. With a population of just over 2,500, it has a small-town charm but bustles with many activities throughout the year. Munising is the best place to hike with over 15 waterfalls located around town, with most being an easy ability level because paved trails and wood walkways. There is also 5 lighthouses and several beautiful recreation areas.

Clean, well supplied and excellent location. Just on the end of town but can still walk to town or an easy drive. It’s right across the street from an awesome pasty and fudge shop and also across the street from Riptide Rides, which was our family’s highlight of this trip! Only issue we had was we could not park in the garage because we couldn’t get the door open. Plenty of outdoor space though including nice back yard. Would love to stay here again.

Great location at the edge of Munising. You have views of Lake Superior, a playground across the street, and walking distance to restaurants and excursion companies. Clean and well kept. Easy communication with no-contact check in and check out.

The location is perfect. Less than a block from Picture Rock Kayaking. The accommodations were adequate - no frills. (Ex. No doors on cabinets. House is older and has a bit of an odor to it.) But the house was clean and we had everything we need. It would be expecially good for a young family with children. They would enjoy having their own space in the dormer upstairs. There is only 1 bathroom - and it's on the main floor. Good Stay all in all.

The house was very clean and well-set up in a great location to explore Pictured Rocks. We enjoyed the house and it was a great set up for our family. Communication with the property manager was good and check-in was easy. The kitchen had what we needed and we had plenty of towels. We visited Muldoon's right across the street for their famous UP pasties. My youngest loved being able to see their Bigfoot statue out the upstairs window. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. We wish we had more time to explore the area.

Cozy, clean, and walking distance from downtown Munising. Right across from Muldoon’s Pasties and the Glass Bottom Boat Tours. Less than 10 minutes from Pictured Rocks Visitor Center and Sand Point Beach which had amazing swimming and sunsets. Hosts were very responsive. Couldn’t have asked for better. Highly recommend!!!

We had a wonderful time. The house fit our family (6) perfectly. It was well accommodated and clean enough. Great location for waterfall tour, shipwreck tour, guided kayak tour of pictured rocks.

Convenient location next to plenty of gift shops and downtown; the glass bottom boat tour was right across the street! Family friendly. Clean and easy check in/out. The bathroom is small but overall it met all our needs while visiting.

Location was good. We enjoyed our stay. There are a few things that could make it better couch was uncomfortable and the bathroom was small and needed more lighting. Supplies were good. All in all it was a nice stay.

So many water falls to see in Munising! You will not be disappointed!! Also the Picture Rock boat ride is a must. The two local breweries are great! So enjoy your time in Munising we did,

Great comfortable house on the bay in Munising Michigan, house has everything you need, comfortable beds for 6 people, great areas to sit and eat. Very close to town, water view , walking to places to eat we’re across the street. Downtown was close. Great communication with owners. Great rates. We will rent again.

This is a beautiful area, but the house needs some tlc. Weeds are overtaking the gardens surrounding the house. There are loose bricks to step on where there should be better fitted stairs from the garage into the kitchen. The main floor was clean looking, but smelled very musty. Kitchen had no coffee as advertised, but did have a coffee maker and was otherwise well equipped. No dishwasher. Bathroom was very small with no countertop, but everything was in working order. Lots of road noise and no air conditioning or ceiling fan in the master. Since there were only the 2 of us we didn’t use the upstairs.

Nice place, good location from town. We were able to walk to town on sidewalks. Took the Rip Tide ride around Grand Island, soooo much fun! Owners were quick to respond to any questions.

Check in was immediate. Communication with the owner was no problem. Everything was clean and ready to use. They even give you basketballs for the court across the street. Sand castle making toys for the beach, and the best location in the city. The boat rides are within walking distance and the best pasties in the UP are right across the street.

We didn’t spend too much time at the house - but it was a perfect basecamp to organize activities. My 7 and 10 year old just loved the upstairs - it was so cozy for them. The WI-FI was quality and the place was as advertised CLEAN. Will use again if available.

My hubby and I were looking for a place to have as home base in the mid section of the UP north shore. The house was more space than we needed, but the space we used was EXCELLENT! We liked having a garage for the car, eat in kitchen for cooking/meals and big comfy couch with a massive TV for streaming movies.

We had a great time, house location was perfect to get gas and get on the trail! House was very nice and very well set up for making breakfast and coffee and everything. The garage was very nice for parking sleds as well! Getting in and check out instructions were clear and simple. We really enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be back again. Thank you!
