About this house rental
Clean, airy, private basement apartment with hidden room featuring pool table/air hockey behind James Bond style hidden room which is entered through bookcase door…..A former guest was perplexed when he couldn’t find the promised pool table thats how well its hidden. 3 tvs (common area and both bedrooms ) come equipped with Roku and mNetflix. 2 full windows in bedrooms provide natural light and super comfortable queen size beds. It is a renovated basement…. It is clean, roomy with eclectic tasteful decor. In the renovation we decided to go with a kitchenette so there is no stove/oven, however we included as follows: Microwave, air fryer, mini fridge, a double sink, coffee maker/kuerig, toaster oven, and a hot plate. Plates, silverware, pots/pans are readily available but it is an area not conducive for preparing Thanksgiving dinner. In addition for your convenience a full size washer/dryer is at your disposal. Toiletry items are available upon request.

This fun, unique property is located in a basement that has plenty of light and is decorated beautifully! Very Clean!!! It is very cozy yet spacious and comfortable. We thought it was adorable!! The living room area has a big tv & comfortable couch to kick back & relax. There’s a tall game/bar table to eat at & two video game machines that were really fun! The secret “Nancy Drew” hidden room behind the bookcase was super cool!!! We played a little pool and grabbed a book to read. The two bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. One bedroom has a window air conditioner and the other a big fan. Since my mom is older and runs cool, this room was perfect for her. I was happy there was an air conditioner in our room. It was very hot (in the 90’s) when we were here, yet the entire rental stayed cool and comfortable. The bathroom was cute and big enough for two of us to use at the same time to get ready to go out. The only thing I would add is extra TP and paper towels. The kitchenette, located in its own room at the back was terrific! Little refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, silverware, wine and water glasses, coffee cups and several electric cooking items were available to use. Coffee and creamer was also provided. There is a washer and dryer for use. You need to supply your own laundry soap. The sink was big & soap & a new sponge were provided so it was easy to hand wash our dishes. I would add paper towels. Perfect home away when in Spokane!! We loved it!

Clean , comfortable beds and great communication .

Clean, comfortable, very private, with just the right amount of not perfect. If you're looking for fancy and super nice, probably not the spot for you. But for a very reasonable price, super clean, but a little rough around the edges, it was just fine. We would go back.

Wonderful stay for the five of us when we were in town for a family memorial service.

It was nice.

When I say quirky, I mean it in a good way. This is a nice basement apartment. Our group consisted of 3 ladies. The bedroom windows are large, and allow nice light. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are nice size. The living area is nice, well appointed, and comfortable. The "hidden" room was a fun addition. The kitchen is not a full kitchen, and as previously reviewed it has a full size washer and dryer there which makes the kitchen tight for 2 or 3 people to be in the kitchen at the same time. AND it is not a full kitchen - so if you plan to try to cook your meals, that won't work here. We had continental breakfast on site, but our meals were away from the property - which worked really well for us. The place was really clean, the linens were nice, and the coffee was really good.
We felt very safe in the neighborhood and in the property.
We would stay here again. If you want a budget friendly, super cute and fun place to stay, you can't beat this property.

This booking is not for the entire house advertised! It is the basement of the home in the picture. Very DIY space. Also no soaps so make don’t forget yours!

A unique experience!

This property IS NOT a house rental. You rent just the basement floor. There's a family living upstairs with a dog. Your led to believe it's a full house through the advertising. Very disappointed.

Overall, not a bad place to stay.
Pros:
*the main living area was nicely decorated, comfortable couch, table to eat at, WiFi, TV with Netflix and a couple of old arcade games which my 15 year old loved
*he also liked the hidden room with 'pool table'
*everything was clean
*bedrooms were roomy and comfortable
*centrally located for our stay in town
*safe quiet neighborhood
*off street parking
Few quirks:
*the owner lives on the main floor, prior comments noted this was a VRBO on the main floor, but it is an occupied home, with a dog a children, not a game changer, but we could hear everything going on upstairs, so I assume they can hear us too, we felt like we needed to be quiet to not disturb them
*you have to walk thru the back yard, over the deck of the occupied home to get to the basement door, it's well lit, but just a little awkward
*ceilings are VERY low in places, I am 5' 10" and I felt like I was going to hit my head walking thru the hallway
*bathroom is in need of a remodel, the owner was in the middle of painting, which was not a problem for us, but it felt like an old forgotten basement bathroom
*kitchenette was in the laundry room, it was functional, but a refresh could go a long way to making it feel like a kitchen instead of a dark basement laundry room
For the price, and the fact that we were only here in the evenings and to sleep, this was well worth the price we paid.

I’ve stayed here before, both good. Quiet, nice setting and overall excellent experience

The owner was super nice and amazing. The beds were really cozy.

Price is good, accommodation were also good, very cute place however there are several things to know:
1) The upstairs is a VRBO as well, so you can hear all the noise
2) No shower soap, shampoo or conditioner
3) Iron is broken, doesn’t work
4) No coffee. Proffer pot was full of old coffee
5) No kitchen, but does have sink and refrigerator, washer and dryer
6) Entry pathway needs better lighting, dark once you behind house and hard to see lock entry numbers
Owner was very responsive to text and VRBO messaging. She provided coffee cups.
This is a bare bone economical place to stay. Not necessarily what i expected but it served its purpose.

One of my employees and his wife and Baby stayed there while we’re in Spokane doing some construction work. It was clean, and Traci was the best host very easy to work with. We had a great time. The place is really clean and roomy.

We were just there for one night to attend a wedding but wished we had more time there, everything was cute and comfortable!

It was a cozy place that had all of the basics that we needed. It was located in a cute little neighborhood where we felt safe. Also, the secret room with pool table was lots of fun!

This is a two bedroom basement apartment. It is well furnished and quite comfortable. Tracy is easy to get hold of and very attentive to any needs I had.

The owner is extremely nice and very accommodating. The apartment is in the back and downstairs and easy to find. It was plenty of room for our family of four and the hidden game room was very cool to the kiddos. It had the typical basement smell that comes with humidity, not a smoke smell that another review had mentioned. It was as clean as most hotels we stay at. But the price we paid could never be reached by a hotel. There is just no way you would get all that comes with this house in a hotel. If you are super picky and expecting the Ritz, then this isn’t the place for you. Go find a hotel. If you are looking for affordable, room for all, people staying out of your business and a super cute dog you might run into in the morning, then this is the place for you. Be sure to bring laundry detergent and clorox wipes though if you want to help keep up with clean up.

This was my second, but NOT my last, stay at this location. It is a large basement apartment with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, dining area, and 'secret room' [located behind the bookshelf in the LR] with a full sized pool table. It has 2 bedrooms with more than enough closet space to accommodate luggage, etc.
The apartment is very clean, well maintained, and very quiet [a rare thing for a basement!!]. It's also unlike most places of its kind because there is more than ample natural lighting, especially in the bedrooms each of which include a large window. If you don't like the morning sun though, the drapes do a good job of keeping the room dark enough to sleep late! ;)
The living room and both bedrooms have their own TV, so everyone can watch what they want - and the wifi signal and speed are excellent for those glued to their devices!
The bottom line: this is a very comfortable place to stay that can very easily accommodate a couple of adults or even a family. It's in a nice, quiet, and SAFE neighborhood with ample parking. The host [Traci] is very respectful of guest's privacy but also very easy to contact with any questions or concerns. This is my go-to place whenever I come to Spokane from now on!

There wer terribly steps in the back yard to the door. I couldn't find the door at night to enter the back yard. The shower was dirty and looked like dog hair. The place was freezing cold and those tiny plug in heaters didn't work good enough.

It was quiet and the check in was great, very comfortable…

From the time we entered the basement apartment, we could smell old smoke.
Telltale was cigarette stubs by apt entrance. After a few days, it was apparent secondhand smoke was coming from the upstairs house, thru downstairs heating vents. I am an allergic person, with asthma and bronchial issues. I had to vacate the VRBO and find another. I believe as well, it was posted as non-smoking. Not really fair… And I hope to get a partial refund, if not a full refund.

The apartment was clean, larger than you'd think a basement apartment would be, and very well kept! The rooms were large, and it was very quiet & private! I would definitely stay again!

What I loved about this property is how clean and very private it was in the Bungalow. I felt very safe and very cared for.
