About this apartment rental
Ciliegio (garden view) disposes of 1 double bedroom, 1 bedroom with two single beds, 2 baths, a fully equipped kitchen in the dinner/ living room furnished with a bedsofa, a private garden and patio with table and chairs for meals outside.
The property is situated Via Sant'Alessandro, a small pedestrian street going up behind the left river close to the arrivals of ferries and hydrofoils (10 minutes by foot).
Ischia Porto is easily reached from Naples by boat, leaving very frequently from the harbour in central Naples "Molo Beverello". The trip takes 50 minutes.
The apartment is situated in a 15.000 square meter private coast property "Villa dei fiori sul mare". It is a beautiful and well kept park with exotic and regional plants and flowers and which has beautiful lanes which goes through the garden to the various separated apartments and down towards the exclusive private sea access.
The property can truly be considered a private oasis but yet very close to the center of Ischia Porto and from where any part of Ischia is easily reached. In 10 minutes by foot you find restaurants, shops, grocery shops, rentings of cars, scooters, bikes, and the main bus and taxi station.
The private access to the sea is equipped with sunbeds, chairs . There are several platforms going down towards the sea, with reserved private spaces for each apartment (Gelso Nero - Ciliegio-Bouganville) , but it's not a beach.
The other longer sand beaches are situated 15 minutes on foot from the house (next to the main shopping street Via Roma) and
the small beach "Spiaggia degli Inglesi" is situated about 400m from the house.
The price includes bedlinen and towels for the bathroom, but we ask our guests to kindly bring towels or pareos for the sea.

Relaxing garden villa at Ischia Porto. Pro: clean; private access to the sea. Cons: attention to detail could be improved considering the price; tiring uphill road to enter in the property.

Beautiful property! We stayed during an historic heat wave and the air conditioning held up wonderfully, which is not always the case with Italian rental properties. Plenty of space for six people and having access to a large TV with Netflix was huge!
They were very accommodating with our last-minute early arrival and met us at the dock to lead us to the property.
The freezer was super effective and had no problem churning out ice, which as an American I have always found frustratingly lacking in Europe. We brought our own ice trays and left them there... hopefully they make them available to future guests!
The only cons that I can think of are:
-The hike to the villa is not for the faint of heart. The heat didn't help, but there is no option but to walk up a mountain on a relatively steep path. My kids and I did fine with it, but my in-laws who are in their mid-60's struggled and it become a bit prohibitive of them freely going down to town. Would probably not have been as big of a deal had it not been for the aforementioned heat wave.
-The sea area was great, but we did not find it to be "private" as was stated in the description. It's a small rocky area at the bottom of some stairs, but there were routinely other people in the area when we went down. I'm not sure where they were coming from, but it definitely seemed like more of a shared space. It wasn't a huge deal though, there was plenty of ocean for everyone!

We had a wonderful stay. Property is conveniently located walking distance from the port. It was clean and air conditioned, with a nice kitchen and secure doors and windows.
We had an elderly person with us, and she struggled a bit with the climb up the brick pathway to the property. She also struggled with the beach access, which involved climbing down narrow staircases and a ladder into the water. There's no sloped beach. But for most people these would not be problematic. At least, the rest of us had no trouble.
Kitchen has all the main appliances, including a washing machine, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Clotheslines outside.
Host does not supply towels for the beach, so be sure to bring your own. We bought a couple inflatable toys in town and left them on the property since there were none supplied. Access point to the water is rocky; helpful to have water shoes of some kind.
We can't wait to come back to this wonderful property in its green, garden-like setting. The property manager was very responsive, the location is fantastic, the private cove is dreamy. And we fell in love with the local cat. Overall, a superb place to stay.

We were dazzled by Mariolina's property — the furnishings are so beautiful and you can't beat the view. The Bouginville was lovely with a large kitchen and area to relax inside and watch the sunset outside. Beautiful comfortable linens and bath towels were provided but you must bring your own beach towel. For the price, you are roughing it a little bit, but Mariolina goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and happy. Be forewarned, the hike from the boat up the steep hill is pretty treacherous if you're carrying heavy luggage and even with non-skid shoes you're wise to hold on to the railing on the way up and down as the pine needles make the uneven stone hill even more slippery. We were greeted by a very sweet girl who didn't speak any English but helped us as much as she could with our luggage. One of the rooms was a little musty, and two out of the three beds were very uncomfortable. These are small things though when you take in the splendor of the place. Do yourself a favor and ask Mariolina to have Luisa cook for you one of the nights you're there. You'll be in for a treat!

Absolutely stunning property. We could not have been happier with our stay and any questions or concerns were addressed right away. So much more wild and beautiful than the pictures can show. If we were going back to ischia we would absolutely try to stay here again!

It is quite rare to find such a set up in Italian touristic areas. The property is located on top of a hill overlooking Ischia porto. Immersed in a spacious garden, where there is a choice of properties and they all maintain their own privacy. Although the one we stayed does not have a direct view to either the sea or the porto, you can access the private bay for a swim through some stairs. The center town is also handy (10 mins walk).
Our property was spacious and clean, it offered two bedroom and two shower rooms, the ideal for a family or three adults.
We were welcomed by Mariolina and her employee who kindly carried our luggages up to an down from the property.
We will definitely go back.
