About this house rental
Retreat with your favorite people to a quiet, private home on a street that dead ends into Hawksnest State Park! Enjoy easy access to Route 6 and ten minutes to Chatham and beaches. This recently-renovated house sits in a secluded location on two acres with walking access to beautiful ponds and hiking trails.
Please note: This house rents Saturday-Saturday from June 3 - September 2.
The space
When you turn off the quiet street onto the horseshoe driveway at Hidden Acres, you'll marvel at the peace and privacy of the setting. Past the picket fence, the house sits on two acres where you can truly get away from it all.
Walking through the front door, you'll step into a newly remodeled, open floor plan living space with a wrapped stone fireplace, dining area to seat the whole crew, and a kitchen with brand new stove, microwave, dishwasher, and everything you need to cook for your group. The tongue and groove backsplash, woven light fixtures, and butcher block peninsula are new too, but reflect the house's past as a coastal farmhouse.
Off the kitchen, read a book in a wicker chair on the sun porch or step out to grill and eat on the new deck. Make a plan to take a shower outside when you get back from the beach!
Back inside, you will find an additional living space with cathedral ceilings and a TV next to the primary bedroom and a full bath with board and batten walls.
On the other end of the house, there is an office with a desk, chair, TV, and lamp that is perfect as a dedicated space for those with a flexible or work-from-home arrangement. The office also features a new queen sleeper sofa. Next to the office is a powder room that features handmade "Harwich" wallpaper.
Upstairs are two bedrooms: a peaceful bedroom with a queen bed and built-in dresser with a nautical feel, and a bedroom with a full bed and a twin pull-out trundle featuring Garnet Hill pillowcases with sea life.
On the bottom floor, there is another living space with a TV and board games. Another bedroom with two twin beds awaits. This floor also features a free washer and dryer.
We have poured our hearts into remodeling this home to reflect how our friends and family love to gather and relax on the Cape, and we hope you love it as much as we do.
Other things to note
Sheets, blankets, quilts, and bath towels provided.
One or two dogs are welcome for a pet fee of $200 per stay
Please note: For SUMMER 2025, this house rents Saturday-Saturday from June 14 - August 26.

This house was perfect for our family vacation. Seamless check in and check out, very clean, well appointed kitchen and plenty of room for 3 generations. We highly recommend this property.

The property exceeded our expectations. There was enough room for everyone to spread out. We had three generations stay for the week. The walking trails were very convenient. We loved being able to walk our dog in the off leash area.

So this was a three generation holiday, four grandchildren, our children and their spouses. You need a pretty special place to serve such a diverse group and this place did it exceptionally well. Good spaces for both the group together and each ages on their own. The quality of the home is excellent every thing worked great and I would recommend it. The large glass front door is a bit of a challenge for todlers but otherwise it was enjoyed by all of us.

Our first time to Cape Cod was amazing. We went for a granddaughter's wedding so 10 family members stayed in the house. We all loved the location, decor, cleanliness, layout of bedrooms in different areas, and the deck and outdoor areas. It was also exceptionally well provisioned. The hosts were friendly and helpful at all times. I highly recommend this charming rental home.

Our extended family spent the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend at Hidden Acres. We had a wonderful time at this secluded, but well situated, home! There was plenty of space to all be together, or for some separation when desired. There is plenty of accommodation for mobility impaired family members on the main level. Second floor bedrooms aren’t recommended for those who have difficulty with stairs - they’re steep with shallow treads - as this is a beautifully remodeled, but older home. We highly recommend staying here!

Lovely home. Clean and nicely decorated. Wonderful children’s books. Nice yard and close to state park down the road. Short drive to Chatham. Responsive hosts. Good to note that the fireplace is not usable.

We stayed here with three generations, including our 2 year old, and it was great! Loved how toddler friendly it was, so with so many extra touches, like potty training seats and step stools. The pond just down the road was a great swimming hole for us! We’ll be back!
