We stayed here because its close to where our son lives. Its the cleanest place ive ever rented. Very cozy and unique. All amenities available. Maybe a fan? We loved sitting in the back yard and having dinner back there. Really close to all kinds of Portland sights. Would definitely book again and recommend highly!

The property looks just like the pictures. The communication was great. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. Would stay here again immediately!

Great place to stay with two couples. We each had our own side of the unit with a door dividing the areas. We enjoyed the colorful and quirky decor and themed bedrooms. Beds were comfortable. There was a heat wave while we were in town. The home was always cool and was a pleasure to come back to after hiking and being in the sun. We did not need to turn on the a/c even on the days when it was over 100 degrees. We had our friends over for dinner one night. We bbq’ed and enjoyed the private patio with seating for six. Parking was easy and location was perfect for walking to great restaurants nearby.
Highly recommend! We will definitely stay here again.

The location was great and the decor was beautiful. There were games and a peaceful back patio area, too. It’s a little dark due to the basement location, but we expected that. It definitely met the needs of all of us (2 couples) during our Portland visit.

I am a super host and am relatively picky when booking short term rentals. We came to Portland to help our son and his fiancée look for a new apartment as they are relocating to Portland. This property was in the perfect location!! So close to everything we were looking at. The neighborhood had amazing dining options, great coffee options, great quaint nightlife options, great grocery options. Walkability was fantastic! The property itself is an experience versus just a place to sleep. The details in the fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms were so nice. Great water pressure. The beds were comfortable abd decedent linens! It was a nice place to come “home”
to at the end of the day to chill and watch a movie. Fun, comfy, funky, convenient and awesome! Thanks for a great stay! 😊

We stayed in Early December to get to know the area where my son lives. The place was incredible. All we needed and more. We had two beautiful well appointed bathrooms, a full kitchen with all appliances working well and comfortable beds with fluffy pillows and down comforters. We were able to enjoy the wet season and explore all the interesting food spots as well as zip into downtown in minutes. A truly great location if you want the local neighborhood feel.

This is our first experience using VRBO. It was such a smooth process (Thank you Jessy). We absolutely loved our "home away from home." The owners have thought of everything, down to the smallest detail. Decor was so awesome. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

Such a great place. We really loved it. I have to say that I've never slept so good in a rental property or hotel before. The beds/bedding were so so comfortable.
The location was very close to everything. Tons of great food within walking distance. There were quite a few bars too, but we didn't go to any of them.
Happy to stay here again whenever we're back in Portland.

We (me, my wife, and two good friends) loved our time at this funky, charmingly decorated underground lair. There are a million cool little touches, like puzzles, games (3D Connect Four), and cheeky artwork. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well-appointed, and the main bathroom is large and quite nice. The second bathroom is a convenient bonus, as is on-site laundry. The property managers left out a lot of towels for us, were easy to communicate with, and even let me stay a bit longer on check-out day when it was freakishly hot in Portland.
It's easy to forget you are in a basement; natural light does come in through a few high-on-the-wall windows. I would only caution you against staying here if you are: (a) VERY tall, like NBA height; or (b) very sensitive to occasional footstep noise above your heads. We didn't have any problems whatsoever, though, and would gladly stay here again.

My family was very comfortable at this property because of the bright decor, comfortable furnishings, and friendly layout...lots of little rooms for reading, resting, and lounging. Take note that the property is on the lower level of a duplex, so natural light is limited but that really wasn't an issue because we most of our time in the city. It was easy to bathe our small children, get them fed, and dressed for outings--dinner was easy as well. In summation, I'd highly recommend this property if you have small children and want to keep somewhat of a routine while you're travelling.

Loved the design it was eclectic and fun to look around. Only qualm is I do recommend bringing a jacket because it was very cold in there. The units on the wall did not put out any heat but we were able to find a space heater in the closet. I’m pretty sure the main homes A/C Pumps into the unit (which is in the basement) so we had no control over that temp they have that set to.

The suite is amazingly clean, furnishings are new, clean and comfortable. Located in the basement it was great to escape the heat of the day in a great cool spot, each room had AC as well for a comfortable sleep. The backyard is great for hanging out on the patio, bbq available to cook on if you want. The location is perfect to walk to many local breweries and restaurants, a short Uber ride to anywhere just outside of walking distance. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it when staying in Portland.

Property was well cared for, very clean. Beds were very comfy and property came with several convenience amenities. Full kitchen was a huge perk as well as full size washer/dryer. Property manager was very responsive to requests. I would stay here again.

I treated my daughter, two of her friends and one of their infants to a weekend in Portland for her birthday. They loved the location and the home itself was apparently very nice. They had no complaints and I think I will book a couple nights there in the near future for my wife and I.

This was super smooth going - everything from communicating to having everything you need. I love a super clean (freshly updated I think) and super comfy stay - and if you appreciate that, this is a great place! The location is wonderful - easy walking distance to streets with lots of shops, places to eat at ( we went to Hawthorne or Belmont). Cute back yard too. Would stay again. I have to comment on the bedding bc it was noticeably comfortable: clean crisp sheets/duvet & nice down pillows. I love that!

The place is even more impressive in person. We had so much fun discovering the art in the home!
10.0 / 10.0
The space was great - so clean and well decorated! Most 2 bedrooms that we looked at in the area only came with 1 bathroom, so it was great to find one with a second bathroom. There was a pack and play available for our 9 month old, so it was helpful not to have to travel with one. There were also a number of games that stocked at the house, which gave us something fun to do during downtime/baby nap time. Overall had such a lovely stay and would definitely come back and recommend to our friends!

The property in Buckman Neighborhood was incredible. The place is close enough to downtown Portland but still has a very quaint suburban feel with plenty of on street parking and coffee shops/ restaurants nearby. This property is in the basement of the owner’s house and though it had a great private entrance and garden, was absolutely spotless and immaculately decorated it did come with a fair bit of foot traffic noise from upstairs. Also a slight word of caution to tall guests as I’m 6’4” and did learn the hard way that I needed to duck between some of the beams/doorframes. Overall a great find in a great location and would recommend to anyone looking for their own private space just outside of downtown Portland.

This gem looks as cute as the pictures portray. It is spotlessly clean, the construction and finishing is first rate and the hosts provide lots of thoughtful items such as bedside sound machines and umbrellas. Check in was seamless. Parking on the street was sometimes crowded but we were always able to find a spot. Excellent!

This apartment is very nice. It is in a good location. The only negative thing I could say is it is a little hard to get into the apartment. The door to the basement opens the wrong direction and the backyard has some obstacles to work around. It just makes it hard to get down the stairs with all of your bags and multiple people.

My family of 4 really enjoyed the lower unit. Its was classic warm and humid Portland, but the apartment was air conditioned and super comfortable. Like have a home away. Enjoyed walking the neighborhoods. Wholefood close. Will stay again.

Another couple and my husband and I stayed in Portland for a concert. We utilized the space during the day to work remotely and it was convenient. The lower/basement apt was well equipped for all our needs and the patio at our entrance was lovely. We would definitely stay again!

Just spent 3 wonderful days in Portland. The location of this house is great, easy access to much of the city, shopping, restaurants etc.
The unit is very clean, comfortable and stocked with everything we needed for the time we were there.
A few things to be aware of however...
- Rental is the basement of the house. There is only 1 window over the kitchen sink that actually looks outside.
- Heat is controlled by the owner upstairs. The unit was cold when we arrived and then the heat was kicked on in the evening. The fan ran constantly and got very hot at night.
10.0 / 10.0
Spacious, well furnished flat -- Beds were very comfortable. Private courtyard out back for BBQ and fun!!! Great spot for two couples or a big family....games galore and a nice size kitchen. Location could not be better - walking distance to food and fun; central location for Portland activities.

We really enjoyed this rental. Enough space for everyone to spread out while in town for an event at the convention center. The outdoor space would have been lovely if it had been warmer during our stay. The extra roll-away was a nice touch and the host was helpful! Looking forward to our next stay!

Everything you need for a great stay in a neighbourhood with great restaurants and easy access to Portland sights. The home was clean , spacious and full of colour. The owner was extremely helpful and always quick to respond whenever we had any questions. We’d stay here again.

Check in was much smoother than I have experienced with other VRBO rentals in the past. Very simple straightforward. Hosts were wonderful. Good communicators. The property was spacious and the kitchen was great
