About this cottage rental
Enjoy the spectacular natural beauty of Cozy Harbor and delight in watching all the harbor activity from the privacy of your own sunny deck. This is a newly painted, very clean, comfortable, cozy, and classic cottage that is well appointed for your vacation needs. New mattresses and bedding on all five beds plus room darkening shades on all windows will ensure a good night's sleep not to mention that fresh salty air! A new loveseat allows for indoor reading. Please bring your own linens, bath towels, and beach towels. NOTE: The upstairs bedroom is accessed by a ship’s ladder. This sleeping area is not appropriate for very young children. Walk to nearby and scenic Hendrick's Head Beach, a beautiful sandy beach with a small climbable outcrop called Kitten Island, in 5 minutes where you can swim, build sandcastles and explore tide pools at low tide. The Southport General Store, a local gathering spot with outdoor picnic tables, is also a 5 minute walk and offers not only breakfast pizzas, deli sandwiches and baked goods, but a carefully curated stock of hand-picked wines, beers, and ciders and more. For a leisurely wooded landscape walk, explore Hendrick's Head Preserve with an easy 1/2 mile loop for bird watching and nature photography. Shopping, restaurants, boat tours and more summer activities abound in Boothbay Harbor, a 12 minute scenic drive across the historic Southport Swing Bridge. A visit to the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden, the largest botanical garden in New England, is a must see as you will experience the exquisite beauty of Northern coastal horticulture and see the giant trolls! Important Details: Check in 5:00PM. Strict check out at10:00AM. Please bring your own linens including bedding, bath, beach, and kitchen towels. No pets. NOTE: The upstairs sleeping area is accessed by a ship’s ladder and is not appropriate for very young children. This property on Southport Island is exceptionally beautiful and is only 90 minutes from Portland. Come create memories at this spectacular harbor setting. This is Maine at its best!
