About this house rental
Casa Mamacita is a new, 2 bedroom, 3 bath house located a few minutes drive from Quepos in a beautiful, peaceful jungle setting. Here you will enjoy the serenity of your little piece of jungle paradise but still have quick access to shops, restaurants and activities. Just 2.5 miles from Marina Pez Vela, gateway to some of the world's best fishing and about a 20 minute drive to Manuel Antonio National Park. We don't charge extra cleaning fees.
The house is beautifully and thoughtfully designed by a local architect, built by a local builder and furnished with Costa Rican made furniture. From the wooden doors, cabinets, vanities and beds- it's all exquisitely produced by local Tico craftsmen with Costa Rican wood.
Each bedroom has its own private bath and luxurious shower. The upstairs (jungle) bedroom has a King size bed and puts you up in the canopy of the jungle with beautiful views through the extra large sliding glass doors and a private balcony. The main floor (ocean) bedroom can be configured with 2 twin XL beds or they can be connected together to make 1 King size bed and provides you with direct access to the back patio and pool. Both bedrooms have oversized, sliding glass doors with black-out curtains in case you want to sleep-in. Early risers however, will be rewarded with the sights and sounds of the local wildlife as the jungle awakens. White-faced and squirrel monkeys frequently visit the property along with peccaries, toucans, parrots and many other animals and birds.
The private pool and back patio area is a perfect mix of shade and sun throughout the day and is furnished with a dining table & chairs and 4 lounge chairs as well as a large shade umbrella that can be moved around the patio as desired. Upon returning from your morning adventures, you can enjoy a refreshing swim and cook your own dinner on the BBQ grill while you watch the wildlife and birds and listen to the sounds of the jungle.
The home also includes a dedicated mudroom/laundry room with a high quality, high capacity washer & dryer.
For those that need to stay connected, we offer free Wi-Fi with a 50 Mbps fiberoptic connection. There are 3 Smart TVs in the house. There are some free TV stations available or you can login to your own Netflix account and several other streaming services or connect your own FireStick.
We suggest a rental car but the house is a short taxi ride away from Quepos and buses stop at the entrance to the development. Upon your arrival, you will be met by our property manager and concierge. Dennis is a native Costa Rican who is fluent in English as well as Spanish. He will answer all of your questions and can suggest and arrange activities for your group to enjoy at no extra cost to you.

Our whole family loved the house and location. It was voted the best part of our 3-week trip across Costa Rica. Our kids loved the morning backyard visits from the large troops of squirrel or capuchin monkeys. Dennis (the property manager) was great with recommendations and also helped us book a half-day fishing trip, where the kids caught a tuna that kept us in fish for the week. The pool was cool and refreshing after the hot days. It was great being surrounded by the jungle, but still a short drive from both Quepos (for good restaurants, grocery stores, etc.) and Manuel Antonio (for the National Park, amazing beaches, etc.). We'd definitely recommend the house for families looking to see Costa Rican wildlife.

I had NO IDEA how magical this place would be. The pictures don’t do it justice (and the pics were amazing so you can only imagine!!). We felt like we were in our own little resort. Each morning we would sit by the pool and eat breakfast and watch the squirrel or capuchin monkeys play in the trees. After a day of fun we would head back to the house and swim and watch the monkeys again. It was beyond words!! I was in heaven!!
I should also note that the trails near the house were so fun to walk. We walked them on many occasions. TONS of wild life to see!

This house was incredible as we had everything we needed and the wildlife sightings from the yard was amazing-butterflies, squirrel monkeys, anteater, 3-toed sloth, lizards…great location for easy walk to Biophilia Night Tour. Thanks to Wade, Sandi, & Dennis for providing great recommendations to make our first Costa Rican experience so special for my family of four.

The house was exactly as advertised with every Amenity you could ask for, great location for feeling secluded in nature while also having groceries restaurants beaches and marina 5-15 minutes away. Squirrel monkeys in groups of 5-25 frequented the backyard landscape almost daily both in the AM and afternoon. The guest book was filled with useful tips and the owners and property manager were very responsive and helpful.

This Vrbo was excellent. The pictures don’t do it justice. A very upscale house. Comfortable. Lots of monkeys and wildlife. The price is a great value for what you get. The pool was perfect. Well equipped. Convenient to Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Owners and property manager communicated well and made sure we had what we needed.

This home is immaculate and exceptional. An amazing design situated perfectly on the property to take advantage of the natural rainforest beauty. A very private and quiet area in general ... And the pool area and patio of this home are just that: Quiet, peaceful, private. My wife, children, and I loved lounging in this spot. Squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys, toucans, and macaws just to name some of the highlights were all visible when relaxing out back.
They knocked it would of the park with this property. And there was nothing that we needed that was not already available to us in the house.
Location is perfectly close to whatever you want for recreation or just relaxation.
Bravo on this place!!

I was speechless when we arrived at Casa Mamacita. The house is so beautiful and the back terrace completely blends in with the surrounding jungle. Dennis ensured that we had everything we needed and made check in very easy. We loved spending time in pool or hiking nearby in the Biophilia park to watch birds and animals. We prepared meals at home, and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. My husband and I and another couple were extremely comfortable staying here and had an amazing vacation at Casa Mamacita. It was easy to drive to Manuel Antonio and other local beaches that were more secluded. The house guide book also had tons of recommendations that were very helpful to us. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Wade and Sandi have a true gem of a property. Well designed, well situated and well equipped. Dennis the property manager is courteous and very helpful. My wife and I had 16 days here and everyday was special. We called the pool area "Jungle Theater. " With a perfectly positioned palm tree just off the pool, this became center stage. The monkeys are the headliners, but there are many, many more supporting actors. We enjoyed the property so much that we did not have to rush out to experience other sites. Lots to see and do all around.
Best ever, Wayne and Karen

We were 2 couples that stayed for 7 days. We have travelled extensively and Casa Mamacita has set a new high bar for us.
We were extremely comfortable in this new house which is beautiful decorated and has everything you need to cook your own meals.
The difference maker for us was the backyard with a beautiful pool and the entertainment from monkeys that passed by everyday.
Overall, we give this house the highest recommendation.

Casa Mamacita is a gorgeous brand new house situated in the jungle just outside Quepos. All the amenities and appliances were new and had the latest technology, the kitchen was fully equipped, the WiFi was fast and reliable. The setting was serene and we often saw squirrel and capuchin monkeys in the afternoon. The house manager was easy to reach. The road leading to the house is unpaved and somewhat rough so you will want an SUV or something with a higher undercarriage. Overall a very comfortable retreat near Quepos and only 15 min to Manuel Antonio. We loved the space and would definitely return.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Mamacita. Dennis, who manages the home was wonderful and super helpful. This home is stunning and very clean. We loved relaxing at the pool and if you are lucky like we were, you'll get see some monkeys. Kitchen was fully equipped. The location is magical and convenient. It is located in a secluded area but close to town. I would definitely stay here again when we come back to Costa Rica!

We had the most amazing time at this property. It is absolutely stunning. The property manager, Dennis, was outstanding. He was so helpful at recommending tours, places to visit, and places to eat. The home is beautifully designed and extremely comfortable. We loved spending our afternoons by the pool to cool off after a hot day at the beach or hiking. The monkeys arrived every evening around 5pm and were so entertaining to watch. The home is a short 5 minute drive from Quepos and 20 minutes from Manuel Antonio. We loved the location and staying on the edge of a jungle. My teen children loved their room and appreciated having their own bathroom and space. Our stay here was perfect.
