First we arrived at 2 pm instead of 4 and they wanted to charge $25 for early check in, we said no thank you. Then came back at 5 pm and the front desk attendant was not friendly (need to take hospitality training). Went to the room, and smell like mildew.the sink faucet splashed water all over you. The bar hand soap was re-used and placed back in the package but not sealed. The bathtub and walls looked dirty and the shower head was tilted toward the wall and couldn’t changed. The bath towels were small and looked nasty, they were clean but looked dirty unbleached. We were downstairs and the people above us seemed to be walking all night, we can hear the st and the wood cracking. The next day, there was not coffee for breakfast. The machine “just broke” and they didn’t have a back-up. The hotel is outdated and I can’t believe the charge $162 for that place. Pictures on internet are deceiving.

We booked a room with a hot tub, was given a room with our a hottub, then got the right room. The ceiling was cracked, the hot tub jets didn't work , the fire place didn't work, windows were hard to open, balcony door was very hard to open. Shower door was very small and hard to open and close. No fresh towels or house keeping. The toilet kept running and wouldn't stop, the AC/heat unit was leaking into the floor and would stay on very long at a time.

Older outdate motel. Horrible breakfast. We stayed on the first floor and I've never heard so much noise from the floor above. Needs an update very badly, but the owner doesn't appear to want to spend money

This was probably the most disgusting room I’ve ever been in. Mold on the ceiling, urine stains on the bed sheets, an inch gap under half of the broken door, bathtub completely unusable…looks as if someone picked holes in it then rubbed with grease, the toilet is from the 1950ish era… even flush unless you hold it down for a minimum of 20 seconds, the list goes on. I would hate to know a child with asthma stays in this room. I also think being in such a busy tourist town there would be MUCH better conditions. This hotel should be ashamed to even think to offer such horrendous accommodation, most of the population doesn’t live in filth, much less visit it. I have attached pictures which doesn’t do the situation justice.

This hotel should be closed and refurbished, the room was disgusting, bathroom disgusting, we have cockroaches in our room, the carpet was like in you are walking over rocks, breakfast very poor, cereals, milk, fruit cups, yogurt and a very bad tasting coffee.

Horrible! I have tried for 5 days to get a response from Hotels.com. I would never recommend Baymont in Helen, Georgia to anyone. Rooms need complete makeover.

The only complaint that I have I was on the fifth floor and there was a dog up there barking all night. I didn’t hear my wife did Barking doesn’t bother me.

Very disappointed. The photos from hotels.com did not match my in person vision. Out of 3 rooms, each had issues from holes in the walls, the shower door falling off the track (& not sliding), discolored paint on the wall, the headboard leather scratched in appearance, exposed wiring at thermostat, chipped paint in ceilings, broken ac/heat cover, musky odor, the floors needed attention, hair in towels, and moisture issue in the room (damp). Note: I didnt get 3 rooms, this was after speaking to the representative about the issue in room 1 and I was moved to two other rooms. The representative then explained there would be issues in all of the rooms.

The most miserable pillows and mattress ever. Neither my husband or I got much rest. The one bedside lamp did not work. The room was very dark. The sofa sunk in when sat on making it hard to get up. Sleeping in the car would have been better.

The manager was yelling at guests and being very disrespectful to us and other guests. Very unprofessional assisting us in jogging pants and flip flops with a I dont care attitude including the front desk staff our room had a broken toilet and severely damaged door no toilet paper soap and towels in room had to request them room was extremely dirty too staff was upset to provide these items had to use google translate to communicate with them there was no 24/7 front desk assistance at night just a sign saying call a number that was disconnected coffee maker in room but no cups and very dirty the owners are trading off of the Wyndham bame forva Baymount price with no customary Wyndam amenities this hotel should be removed from expedia (pictures listed of hotel were all fake) breakfast buffet had dirty counters and tables with rotten fruit that was there our whole stay

The front desk staff was very polite and helpful, the hotel is an average hotel that needs renovations. Breakfast was a letdown, the images on the expedia website are not indicative of the actual breakfast that is served. If I were staying in Helen, GA again this would probably be number 3-4 on list of hotels I would consider.

Drywall was coming loose from the ceiling. Tub was moldy and worn. Bathroom yiles cracked. Shower head was placed at chest height. Toilet leaked and flushed intermittently on its own. Bed frame had a piece sticking out that had to be walked around to avoid injury or tripping. Furniture was worn. Old furniture and matresses were stored in stairwells.

Please don’t waste your money, our room 121 was infested with bed bugs. Woke up around 4am and they were all over the bed. Manager was not on scene therefore I had to email him and wait for a response. Needless to say we packed our stuff, left, came straight home to wash EVERYTHING. Worst trip ever.

I booked my stay with the pay later option which would have been taken care of at the property to my understanding. Check in started at 4pm. They tried to charge my card at 8 am and then agian at 1 pm. I receive a messaged telling me they were going to cancel. I called the property and explained that i keep my card locked but was curious as to why the charge was being placed now and not at arrival. The lady said it was beacuse they were fully booked and it was the only way to hold my reservation. I agreed to go ahead and pay. We arrived at 445 pm, 45 mins past check in start time. We were given the room key and went straight to the room hoping to shower before dinner. Our room door was wide open and hadnt been cleaned. We had to wait while cleaning staff rushed to clean the room (they were super apologetic and nice). Came back and turned on the air, put our things away, and went for dinner. Upon getting back the room was unfortunately super hot. The air didnt work correctly. At this point i was super aggrivated, we paid for a room with a balcony, hot tub, and moutain veiw. When in reality we got a room with a jetted tub, a street view, and an elevated deck. The air didnt work properly, they advertised a continental breakfast, which was literally just frozen waffles, yogurt, and cerial, and sent multiple notifications about check out starting at 8 am. Check out wasnt until 11. If it weren't for the fact we were only here for one night this would definitely be a one star.

BED BUGS!!!!!! DISGUISTING AND DIRTY HOTEL! Mold, toilet paper stuffed up in the bathroom vent because it's a big hole. Sheets where stained and black, horrible smell. Looked like the door had been broken into many times. We left and cut our vacation short and drove home since we couldn't stay there with bed bugs. And now the hotel is saying there are no bugs and won't refund our money! Shocked that Wyndham would allow their name on this property. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

You had to go to office and get towels and wash clothes and hand soap. Next to big daddy’s that plays loud music and people that go their for dinner park in hotel parking lot not much room for hotel guest. Breakfast was ok only plain waffles no butter for them or muffins

The room I booked and paid for was not what I received and apparently not available. I booked two rooms and was not offered any kind of compensation. The rooms were very dated and need attention the carpet was very dirty. Next time I visit the area I will be looking for different accommodations

First thing I found in the tub was pubic hairs, that had me grossed out right away. I walked with white socks on the floor and they turned brown from the dirty floor! The pool was closed and it showed them having a pool! I had to go down and ask for to and more wash cloths. There was no cleaning done the five days we were there, tiny little garbage can in the bathroom was the only garbage can in the room. Staff was super nice!

The office staff made the stay terrible! Called 2 days early to make sure we could do an early check in only to arrive and have to sit for over an hour. Then, we find out the room was clean and we could’ve checked in, but the office lady was too lazy to just ask the maid! We walked down and asked her (she didn’t speak English, but a simple interpretation app on a cell phone solved that easily!) and then she communicated to the lady up front. WHY the lady up front couldn’t have done this, IDK…

The staff was friendly and nice but the motel is in super bad shape (it’s falling apart) I paid $314 for one night (Saturday night) and the room I got (room #222) was horrible I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels/ motels (expensive and cheap) and in my opinion this room should not have costed more than $100. “The ceiling is coming apart the “Jacuzzi” had a horrible smell and it was dirty and all the furniture is outdated/old and beaten up) see pictures below

A quick 10 minute walk to town. Great hotel if you have kids as it is right next to a nice playground. Spacious rooms.
