Not far from several ocean beaches. Near some great options for meals - dine in or take away. Wonderful hosts.

Great place to explore the top of New Zealand. Quiet home. Had full use of kitchen and breakfast was supplied.

I liked everything about this property but especially the hospitality and warmth shown to us during our stay. I have stayed at many top level hotels which did not come close to the hospitality we received.

Great friendly owners clean and homely.

A great place to relax. Lovely setting, very private and peaceful. The Pohutukawa room has it's own kitchenette and a private bathroom outside which was very clean. Breakfast supplied which included cereals and fresh bread with butter and spreads. I would recommend staying here.

The place was really quirky and Katrina was really welcoming. It was a perfect stop for us on our way to Cape Reinga

I liked the privacy of our own cabin with our own toilet and bathroom. I liked that breakfast was provided too. The room was a bit tight though when 2 people were up and about

The place is serene and beautiful. Paul and Katalina were the best hosts.

Absolutely fabulous 10 out of 10. We had their cottage very nice, self contained and the bed was lovely. Will definately stay here again and again.

Lovely place! We felt at home the minute we arrived!

Clean, quiet, and tidy room in the Whatuwhiwhi (heart of the beautiful Karikari Peninsula). Only minutes drive to Tokerau Beach, or to my favourite beach in New Zealand, Karikari Moana. Shared living area and bathrooms full of awesome kiwiana. Comfy bed, and nice continental breakfast. Had a nice warm welcome from Paul on arrival.
Great value for money for the budget conscious. Highly recommend.

peaceful and lovely view. Very relaxing and within easy reach of beautiful beaches.

The kitchen was stocked well. Guests came and went but we all respected the house and each other. Had what we needed and was walking distance to takeaways and the tavern. Bed was comfortable but a bit squeeky. So many wonderful books to read! We'd stay there again.

The lodge is a delightful place and very comfortable. The owners were very helpful, friendly, and available. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. The lodge is decorated in Tongan and Polynesian theme.
There are many books to read. Our room was great and bathroom had a large floor shower. We have not seen a cleaner place to stay. Nice area to take a walk and close to the water and the Winery where we had dinner at the cafe with wine and watched the sunset.
We plan to go back with our family in November.

This is a gem of a place. For those who like things a bit quirky, then this place is a must, especially in the top room. The decorations in the room are a winner, and there is plenty of room to relax indoor and outdoor.

Very nice house, host was so nice,
Offered us paddle boards or kayaks, we didn't have time but wished we could have. They were very helpful and cheerful. You can drive your car on the beach!
