Choosing this fabulous hotel was the best decision I made when I started planning my trip to El Salvador. The Number One reason is the staff-- Andrea, Carolina and Gerardo at the front desk, Olga and Fatima in the kitchen, and Maribel in housekeeping. I hope I did not forget anyone. I traveled to El Salvador alone to do research on the assault on women's reproductive rights in El Salvador, and for tourism too, The staff helped me with whatever I needed, and made me feel "at home" every evening. I never felt alone, I had my new Salvadoran family at Arbol de Fuego. My room was perfect, just the right size for one person, decorated in colorful Salvadoran colors. Lots of plants right outside my room. The hotel is eco-friendly with a "green roof," heated by solar panels. Breakfast was delicious-- Salvadoran "tipico" with eggs, platanos and rice one day, a big bowl of fresh fruit, granola and yoghurt the next day. The area is very safe, just a few minutes walk to Antigua Cuscatlan Park and lots of restaurants. I can't wait to return to San Salvador next year and see my friends at this superb hotel.
There was a tropical storm my second day in El Salvador. Even the great staff from Arbol de Fuego could not prevent the storm,

The Arbol de Fuego hotel was beyond our expectations. It’s an oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city, and it lives up to its aspiration as an ecological, environmentally friendly hotel: they get their hot water from a passive solar heater and a good chunk of their power from EVs. They also boast a green roof on which they grow some of the herbs used in the Kitchen to prepare the simple, yet very tasty breakfast included (plenty of choices, by the way). Rooms are clean and cool, and the plant and art-filled courtyards and corridors give off a very peaceful vibe. The staff is quite attentive and accommodating. The neighborhood is safe, and the whole experience was wholesome and pleasant. Will definitely stay in it next time we go back!

I had a wonderful time at this Hotel. The room was quiet and fresh, with much welcome A/C. Wi-Fi was good and reliable, and everything was extremely clean. Breakfast comes included with your stay, and all menu options are truly delicious! I strongly recommend the organic, home-made mango marmalade. The whole place is busting with lovely plants, flowers, and local crafts, some of which are for sale as souvenirs. The ambiance is very peaceful. The hotel is environmentally friendly, with renewable energies to drive some of their power, and a green roof. The place is family-owned, it turns out, which reflects on the very kind staff and their willingness to go above and beyond in making sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible.

Staff was incredibly kind, always here to help and give us advices about the city, restaurants, and transportation. The room was really clean, and breakfast in the patio is a lovely way to start the day.

The included breakfast was fresh and served in a lovely garden area. The neighborhood was nice and quiet with plenty of restaurants. The owner takes a lot of pride in all the eco friendly features of the hotel.
Honestly, I can’t say there was anything I didn’t like!

Amazing Eco hotel, friendly and very very helpful staff. Nice small garden, plants. Good breakfast. All speak good English. The manager was very nice and helpful! We loved everything. Little bit far to the old town but the taxi was so cheap. We could stay more days in this hotel in San Salvador.

The only thing I can say about it is concerning the pillows, they could be softer.
