The Villa is a small boutique hotel in the town of Colonno which is pretty quiet (except for a rooster in the morning) and we did not find much to do around the area. The location is a far from tourist areas and managing transportation around the lake is a bit tricky unless you rent a car, and this hotel has it's own garage. We were in a Superior King suite which has STUNNING views. The concierge and staff were very friendly and helpful and booked us taxis (really expensive) and organized a boat ride with "Boat Lake Como 1975" - this is a must because the prices and captain are amazing! The room and bathroom were clean and modern.
On our first night we found a scorpion in the room, second night a spider the size of my palm and spiderwebs all over the balcony, but thats the price of beautiful natural surroundings. Hotel entrance is only accessible by foot or a buggy which take you up a semi-steep incline. You need to coordinate with conceirge for luggage and everytime you want to leave/return to the hotel unless you enjoy the walk up and are physically able. The reception area is tiny, breakfast was a bit limited but you can order ala carte and no room service at night. If you are looking for luxury and pampering this might not be for you.

Hotel is great!
booking.com committed fraud on me and owes me: EUR 680,39. Don't use this platform to book hotels!

The tiny village where it is located and the staff was super nice. The people of the village are one of the nicest i have met ever. Totally worth it.

Booked a Junior Suite which had amazing views of the Lake and a large balcony where we could sit out and relax. We loved it.

Beautiful boutique hotel

The staff was very nice and accomodating.
The AC in our room did not work properly and we were sweating all night. It would be good to know that the hotel is far away from the towns of Bellagio and Varenna; but that is not the hotels fault. Also, there are no taxis or Uber in the area near by, so keep that in mind when booking. The only way to get around is the bus or by walking. The breakfast was okay. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

The views are great. The place is clean. The staff were great. I wish they had a better breakfast. Other places we stayed at had a much better breakfast and cheaper rates.

Completely new, carefully designed, small hotel. Clean, spacious room. Small but clean pool with exceptional view on the Como Lake. Nice atmosphere and very kind and helpful stuff.
The hotel is located on a steep slope with pedestrian access only. Parking is located in a garage next to main road and can be easily reached by elevator.
Good breakfast and excellent coffee.
The hotel is located in a village Colonno with convenient access to local buses and boats.
