Close to centre
Arrived at 4. Key to our room not in key box. Returned at 5.30. Manager not there. Returned At 6 and got another room. Fine in the end but frustrating initially.

Prime location. Room is basic but clean. super welcoming and friendly manager.
3.5
Comfortable and very good location, right next to the Hauptmarkt
Noisy at night, but to be fair it's not the hotel's fault.
3.5
Check-In was really quick and communication was good. The location is superb
The check-out time at 10 could be increased to 11 or 12. The interior is a bit old fashioned and the floor could be replaced. The room size was quite big.

great position, great bed, nice price
i was somehow expecting breakfast but i probably just misunderstood sth, not a big deal

Great location good in Trier not far off train stations etc and attractions
3.5
The location was fabulous…close to the train station and market square. Restaurants and sights were within walking distance. the attached Italian restaurant was very good.
It was very noisy. Voices/noises in hallway, stairs, other rooms and outside echoed throughout our room and continued late into the night.
3.5
The location was really good, very centric. The room was also very warm which in these days is really welcomed!
The mattress was very soft and you could hear the street sounds as if you were there!

the location is awesome
this is a very minimal accommodation. it “does the trick” but is not much more than a room with a bed. Any kind of service is through email only - there is no staff present. the wood floors look tired and dingy.

Great price / quality!

the location was perfect. The restaurant was really good
there was a tv in the room but there was not connection to the tv. there was power, but no cable connection at all...i even looked at the back of the tv only to find that the cable that was supposed to be connected was laying there and was the wrong type of connection for this tv

Rustic but comfortable, the Staff 11/10 points
Nothing

The location was phenomenal. The room was very spacious and the bed was big. The opening windows and fan provided in the room were a big plus as there is no air conditioning. Water was nice and hot and plenty of towels and toilet paper were provided.
There was a smell of mildew on the bedding and some of the furniture was a bit wobbly. We confirmed a check in time between 1600 and 1700 and there was just a guy outside telling us to pick a key and see ourselves in. We were confused and tried calling the property, but didn’t get an answer and it was raining to we let ourselves in at the man’s instruction thinking maybe this is just the way they do check in during their closed hours. The cleaning lady walked in our room without knocking and we were completely nude so that was a bit embarrassing.

I liked the location.
The room was upstairs (22 steps, if you were lucky enough to get the first floor up) and there were no elevators. when we arrived, there was no one there to check us in. The restaurant is on the main floor and when it’s open, it was extremely busy, so much so, they were too busy to get us checked in. when we did get that accomplished, they carried our bags up for us. Thank God, there was a fan there or we would have had to leave! The room was so tiny, we were taking turns moving around. only room service we got was the day before we had to leave. No place to sit besides the bed. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone with disabilities. The restaurant was delicious! However, no breakfast there.

great food, very central. staff were nice
rooms were not very comfortable and needs an up grade
3.5
Location in centre of Trier which was ideal.
Breakfast wasn’t included
We could not gain access to premises (to be honest can’t recall if we were asked by owner to give estimated time of our arrival!) but we were fortunate that staff from attached restaurant to accommodation made phone call so we could access keys to premises

Great location.
Very bad internet connection

Hotel Frankenturm is right in the middle of the Altstadt with all the tourist attractions within walking distance. The location is excellent!! The restaurant is quite classy, so the rooms were a little bit of a disappointment, not matching the splendour of the restaurant, but it was clean with a nice en-suite. It lacked coffee making facilities though, but we carried our own, so no problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even held our luggage after checking out so that we were able to explore a little more before we departed for our next destination. Thanks for that!!! I can recommend the Hotel to tourists!!
Nothing of importance

Fantastic location, two minutes away from the old city but pretty quiet. Great shower.
The bed was older than me, at least the springs. Not very clean. Unfriendly staff.

A very fair priced, small boutique hotel,at the center of the city of Trier, clean, warm, with very good and polite personnel and room service the only negative point is that has no parking space .A must for young people couples or small budget travellers .Wish to come back soon.wir werden wieder sehen.
