About this house rental

Blueberry Hill is an original farmstead with a large, private, outdoor space and 25 ft of deeded frontage on Lake Michigan. An addition to the 1870 farmhouse provides modern luxury in over 4,000 sf of space to spread out, centered on a spectacular great room. 5 bedrooms include 3 king beds on the main level, with a bunk room and queen on the upper level, and a sleeper sofa in the upper loft. An elegant entry room includes a vintage piano, and space to sit and read in front of a fireplace. Another fireplace anchors the great room, next to the kitchen and dining area featuring a large farmhouse table. The well-equipped kitchen includes an island where guests can visit or help with food prep. Freshly painted and filled with new furniture and original artwork, the house is ready for your exceptional lakeside getaway.

The lower level is meant for play, with seating around a large TV, foosball and ping pong tables, and a poker table. Two Lovesacs next to the ping pong table provide places to watch the game, or read by the natural light. New in 2023 was a workout room, featuring an exercise bike, weight system, and yoga space.

Outdoors is where Blueberry Hill provides unique value to your vacation experience. The deck features lounge chairs and an 8-person hot tub, all overlooking the large and private yard, and walkway to the lake. A few steps from the deck brings you to a grill, cedar pavilion with cushioned seating, and 8-ft table for outdoor dining. A second 8-ft table overlooks the lake, where guests can take in the South Haven Pier and spectacular sunsets. Steps take you down to the lakefront, which has a small seating area among the large rocks. The yard includes a fire pit, surrounded by comfortable Adirondack chairs. A large, wooded, and fenced-in private dog yard is next to the outdoor dining space. Mature trees and room to run and play distinguish Blueberry Hill as a vacation home.

Take the beach chairs in the wagon to South Beach, just a 10-minute walk toward downtown. Take your bikes to the Kal-Haven trail, just down the street. Enjoy the best of South Haven, with this private retreat that is well-situated to beaches, shops, and restaurants.

The house and property are amazing....great location....5 minutes from downtown South Haven. The only negatives I have is there are 5 bedrooms and there are only 4 bathrooms (one in the basement) so someone has to share which may be an issue for some. The access to the beach has about 30 stairs which was fine for our family but for older people or people with health issues it may be a problem. There are no TV's in the bedrooms....I think that all VRBO homes should have TV's in the bedrooms so people can retire to their bedrom to relax and watch TV prior to going to bed. Overall this is a great property and great location....the outside of the house is incredible. The hot tub, covered porch, and fire pit area are awesome for enjoying the perfect Michigan summer weather!!!!

We enjoyed our short get away and loved this home so very much. It's full of so much character and charm. It is spacious, yet so comfortable. The furniture and beds were very comfortable (which is not always the case in rental homes), and my kiddos enjoyed the hot tub and activities in the basement. We also enjoyed the short walk to the cliff to see Lake Michigan, and it was the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the water. While it was too cold for the beach, the home is so close to the beaches and parks, and down town where all the fun is during the summer months. We wanted down time with our family, and it's exactly what we got. I would love to stay in your home again and recommend it to others!

Overall this property checked off all of the boxes for our stay. Plenty of space for everyone to gather or wander off. The kitchen/dining area was well stocked with everything we needed to cook and entertain. Perfect place for our annual family reunion/New Years Eve celebration!!

Loved Blueberry Hill! It’s larger than it looks, is family friendly, has tons of things to occupy any age and is well equipped for any chef Overall a wonderful couple of days. Would highly recommend to any family looking for a family home to enjoy time together

We had a great stay at blueberry hill! The house was lovely. Plenty of space for our extended family. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook. The backyard was great for the kids to run around in. We loved the fire pit. There was a beach at the bottom of the stairs which was unexpected but amazing! (Requires steep stairs and climbing over rocks but well worth it) The sunsets were awesome. We would absolutely stay again!

Every thing was as advertised. Enjoyed using the grill and hot tub. Distance from beach and down town was found to be perfect for us. Would rent this house again no questions asked.

The house is very spacious and clean. We prepared most of our own meals here, and we found the kitchen to be well equipped. Large dining room table was good for meals and games. We enjoyed the sunsets and then enjoyed the fire pit every night. We used the local access to the waterfront to enjoy the sunsets. There were 4 chairs down there and also large rocks to sit on. No beach as part of rental but home is very close to North and South Beach. We also used the ping pong table a lot. It appears to be a brand new set. We like that the house is dog friendly as we brought 2 dogs with us. Beautiful house in a great location.
