Hi 2nd stay at the old ministers house.
Great location, large comfortable house.
Had a fee glitches with the oven as the door would not stay closed, the light at the outside eating area was not working.
Had a brilliant time and hope to be back next year.

We had an excellent stay. The house is very well situated and equipped, with plenty of space and very comfortable. Couple of small points, the beds could do with larger sheets as the current ones are a bit small so constantly come untucked. Also the oven door doesnt close properly so lets out a lot of heat impacting cooking times and some of the hobs on the stove wouldnt light.

A great house for our family to come together. Location ideal with plenty of activities on the doorstep.
House very well appointed, nice touches with tissues in bedrooms, robes for hot tub, lovely whisky and honey hand wash from Highland Soap Company (available in a shop in Aviemore)
Would recommend anyone looking for a large family house to book the Old Minister's House

Wonderful place for family gathering such as ours. Lovely rooms, well appointed and comfortable. Could have done with more attention to amenities (no salt, no soap/body wash in bathrooms etc). Would highly recommend.

We were a family of 7 adults & 3 children celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary. The Old Ministers House was ideal for us all. The property exceeded our expectations and was exactly as described. Very clean & spacious with quality furniture & furnishings. All linen & towels, dish towels & wash up supplies are all provided as are robes for the hot tub which we all enjoyed. The fresh flowers & shortbread were a lovely touch. There was a minor maintenance issue which was attended to right away. The location is very convenient for all the activities you might want to do. Overall a very enjoyable stay for us all. We would highly recommend this property.

stunning house, which easily accommodates 14 people , setting beside river is wonderful. Well equipped for self catering. Any queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently by the team at great north lodges. The hot tube was an added bonus. The bedroom with annex has excellent king bed , but the annex has bunks not that suitable for adults( up to young teens really ).
Parking ample for 5 cars, covered area for bike storage (however this doesn't have a lockable door).
Well situated next door to a cafe and farm shop and within easy drive or walk to Aviemore, road and cycle paths on your doorstep and easy access to lots of walking areas.
the only slight drawback is the surrounding grounds are gravelled and mature bushes , no grassy area for young children, but areas available across the road. The river is not accessible from the house so safe for children .
Over all 1 of the best properties we have used in this area.

We could not have hoped for a better place to stay than The Old Minister’s House.
Let me first say, the location of this property cannot be beaten if you want to be in the heart of everything that is going on around the Cairngorms.
The house was spacious, comfortable and clean. Has the most amazing boot/drying room for anyone sharing this house on a ski trip I would imagine it would be perfect.
Couldn’t recommend this enough. Will have to come back in the summer months and enjoy sitting by the river on my balcony.

What a fabulous house for a get together. All bedrooms spacious, comfy beds and all en- suite.
Well equipped kitchen and the big dining room table was perfect to get everyone together.
Location was also excellent with easy access to Aviemore centre and all the activities.
Great value for money and would definitely recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Minister’s House last week. It was exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed for an extended family holiday. Amazingly spacious and well maintained with excellent views over the river. A really relaxing and tranquil setting and fantastic holiday home. We will definitely be back.

The Lodge was very comfortable and luxurious, I would definetly return. It was only a short walk into the centre of Aviemore. Lots of walking and cycle tracks around the lodge. The hot tub and BBQ area was a great hit with all the family. Plenty of spaces for 4 cars to park

We have stayed in Aviemore many times over the last 50 years and this house was superior to all the rest. It is very comfortable , spacious and well equipped. It was not cheap but we shared the cost with 5 other couples, making it affordable.
I would not hesitate to return and would recommend to our friends and family .

Fantastic location. Very nice 20 min walk to aviemore. Walking trails roundabout. Hot tub was superb. Just a fantastic space in general. Farm shop with food and gifts next door, also ‘Tree Tops’ right next door which would be a great activity to book in advance.
Only recommendation - would’ve been nice if kindling was available for the fire and logs were cut small enough to fit the stove!

We had a fabulous time celebrating my 50th birthday at The Old Ministers House in Aviemore, even “Spud the Piper” paid a visit and played a few tunes which was such a lovely surprise gift. The house was very spacious, clean and accommodated our family well. The location is fabulous with plenty of walking options directly from the house but was still close enough to Aviemore Centre. The garden with hot tub was also great with plenty of seating however, the seating at the riverside at the back of the house could do with being replaced as it was in pretty poor condition. Also, we used the BBQ on the Sunday for lunch however, the drip tray underneath the BBQ had not be cleaned and therefore the BBQ caught on fire which could have been a disaster if we hadn’t managed to disconnect the gas and remove from the outside hut, as had we not done that the hut would most likely have gone on fire. Also, we hadn’t managed to cook all of the food at that point which was a bit disappointing. We therefore called the maintenance person who attended within 20 minutes who apologised for the inconvenience as the BBQ should have been fit for use. However, we understand that this was an omission, I.e. ensuring that the drip tray was clean. Therefore, based on our experience I would not locate the BBQ itself within the he hut/seating area. Overall, I would certainly recommend this property as we did really enjoy our stay and think that both the house and location are fabulous.

Just back from a long weekend here with family (12 adults)
The house was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, the location was great, quiet and relaxing but close enough to shops bars etc, rooms were spacious, little extra touch with gowns and slippers provided was great. Nice seating area outside aswell.
Plenty room for parking 4 cars.
Definitely would return to this property.

A great stay in a terrific location. The house was big enough to fit the four of our families with plenty space remaining. We didn't feel at any point cramped or living on top of one and other.
Aviemore has plenty of things to do and amenities for any length of holiday but this was the ideal house in which to stay.
The only area I'd ask for consideration of review would be the time to get into the property- 1700 is somewhat late on in the day. The check out time of 1000 is also pretty early. Otherwise it was perfect.

The location of the Old Minister’s House is first class, with walks, activities, shops and restaurants all within walking distance. The accommodation is excellent for big family gatherings. We had 12 staying and could have had 3 more as some beds weren’t used. The only let down was the outside area. The furniture is very disappointing and the gravel at the picnic tables make it unsuitable for a wheelchair. Having said that though, there’s nothing we’ve found that ticks all our boxes like the Old Ministers House so we hope to be back next year.

Fantastic house with loads of room and everything you need. Great BBQ setup and outdoor seating. The location couldn't be better. Close to Aviemore but also felt like you were not going to bother anyone with any noise. Would highly recommend.
